Im arriving on a Delta flight from Edinburgh, at 13.30 into T4. I know I will need to clear immigration, collect my bags, re check them and get to T2 to catch a flight to Columbus at 14.57. its not very long, but it is a valid connection I'm told. what's the best way to reach T2 after re checking my bags in T4?

I don't think that's realistically enough time. I would go through security in T4 and take the shuttle to T2.

Thanks Zap, does that mean I re check my bags, head through security then take the shuttle at gate B18 or B54 to T2 gate C60?
I have a Grenada to LHR via JFK connecting flight with a 2h 40m layover, is this enough time and will I have to re check my bags?

What airlines are you flying? Are both flights on the same reservation?
GH19 hr ago
both delta airlines, both from terminal 4 and yes on the same reservation.
ZAP16 hr ago
Then yes, that should be enough time. You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
Flying Delta from LHR to JFK (terminal 4), connecting (JFK terminal 2) to CMH with 1 hour 27 minute layover. Is that enough time? I'd need to go through Customs, pick up and re-check my bag, and is there another security to go through? Thanks.
ZAP19 hr ago
That is not enough time. You need at least 2 hours for such a connection. Call whoever booked your flights and request a different connection.

Thanks. That's what I thought. I'm booking now on Delta's website and it's a connection that's coming up on their site.

How about this instead: Flying Delta from LHR, connecting in Detroit, to Columbus, Ohio. 2 hour 51 minute lay-over in Detroit. Is that enough time?
Hello! My mom will arrive from Russia at terminal 1 , then she has a flight with JetBlue at terminal 5, prior purchasing a ticket I asked to make sure time is enough. It's just 2 hours 34 minutes. Need some more information please and thank you
That will be pretty difficult. I recommend at least 3 hours for a connection like that.
Hello I have flights booked on a single ticket from the UK to Las Vegas connecting at JFK in 1 hour 30 mins between terminals 4 and 2. At the time of original booking our connection wasn't that tight but the flight times have now changed. Will we have enough time to clear immigration/collect bags/re-check bags etc or is it too tight? Also would someone be able to run through exactly what to do. Thanks!
That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. You could reject the schedule change and ask to be rebooked over a different Delta hub.
I'm flying from malaga Spain to LAX with delta airlines through JFK. We booked the flight suggested from delta with a 1h 25 min layover in JFK. Is it enough time to get through customs/inmigration and take the second flight? Are the delta arrival and departure terminals the same in JFK? Do we have to check luggage again in JFK? Thank you very much
No, that is not enough time. In JFK you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. Even though both flights will be in Terminal 4 I recommend at least 2 hours.
I fly from aruba to amsterdam with delta. We have a transfer at jfk onto another delta plane, arriving t2 and departure t4, non-us citizen. 1.20h time, so cld be tight. The best i can do is take seats in the front of the plane, go through immigration and then stay inside security and jump on this jitney bus. Right? Where do i get onto this jitney inside security area of t2?
You Pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Aruba. All you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
