I'm flying in from CLT arriving on Z concourse and have 30 minutes between arrival and departure at B79...is this enough time and what's the fastest way to get between these terminals?

US Airways no longer uses the Z gates, Frontier uses them now. If you are flying US Airways/American both of your flights will be on B.

We are arriving on United from Boise and only have 44 minutes before the next United Flight leaves for Brussells. Is that enough time to get through customs/security?

Hi, when you fly from Europe to the US electronic devices need to be able to be switched on and be fully charged before flying to the US. We will fly from Amsterdam to Philadelphia and from Philadelphia to Knoxville. After the roughly 9 hr flight from Europe to the US I'm pretty sure the iPad and iPods batteries will be done. Will this be a problem for our flight from Philadelphia to Knowxville? Are we allowed to bring those kind of devices on board with empty batteries when you have a connecting flight? Thanks for the help!

They do not have that requirement when going through security at US Airports.

I have a flight coming from Guadalajara to Montreal. I connect through Houston. So my question is do I have to pass through US customs ? Or can I go through by means of "in transit"

You do have to go through US Immigration but in many cases you will not have to claim your bag because IAH is part of a pilot program where bags of Intl->Intl connecting passengers do not have to be claimed to go through US customs. However, check with the agents when you arrive.

  • ATL to AMS to RAK with Delta

Hi, I am a US Citizen and I will be traveling from Atlanta to AMS to RAK in Marrakesh. Is 1 hour and 45 minutes enough time to connect in AMS? Thanks!

    Sorry, it is through KLM.

Yes, that should be enough time. As both flights are outside schengen all you have to do in AMS is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate and go through security.

My international flight arrives in houston at 5h15, and I have a connection to SFO @ 21h00. I'm looking to rent a car for the day. What time should I bring the car back, to make it to my flight? Thank you!

I would plan on being back at IAH at about 7 PM (1900). Be aware that traffic in Houston is very bad so plan accordingly.

  • Traveling from PHX to AHD India via ORD and Abu dhabi

My wife and kids are traveling from PHX to AHD via ORD and Abu dhabi by Etihad. As we are leaving USA for the first time, I would like to understand will there by any custom formalities to be done ? And where do we need to return I94 - PHX or ORD ? Do they need to pick baggages at ORD and then again undergo screening ?

If all your flights were purchased on a single ticket then you will not have to claim your baggage in ORD. You do not go through US Immigration when leaving the US. You will hand in your I94 when boarding your Etihad flight in ORD. Note that at ORD you will have to change terminals and go through security though.

Thanks ZAP for your reply. Appreciate it.

  • Time it takes to get outside?

About how long would it take for someone to land in Terminal 2, collect baggage (assuming typical baggage times), and make it outside?

Probably about 15-20 minutes after arrival.

I am departing from Terminal 2. However, I came into Mexico via car and apparently did not compete the entry process--I paid the entry fee, but did not get my passport stamped nor the travel form signed Any thoughts on what I can do?

Worse taxi service there is --always late and costs you your flight. Avoid at all costs.

  • Silver Airways to Southwest

How much time do I need to get from Silver Airways Terminal 1 Concouse C to Southwest Airlines Terminal 1 Concouse B? Do I have to go through the TSA screening between the concourses? I have 50 minutes between landing and takeoff and hope it's enough time. Thanks for any help.

Yes, you will have to go through TSA between concourses. If you plan on having checked bags you have no chance to make that connection in 50 minutes. With carry-ons you will barely make it if your Silver flight is on-time, your silver flight is domestic or has preclerance, and you check-in for your Southwest flight online.

Flying from San Francisco to Paris to Montpelier, where do I go through customs

You will go through Schengen immigration in Paris as you pass from the Schengen to non-schengen side of the airport. You however won't claim your bags until you get to Montpelier.
