Hello, I have hair extensions with the the little metal clips. I am flying from Lubbock to Austin this month and I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be okay to wear the extensions through security. Thanks!

It's not illegal, but you may require hand-inspection.

  • Mom needs wheelchair from JetBlue to connecting EL AL flight.

Mom is coming from PBI JetBlue to JFK EL AL. I understand that EL AL recently partnered with JetBlue for trips to Israel. I've notified both airlines that she will need a wheelchair. I will be meeting her at the EL AL Terminal. The question is: What is the process of the handovers to attendants on arrival to JFK, who will take her from the JetBlue Terminal to the EL AL terminal and will she be assisted during the process at Customs?.

  • connection time between FCO - DBV and check-in

Hi, I will arrive on Rome FCO at 11:20h with TAP from Porto (Portugal) and I have a flight from Vueling to Dubrovnik at 12:35h. Since Vueling doesn't allow me to check in online in advance for flights between FCO and DBV, I will need to get out, go to check-in counter of Vueling, which closes 45min before departure, make my check in and pass again through security and go to gate for Vueling flight. Both flights are at Terminal 3. My questions are: 1. Are 20 min enough to get out the plane and arrive to check-in counter? 2. Will 20 min be enough again to go back from check-in counter to Gate of departure of Vueling to DBV? 3. Do I need to pass any passport/documents control to flight from Rome to Dubrovnik (I'm a EU citizen)? 4. Is it easy to find the check-in counters when you exit the arrivals gate? Any hints? 5. Is there any way of making the checking at FCO with Vueling without leaving the security zone of Terminal 3 to reenter it again after check in? Thank you in advance for your help and I hope you can provide me some tips. Thanks. Paulo

20 minutes is probably enough but it certainly leaves very little room for any delays. There is Schengen exit passport control when you enter the gate wing for your flight to Dubrovnik. I can't say without a doubt that it will be impossible for you to make this connection, but it will be very very difficult.

flying in from belfast then on to orlando. do we need to change terminals and if so what is distane and time it takes. thank you

You may arrive in Terminal B or Terminal C. In either case, in Newark you will go through US Immigration, collect your baggage, go through US Customs, and then re-check your bags with United. Then if you arrived in Terminal B you will have to take the Airtrain to Terminal C. Then you will go through security and to your departure gate to orlando.

  • Baggage Drop off help and check in

Hi. I'm moving to England and arriving at ORD via Peoria Charter Coach. I will have 2 check suitcases and 1 carry on for a United flight to BHX. I know this is a stupid question but will there be help when the bus drops me off to get my bags to the check in counter? I will have already checked my bags in online the day before and paid the requisite fees. Thanks so much for answering my question!

The buses drop you off on level 1 of the parking garage, there are not porters there. You will have to manage your bags on your own. If you can't carry your bags, get a cheap portable luggage cart and either put it in your bags when you're done or dispose of it when you're done using it.

    Thanks!

  • Wheelchair assist between terminals & recheck luggage????

Confused. 1) Do I have to recheck luggage for United if I have to move from Term C to Term B? 2) Is there assistance avail for a wheelchair passenger to get from Term C to Term B?

You do not have to re-check baggage, it will be transferred automatically. If you need wheelchair assistance, call United before your flight.

  • Time Between local vs. International flights to Ireland

We are flying out of JFK on Air Lingus at 9:40pm. I need to book flights from DC to JFK and am not sure how much time from our arrival on the local flight we need before getting on the Air Lingus flight to/from our trip. Can you advise? Thank you!

Since you are booking separate tickets I would try to get in before 6:30 PM.

    Thanks so much!

  • Connection YVR-SEA-TKO

Do I have to enter the U.S. to check in with ANA and get boarding pass for Tokyo - NH1077? Or do I stay within secure area on arrival from YVR?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Vancouver, so your arrival into Seattle will be like a domestic flight. Did you purchase separate tickets? If so you will have to exit the secure area to claim your bags, re-check them with ANA, and then go back through security and to your departure concourse. If you purchased a single ticket then your bags will be checked through to Tokyo and you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I will have NO checked bags.

In that case if you can get your ANA boarding pass before hand you can go directly from your arrival gate to your departure gate in S Satellite.

  • Connecting AMS to KRS - baggage?
    Aug 29, 2014
    1
My wife is flying MSP-AMS-KRS; MSP-AMS on Delta, AMS-KRS on KLM City. After arriving in AMS, will she only go through passport control? Will she have to collect baggage, customs, and re-check, or is baggage sent straight through to Kristiansand and only passport control and customs in Norway? She is traveling on a Brazilian passport.

No, she won't have to claim her baggage in AMS. She will go through Schengen passport control and security when she enters the departure pier for her KRS flight.

I plan on parking and meeting my friend. Where is the best place? Is there a customs exit in Terminal 2 I can access?

The customs exit is on the lower level.

My son is travelling from CIncinnati to Manchester changing at Philadeplhia. He arrives at Terminal C at 7.55pm and leaves from Terminal A at 8.50pm to Manchester on 31.8.14. As he is travelling on his own, I wonder if u could let me know if this will be enough time for him to catch the connecting flight home.

Yes, that should be enough time. All he has to do in PHL on his way to Manchester is to walk from his arrival gate to his departure gate, which are connected by walkways inside security.

Thank u very much for your reponse. U have put my mind at rest now

  • Lost and Found?

I left a book behind at the airport over the weekend. Is there a lost and found? No one picks up the phone at the airport and so far no one has returned my call when I left a message.

This is not the airport's website. You'll just have to keep calling.

  • Flying from CTA to States, stop in FCO

I'm flying from CTA to The states using Alitalia and I connect in FCO. I already have all my boarding passes and tickets. Will 2 hour layover be enough to get on my next plane? What will the process be?

If both flights are on Alitalia you will arrive in Terminal 1 and follow the signs to Terminal 3. At some point along the way you will go through Schengen exit passport control and security. You should have enough time.

  • Thomas Cook Airlines

Thomas Cook Airlines will start a 3 x per week charter flight from Manchester to New York in 2015. I'm booked onto that service and wondered if anyone knows which JFK terminal we would be using on arrival?

The Terminal has not been announced yet as the flight is still 7 months away. However, it will likely be either Terminal 1 or Terminal 4.

    Thank you

I'm traveling from Guadalajara, Mexico [Delta574] to Los Angeles then to Kahului [Delta1219]... i have a lay over of 2 hours in LAX, do you think I'll be able to pass customs, TSA, and perhaps re.check my baggage (don't know if Delta will put them from Guadalajara checked till Kahului). By the way I'm Mexican so the line will be longer in customs, I'm guessing

You should have enough time. Everything should be within Terminal 5. You will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs, then re-check your bags with Delta.
