  • Check in Domestic or International Terminal

Departing from ATL airport to Cabo San Lucas, however have a connection in Dallas Fort Worth to Cabo. Do I check in at ATL Domestic or International terminal for my flight?

Are you flying American Airlines? If so you have to check in in the Domestic Terminal, American does not have a counter in the International Terminal.

  • AMS -DTW to ATL

Hi! I will be flying from AMS to DTW and from there to ATL with a 1:20 connection. Both Delta flights. Pretty terrified I won't make it... I take it I arrive at the A concourse but don't know from where I will be departing again. Any idea if this connection is feasible?

You will arrive in A, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, go through security and to your departure gate which will also be on the A Concourse. You should barely have enough time, but if there's a delay and you miss your connection, Delta operates nearly constant flights between Detroit and Atlanta that you can be rebooked on.

  • Baggage transfer service

Although not yet set in stone, we may be flying PHX-IAH-DME in early June on two carriers, US Airways (PHX-IAH) and Singapore (IAH-DME). As the two no longer are "partner" airlines, we will have to carry our bags (9, although we are hoping to slim down) from Terminal A to Terminal D. Is there any service at IAH that will assist us in moving our bags from the two terminals (golf cart, etc.)?

There is no such service. Pack a portable luggage cart to bring the bags on the inter-terminal train. Also, note that even though they are no longer partners, US Airways and Singapore still have an interline baggage agreement. If you purchase both the tickets on the same reservation your bags will be tagged through to Moscow and you won't have to claim and transport them in Houston.

If I have booked wheelchair assistance with my Airline for when I arrive from the UK, does that assistance stop once I have got my luggage or does it continue onto the light rail and on to the main exit?

It ends once you get your luggage, it presumes you have your own wheelchair if you need one that will be traveling as checked baggage.

We are arriving from London, arriving 4pm to IAH, and have a flight from IAH to SNA at 5.35pm. I have pretty much convinced myself there is not going to be enough time :( would I be right?

No, you're not right, that should be enough time.,

  • Enough layover at LAX between domestic and international flight?
    Feb 10, 2015

Hello, We are flying from Orlando to LAX with Delta, arriving at 3:54 pm (hopefully no delays). We have about 4 hours at LAX before catching an international flight with Qantas to Melbourne, Australia at 8:35 pm. Is 4 hours enough time to get our luggage from Delta, go to the international terminal, check in with Qantas, and get through immigration? Thanks very much!

Yes, that should be enough time. You do not have to go through immigration. There is no US Immigration when leaving the US. You will just have to check in with Qantas and go through security.

Hi we are US Citizen and arriving from PVR, Mexico by American Airlines and have to catch domestic AA flight and we have 1:38 in between. Is it possible to catch our connection?

Yes, it is possible but it depends on your first flight being on-time and immigration not being backed up.

  • Enquiry on Etihad Airline 7065 and 7091 - Abu Dhabi-Rome-Barcelona

Hi I have a flight Etihad 7065 departing Abu Dhabi on March 1st 9AM. Arriving at Rome FCO. Which terminal does this arrive at Rome? This is Operated by (AZ) Alitalia 853. The layover is for 1.75 Hours. And then I have a connecting flight Etihad 7091 from ROME FCO to Barcelona. Which is the departing terminal? Do I have to exit the airport terminals , check out luggage and check in again during this layover? How do I check if Etihad will handle the luggage through and through? Do I need to get my visa stamped on arrival and departure at Rome FCO?

You will follow signs to your departure gate in Terminal 1. On your way you will go through Schengen passport control. You have enough time. You do not have to do anything with your baggage.

  • 1hr 15mins Domestic Connection
    Feb 9, 2015

I'm not worried about my connection on my way to my destination but coming back I only have an hour and 15 minutes in ATL, and my seats are in towards the back on both of those flights (Row 34 on a 757-200 and Row 31 on an MD88) should I make my connection even if I possibly got to go from Concourse A to Concourse E?

That should be enough time. You won't have to go from A to E - E is only used for international departures. The plane train connects all concourses inside security.

  • Never Flown- Procedure from Charlotte To San Francisco

Hello. Ive never been on a plane before. Just wondering what I should expect or do for a non-stop flight from charlotte to San Francisco on AA. I Haven't actually booked it yet..just trying to get a feel for what to expect. Thanks

Note that that flight will be operated by US Airways. You will be able to check-in online at usairways.com 24 hours before your flight and print off your boarding pass at home. If you want to check a bag you will have to pay a checked bag fee, if you want to carry on a bag it will have to fit in the airline's required dimensions. You will have to go through security before the flight. There will be food for sale on the plane. Do you have any more specific questions?

This is the first time I will be flying internationally. I leave YEG-ORD-Bradley intl. but I'm freaking out I have no idea where to go after I get of the plane. Do I go get my checked luggage then to immigration n customs or immigration bags then customs an then recheck bags!?!. It a bit late but help plz and also terminal 5 sound like far away fro me I only have 57mim

You will pre-clear US Immigration in Edmonton. All you have to do in Chicago is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You do not have to go to or from Terminal 5. You have enough time.

Ok I guess I was misinformed before because many told me I would have to to all the custom stuff In ORD. Well thanx a lot ey!
