    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP! I LOST MY PASSPORT ON DECEMBER 21ST SOMEWHERE IN THE UNITED TERMINAL. I WAS ON A FLIGHT FROM LAX-OHARE AND THEN TOOK A FLIGHT FROM OHARE-EWR. MY NAME IS AMANDA COHEN AND IT IS A US ISSUED PASSPORT FROM NEW JERSEY. IF FOUND PLEASE EMAIL ME AT AMANDA.A.COHEN@GMAIL.COM

    ORD rules: 1. If you lost an item near ticket counters, gate areas or on your airplane, contact your airline. 2. If you lost an item at the security checkpoint, contact TSA at 773-377-1210 - PASSPORTS USUALLY ARE BEING TURNED OVER TO TSA. 3. If you lost an item in the parking facility, contact Standard Parking at 773-686-7532. 4. If you lost an item in the public areas of the terminal, contact the Chicago Police at 773-686-2385.

    I suggest you contact TSA security at 773-377-1210 - as passports lost would be most likely turned over to TSA. However, you also need to contact your airline's Lost & Found department if passport was lost either at the gate area or onboard your plane.

  • Lost my iPad in the TSA check point

     I came from Newark Airport to Miami international airport today, 27 december 2011. The flight number was AA 1921 in the gate 34 and bording time 5:30 am. I passed the check point, more less at 5:00 am and when I was there, the oficial returned my box to put my notebook and iPad out of my backpack. I don't know what happened, but when I arrived in Miami, I was just with my notebook inside my backpack. I don't have yet a return call from lost and found phone number 908-787 0667. The iPad was in a black case, with a cream cover of leather and in the back, a black cover made of plastic. I hope any of you may help me because I use it in my job.

    For items lost at the TSA Security Check Point, you need to contact the TSA Lost and Found at (908) 787-0667.

    I went to the TSA and they said me that everything lost in the check point area is gaved to the lost and found from the airport. What do I have to do???

    I went to the TSA and they said that everything lost at the check point area is directed to the lost and found from the airport every day. So it is very possible that the ipad is in the lost and found from the airport.

    I presume you arrive at ORD from another flight, in which case you checked your bags in at your original departure airport, and your bags' tag should indicate transfer and end destinations. That way your bags automatically will be transferred to your connecting flight. Do make sure you know what terminal you will later depart from. ORD has Terminals 1, 2, 3 & 5 - The Pedestrian Tunnel Level connects the terminals.

    Thank You. I will actually be originating my trip in Chicago so my bags will not be checked in yet. I'm trying to pick up a couple of late Christmas gifts before my trip overseas and just need to put my bags somewhere.

    It is so frustrating to contact the lost and found and just be able to let a voice mail at a machine. I did this and after 24h I still have no reply from the EWR. You pay boarding taxes and don't have a service that can support you for critical issues as work tools like computers.

    I agree it's very frustrated for TSA to just provide one unattended voice mail; Calls are ignored! I happy to go back to the airport and retrieve my laptop (ACER), left TSA CP C108.
