I am meeting someone who is arriving from Brazil with a show dog. Can you suggest a point for us to meet and will that be before or after she gets the dog?

On arrival at JFK your friend will have to go through passport control, pick up bags and go through customs clearance. After she has retrieved her dog (who may be required to undergo quarantine inspection), she should pick up any one of the white telephones to have you paged. Best place for meeting up is in front of the information desk on the arrivals level. (JFK has no cell phone waiting lot).

Just asking,? is there a service that will pick up bags from domestic terminal and deliver to international terminal so pax does not miss checking in to Charter flight? Can it even be done ?

While Skycaps are available in the baggage claim areas of the terminals, you may find other connection options by opening www.ifly.com/dfw and clicking on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, then scrolling down to the detailed text.

  • Left Luggage facility
    Nov 13, 2012
    1
I have 2 questions regarding my LAX arrival and departure. I will arrive at 1:30 P.M. on an international flight, Korean Airlines, then connect to a domestic flight American Airlines at 11P.M. That's around 8 hours layover. I plan to leave the LAX and go to church to attend a Sunday Mass. 1) Is there a Left luggage facility in LAX where I could leave my luggage? 2.) What is the nearest Catholic Church iat lAX?

According to LAX you need to contact your airline to arrange baggage storage. For Church services you need to open http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=Los+Angeles+catholic+church&ei=UTF-8&fr=moz35

  • 16 hour layover GDL to DFW
    Nov 10, 2012
    1
2 adults 1 infant have a 16 hour layover in IAH from GDL. What happens to our checked bags??

You need to contact your airline; however, note that if you use different airline you also need to find out if first airline will transfer bags to second one, as not all Airlines do - if not, you would have to go to the Terminal of your connecting airline and re-check in your bags there. On arrival at IAH, presuming you use United, you would either arrive at Terminals C or E - at gates C3-45 is a connector to Terminal E, where you need to go through passport control, pick up bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in your bags. A 16-hr layover with a baby in tow is quite an undertaking; it may be easier for you to take your bags along, after passing customs clearance (presuming you stay over at a hotel) that way you have the assurance that your re-checked bags the next day will arrive safely at DFW.
