Ireland West Knock NOC Airport Overview

Ireland West Airport Knock NOC serves the County of Mayo, West Ireland, and major cities and towns within a 90-minute drive from the Airport are: Castlebar, Ballina, Galway, Sligo, Donegal, Longford, Leitrim & Roscommon.  The Airport is operated by Connaught Airport Development Co.Ltd.

The Airport is located 5.6 km southwest of Charleston, at  the main motorway N17 North-South, between Galway and Sligo,

With one runway and 685,779 passengers in 2012,  Ireland West Aiport is served domestic and international airlines offering direct flights to cities within Europe, with connections around the world, and by seasonal charters to popular vacation destinations.

Parking at Ireland West Airport Knock is available in the outdoor lot across from the passenger terminal, with 1,500 spaces, available for short- and long-term parking. Keep your car park ticket with you and pay at the automatic pay stations in the passenger terminal before returning to your car. The pay stations accept credit cards. No payment facility is at the exit barriers.
 
To get from Ireland West Airport Knock to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi, a bus or a train:
1. Licensed taxi cabs are located at the taxi rank outside the passenger terminal, or can be pre-booked.  The Guideline price is 1.25 EUR/km or 2EUR/mile. A cab to Charlestown commands the minimum fare of about 15 EUR, to Swinford & Kilelly it’s also 15 EUR, to Knock it’s 25 EUR
2. Bus Eireann (Tel: +35 309 671 800) operates a shuttle bus ‘BusAer’ (listed on Bus Eireann’s Table No. 449)up to 8 times daily, between the Airport and Charlestown, connecting there with its long-distance Expressway (listed on Bus Eireann’s Table No. 22) service to Dublin, Cork, Galway, Derry, Belfast, Westport, and towns in between.
3. The nearest railway station to the Airport is Claremorris (31 km) or Ballyhaunis (22 km), both are on the Dublin Heuston – Westport line. You can reach these two stations by either a taxi or by Eireann Bus.
