Hi, I'll be flying into JFK on Singapore Airlines SQ26, arriving 11:10am and am looking for a connecting flight to MCO. I'm looking at Jetblue flight 1089, leaving at 2:09pm. Will there be enough time for the connection? We have checked baggage but if it helps, are flying First class on Singapore Airlines so will get our baggage before everyone else.
Yes, that should be possible considering you will be flying first class.
I am flying (Delta) from Atlanta to JFK and change flight (China Eastern) from JFK to PVG in Shanghai, China. My question is do I have to claim my luggage at JFK and recheck in?
Are both tickets on the same reservation or are they on two separate reservations?
I am an Ethiopian citizen do I need a visa to have a connection flight in JFK?
Yes, you do.
Flying Delta (both trips) from Washington DC to JFK having 3hrs layover and then to Barcelona. We are arriving to and departure from terminal 4. Do we have to get our luggage and go through the security again? JFK is always a mess. I'm so nervous.
No, you don't have to do anything with your bags in JFK or go through Security in JFK on your way to Barcelona. There is no US Customs when leaving the US. You have plenty of time.
We are flying in Delta at 1:59 pm on 7/1. We have a 3.5 Hour layover. We've never been to a New York. Is there enough time to leave the airport? Or should we stay? Our flights departs at 5:18 pm for Las Vegas.
No, that is not enough time to go anywhere.
I have an overnight layover. Flying in on delta and leaving on el al. I have access to the lounge. Is there any way to get luggage from Delta and then go the lounge with my luggage and stay there for my layover?
No, you cannot take checked luggage to the lounge. Also the lounge isn't open overnight.
The lounge I'm talking about is open 24 hrs
Hi! I'm flying from Berlin to JFK this saturday with AA, landing in NY at 4.56pm and have a connecting flight to Miami at 5.00 pm, also with AA. Both are in terminal 8. Is there any way that I can come through any faster? Like if I talk to the staff on my first plane? I'm underage and flying by myself for the first time. Thank you for your help.

My nephew is flying from Mumbai, India into jfk terminal 2 on air India and has 8 hour layover before his connecting delta flight to Pittsburgh from terminal 4. Booking is done together but he has received 2 different pnr for air India and delta. I was wondering if he will have to stay within the airport or he can come out to meet me? Can he not cross over the immigration / security?
He will not arrive in Terminal 2. Air India flights arrive in Terminal 4. Upon arrival in JFK he will go through US Immigration, claim his bags and go through customs. At this point he will be in the US and outside security so you could meet him then. Before his flight to pittsburgh he will have to re-check his bags with Delta and go through security in T4.
Thanks a lot.
We have a 12 hours layover before our international flight to home country and we have two young kids, how we best spend this long hours? Could we book a hotel? But then are we allowed to go outside the terminal as we will be coming from Seattle and I'm not sure whether US departure stamp will be stamped there so we will not be allowed to New York!! Also our layover is from 6 am to 6 pm, how hotel booking will be, one or two nights?
The US does not do departure stamps. The airline just reports to immigration that you left when you board your flight out of the country. So yes, you could leave the airport at JFK. It's unlikely any hotel would allow a 6 or 7 AM check-in but you could call some to find out.
Hello. My wife and I have a 7 hr and 27 min layover at JFK this Wednesday. We arrive at JFK at 1:44 pm, and depart for Iceland on our connecting flight at 9:11 pm. Does this give us enough time to take the train into Manhattan?
It takes over an hour each way and you have to be at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight to Iceland, so that eats up 4-5 hours right there - so you'd have 3 hours to sightsee. It's up to you to determine if you think that's worth it.
