- IPL Airport Overview
Imperial County Airport IPL, also known as Boley Field, is a small airport in El Centro, California, tucked in the hot and dry southeast corner of the state near the border with Mexico. IPL airport meets all of the general aviation, air transportation and air cargo needs of the county. Commercial service is limited to commuter flights to Los Angeles and Yuma, offered by Skywest. El Centro is also home to the Naval Air Facility where the Navy’s Blue Angels spend every winter practicing and preparing for the summer air show season. The Blue Angels can be seen darting over Imperial County from January through March.
