My son has a stopover .. can I meet him?May 6, 201310My son has a 4 hour stopover tomorrow evening in Terminal 4. Ideally, I want to be able to meet him and have dinner together before he gets on his next flight. I'm just wondering if this is possible. I'm assuming that I won't be allowed to pass through security and go in without a ticket. If he comes out through security, are there any terminals where we can go sit down and eat without needing a ticket?Lalahposted on Sun, May 5While the bulk of restaurants/bars are located in the secured areas of the JFK terminals, there are some available at pre-security. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/jfk, then click on "Airport Information", top left and on "Restaurants, Bars & Shops". Then click on any of the terminals and you find restaurants, etc. after shops (with details and map where to find them. (From Terminal to Terminal, take the 'Airline Terminals Train' serving pre-security areas.momay13posted on Mon, May 6

Delta terminal to JFKMar 7, 201310hi i'm travelling from o'hare by delta to new york and have to catch a connecting international flight at JFk my question to u is how do i get to jfk from the delta terminal? im a little confused because i hear the delta terminal is across the street or is there an air train that connects the two places?Mazdingerdasposted on Thu, Mar 7Is your flight from O'Hare to NYC to Laguardia Airport or JFK Airport? If it's to Laguardia you will have to take a taxi or shuttle to JFK and you will need a few hours to make the connection. If you are flying to JFK then everything is connected. You don't have to take a train.ZAPposted on Thu, Mar 7

Conference callNov 24, 201210I have to make an important conference call two hours before my international flight from JFK and was wondering if anybody knows of a business center at JFK where I would have acess to a landline or alternatively a hotel nearby. THanksRocposted on Fri, Nov 23Unfortunately, JFK site does not list business services - see http://www.panynj.gov/airports/jfk-shops-restaurants-services.html - then click on each terminal & go down to "Services"; They do have airline lounges - but don't name them: located at T1 (4 on Concourse level, 3 on Mezzanine level); T3 - near gate 12; T4 - 2 on departures level; T8 - post-security, near entrance to Concourse B. Alternatively: Call the Ramada Plaza (building 144) tel. 718-995-9000).sanov12posted on Sat, Nov 24

Restaurants BEFORE securityOct 5, 201210My wife is flying out of Terminal 7 at JFK, and I was going with her to see her off. We were wondering if there are any restaurants we can go to before she has to go through security?PRTinNYCposted on Thu, Oct 4

Meeting friend in T8Sep 24, 201210I am coming in from DCA into JFK at Terminal 8. I have a two hour layover, going to L.A. leaving on a Sunday night at 9 PM. I would like to leave security and meet a local NYC friend for coffee somewhere in T8. Is it OK to leave security and check back in? Will I have time? Thanks for any info you can give me.flyawaysoonposted on Mon, Sep 24If you have the boarding pass for your connecting flight, just show it at the security check on your way back. If you don't have one, go to the airline counter first. Two hours are plenty, but watch the clock, as you need time to go through security check and on to your gate.mosep12posted on Mon, Sep 24

LegendSep 9, 201200RIP OFF!!!!! I was travelling home and had a layover and needed to get some dinner. I ordered nachos and when my bill came there was an error. When I brought it up to the server he indicated there was an error in the menu. He looked at other menus and the prices were all the same. Upon speaking to the manager he indicated corporate must have changed the prices and there was nothing he could do. Poor customer service, I am a frequent traveller and will never go back there again.BFKposted on Sun, Sep 9
