Hi I am panicking already! We have to stop in jfk to refuel then get back in the same plane do we have to get our luggage and do customs and immigration? Am sure it's only a 2hr stop been at jfk before! Nightmare!
You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and get on a different plane to go to Orlando. You have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I will be flying in a few weeks from Toronto Pearson Airport to Rome Italy however we are connecting through JFK. We are on Delta airlines out of toronto and then flying Delta Operated by Alitalia to Rome - we have two hours between when we land at JFK and when we fly out to Rome - do we need to Grab our luggage off the carousal at JFK and re-check them for our flight to Rome? Thanks so much
Is it one reservation or two separate reservations? If it's one reservation you don't need to do anything with your bags in JFK. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. You will just have to take the AirTrain to Terminal 1 and go through security.
Hi, I'm traveling with family of 2 children under 4 years old my wife , and I. Departing from Qatar to JFK terminal 7, then from JFK to Det through delta airline. My concern is how to get our 6 baggages transfers from terminals . And weather they provide special service for transportation people with their baggage from terminals
There is a train called the AirTrain that runs between all terminals outside security. You will have to carry your bags on that.
I arrival to JFK airport at 13:30 from MXP (Italy) and I have to depart from EWR airport at 18:00. I'll pick up my luggage at JFK after immigration. I ask: Do I have to redo the normal check at EWR? Is there in EWR a sort of recheck?
You will have to check your bags at the normal check-in counter in Newark.
Hey, I am arriving at JFK by JetBlue airlines at 12:06 pm from Buffalo ( Terminal 5) and I have a connecting flight(Air India) to New Delhi at 2:25 pm from terminal 4. Both the flights are on the same reservation. Would I have to check in my baggage again and would be there be enough time to get through security ?
Yes, if you purchased two separate reservations you will have to claim your bags in Terminal 5, take them to Terminal 4, re-check them and go through security. It will be very difficult to do that in the time you have, but it's not impossible.
