Hit there, I am traveling to Bahrain from Washington DC and need to know if I need a transit via for the 1:30hrs layoever time that I will be in KWI. I am not US citizen.

So you're transiting in Kuwait? What country ARE you a citizen of?

IIm am a citizen of Dominican Republic.

My friend tells me he never leaves the gate when he takes this flight, so he doesnt need a visa. He, however is a US citizen.

Yes, if you're on the United flight that just stops in KWI before continuing to BAH you don't have to get off the plane or leave the gate area.

Is the KC Airport all on ground level?

All the passenger areas are on one level - it's an older design

My parents are flying Delta from China. I will meet them in DTW, and 3 of us then fly to Providence on Delta again after 3 hours. Instead of dropping off their baggages after customs, could my parents just take their baggages and meet me outside the international arrival pickup place, and re-check their bags in counter? My parents don't speak English, so I am looking for the least confusing strategy for them.

Delta is in Terminal E. As international arrivals at DTW, your parents need to go through passport check, pick up bags, & go through customs clearance. With their bags in tow, they can exit the terminal & meet you outside - or proceed to the Arrivals hall and meet up at the information counter.

DTW doesn't have a "Terminal E". I think what he's asking is can they re-check their bags at the regular re-check counter on the upper level rather than the international re-check at the exit to immigration. I think the answer is yes, but I'm not 100% sure. It probably won't be too hard for them to use the international re-check - there are likely even signs in Chinese.

  • Going to Sydney

My wife and I will be flying in on United from Baltimore and arrive at LAX at 8:30 PM. The connecting flight on United leaves for Sydney at 10:10 PM. Will that be enough time? This is our first international flight. Will we have to go thru customs in LAX? Thanks.

Yes, that should be plenty of time. All the United gates at LAX are connected beyond security and are an easy walk. You will not have to go through any immigration in LAX on your way to Australia, only on the way back.

  • Flying from Austin-IAH-SJO (Costa Rica)

My family is flying from Austin to Costa Rica, but we go through IAH both ways. I see lots of helpful advice about understanding that we must clear customs in Houston on the way back. Does anyone know if we have to clear customs in Houston on our way TO Costa Rica, from Austin? Can we not clear customs in Austin and then not worry about having to re-check out bags in Houston on our way to Costa Rica? Thanks!

No, the only time you will go through any immigration on the way TO Costa Rica is when you get to Costa Rica. In IAH on the way there you will just have to go from your arriving gate to your departing gate - you won't have to do anything with your bags.

Awesome, thank you for the info.

  • Best Place to Meet - SFO - United

My daughter is arriving at the B Concourse (United Express) and I am arriving about 30 minutes later, Terminal 3, Concourse F. What is the best place for us to meet? Thanks!

Your daughter arrives in Terminal 1 (B gates), where she should proceed to the Red-line of the AirTrain (an automated people mover) to Terminal 3 (your arrivals terminal). Have her meet you in the Arrivals area, next to the Information counter.

  • From Jefferson bus to Delta check in
    Apr 29, 2013

Can one easily get from the bus to the check in? How?

MSP has 2 terminals T1 Lindbergh & T2 Humphrey. The Jefferson Lines scheduled bus (visit: jeffersonlines.com) stop at the Lindbergh Terminal's Transit Center. Then take the tram and arrive at the Lindbergh Terminal's Tram Level; then proceed to the departures level. However, if you depart from the Humphrey Terminal you must take the light rail transit from the Lindbergh Terminal.

Does Skywest have curbside baggage service? Do they give you time to unload? We will have alot of luggage and 2 kids. Will I have to leave my family and return our rental car by myself?

Skywest operates as United Express at SFO. (Open skywest.com) Uniitd Airlines are listed in Terminals 3 & International Terminal. Contact United Express as to whether they have curbside service. Otherwise return rental car and board the Airtrain with family & bags to your connecting terminal.
