I am flying From Richmond, Va and arrive in Fort Lauderdale at 10:01 am, I will not have any checked bags just carryon. I fly out of FLL to key west at 11:35 am. Will I have enough time to get off JetBlue and check in to 3M.

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time.

My daughter is flying from Montreal to Lax to catch her flight to Sydney. Does she have to get her bags at Lax and recheck them? Customs ?? she is a Us citizen . Montreal is closer to Us than Boston

She will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal. She will not have to go through Immigration in LAX. If you tell me what airlines she is flying and if all her flights are on one reservation or not I can help you more with terminals/

Is 1 hour and a half enough time to clear customs in MSP before connecting to Boston?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Winnipeg. All you have to do in MSP is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hi, I am flying from Vancouver via seattle to Beijing, and my tickets are booked from the same airline. Do I need to claim the baggages in seattle?

No, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver and not have to claim your baggage in Seattle on your way to Beijing.

I am traveling AA from London to Curaqao with 15hours layover in Miami.Have purchased tickets with AA to final destination. Is there possible to stay over at the hotell at the airport.I asume that il have to clare customs/security to do so.Is it possible to check lugage direct to Curaqao when the layover is so long between flights? Or do i need to collect them and recheck the bags again after clair bordercontroll/customs ?

You will have to go through US Immigration and customs whether you plan to stay in a hotel or not - there are no "sterile" International connections at US Airports. Since it sounds like your connection is overnight, you will have to claim your bags in Miami and then re-check them in the morning.

Flying into LAS on Delta, want to meet our son arriving on United, and then meet our parents arriving on Southwest. Is it possible to meet them without leaving terminal security?

Yes, if none of you have checked baggage. You need to go to your son's gate in the D gates (you will also arrive in the D gates) - then take the train to Terminal 1 (follow signs for Delta baggage claim) and then meet your parents in the Delta or Southwest baggage claim.

If your son has checked bags, it won't be possible since he will have to claim his bags in Terminal 3.

I am flying from ATL to London Gatwick with a layover at MCO with Delta. Do I go through domestic or International? Also, am I allowed to pack my full sized toiletry items in my checked bag? Thank you.

Also, when arriving at MCO will I have to claim and recheck my bag or is it switched over to my next flight with Virgin?

You can go to either, but I would say go to Domestic as your flight to Orlando will leave from that side. Assuming you purchased your tickets on one reservation, your bags will automatically be transferred in Orlando.

My flight back to hilo leaves at 5:00 pm . I will be dropped off @ 1:00 pm by a friend. Options to eat or rest? I believe the flight leaves from terminal 8. This is a new terminal to me, I know terminal 7 options are slim.

Terminal 7 and 8 are really just two wings of the same building. Yeah, there's not a lot there but there is some stuff. If you just want to relax buy a day pass to the United Club in Terminal 7. You can get them secondhand on Ebay pretty cheap.

  • nervous driver drop off DTW for Delta Domestic departure

Arriving to DTW from toledo oh. and being dropped off for a Domestic Delta flight. I'll have a VERY unfamiliar and nervous driver. Can someone suggest very basic steps to give them when arriv. from I-275 to simply leave me close to Delta departure Thanks much

There's LOTS of signs pointing the way from I-275 to the McNamara Terminal. Also, don't get worried if they accidentally get off for the arrivals level instead of the departures level, you can still get to the check in counters and gates from the arrivals level.

We are arriving from London at 2.40pm connecting with a flight to New Orleans scheduled to take off at 3.55. Will we have enough time to clear immigration, collect our baggage and make the flight?

that is a good 15 minutes below the recommended time for that connection.

When My tickets (my own and 3 children) were purchased I had a 57min connection time in Chicago on my return from Boston to Calgary, Alberta. However, as the trip approaches that has been changed to 28 minutes! I am not an experienced traveler and my children have never travelled. What do I do? And How do we make our connection in time? TIA,

It's possible but it depends on your flight being on-time or preferably early. Since it was an involuntary schedule change, you can contact your airline or travel agent and request an earlier flight from Boston.

I am a U.S. citizen traveling from Birmingham UK to Detroit USA with layover in AMS. I booked entIre flight through Delta although the first leg is run by KLM and the final is run by Delta. Will I need to collect my luggage at AMS and go through customs and passport control then recheck prior to the AMS to Detroit flight? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

No, all you have to do in Amsterdam is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You will not have to go through passport control since you are not entering the Schengen Area

Many thanks ZAP. That is what I needed to hear.

Can I keep my wallet in my pocket while going through the x-ray? I've heard many different things ranging from keep it in your carry-on to put it in the tray that moves through the x-ray I'm not sure what to do.
