I arrive LGA, taxi to JFK T 7. Where can I meet family once they clear immigration and customs?

If you arrive at JFK by car, you have the option of using the free 70-space Cell Phone Lot located near the Airport entrance--just off the Van Wyck Expressway. All the terminals can be accessed from this lot in less than 5 minutes. The lot allows drivers to wait until their arriving passengers have arrived, collected their baggage and call you to be picked up at the curb. Alternatively, park in the short-term lot or the nearest garage to the terminal. Otherwise, it may be a good idea to meet up near the information counter on the Arrivals level of Terminal 7.

Is it possible to walk from Terminal 3 to Terminal and vice versa?

You did not indicate the other terminal. Therefore, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/jfk and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS. Below the map are details about all 7 terminals and their connections.

  • Terminal 8 - Concourses B and C

On the map of Terminal 8 - how are Concourse B and Concourse C connected? Is there a way to walk from one to the other? Hard to tell on map. Thanks!

On arrival at JFK, Terminal 8, Concourse B, simply walk towards the Departure level and over to Concourse C (signs will guide you). the B gates are for United & US Airways. Concourse B has gates west B15 to B37; gates east B38 to B60, branching into north gates B59 to B79, and south gates B80 to B95.

  • From T3 to T1, custom security control

I arrive to JFK T3 from Miami (Delta Air Lines) and I go to Rome - Europe (Delta Air Lines) from T1.Where Is necessary custom security control in T3 or T1, or only passport control because make the custom security control to Miami? What is the best transfer from T3 to T1?

    1. Only international arrivals at the U.S. need to go through passport & customs clearance. On arrival at JFK at Terminal 1, your connecting 'Airtrain' station to Terminal 1 is located outside of domestic arrivals, and you will arrive at Terminal 1 at the Arrivals level, outside, center. Thereafter proceed to the departure level, go through security check and on to your gate.

  • Pick-up at JFK Terminal 1

I have to pick up friends by car, one in a wheel chair from Term 1 and need to know a good meeting point outside "Arrivals", and do not want to park the car to do so. Any suggestions I can pass on to the travelers to meet me at a certain door, sign or the like? Can I pull up to the doors? Is there mandatory pick-up at some traffic island like at AA terminal?

If you need to pick up an arriving passenger at JFK Airport, use the free 70-space Cell Phone Lot located near the Airport entrance--just off the Van Wyck Expressway. All the terminals can be accessed from this lot in less than 5 minutes. The lot allows drivers to wait until their passengers have arrived, collected their baggage and call you to be picked up at the curb. Alternatively, park in the short-term lot or the nearest garage to the terminal. YOU CANNOT WAIT IN FRONT OF THE ENTRANCE DOORS - unless your party is already waiting for you at the curb.

i arrive to terminal 2 with delta e i ve connetion with delta to italy after 50 min..any chance to make connection?do i have to take my bag e re-check in?

At JFK, 50 minutes transfer via the Airtrain, serving all terminals every 8 mins on average, is sufficient. If Delta is also your connecting airline to Italy, your bags will be transferred - if you use a different airline, check with Delta if it will transfer bags to that airline gate - not all airlines transfer. Delta uses Terminals 2, 3 & 4 (T4 being the international terminal). Your ticket will indicate transfer gate - so does the overhead screen on your arrival at JFK. Open www.ifly.com/jfk & click "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS - you get all the information you need there - scroll down to the text.

I ARRIVE AT TERMINAL 2 AND CONNECT TO AFRICA IN TERMINAL 3. HOW FAR IS IT FROM TERMINAL 2 TO 3 WHEN WALKING? DO YOU HAVE TO CLEAR SECURITY AGAIN OR WILL BAGS BE CHECKED THROUGH?

    1. Terminal 2 of JFK Airport is for Delta with Gates 19-29, and a walkway to Terminal 3 next to Gate 19A. At Terminal 3 - also used by Delta, with gates 1-18, and you arrive there near gate 18. No need to clear security; or check bags again (as you use only one airline - correct?).

  • T8 to T3 in under an hour

Currently have an American Airlines flight booked to land at 8 am in T8 and a delta departure T3 at 8:50am - chances of making the connection tomorrow moring?

On arrival at JFK, look for the "Airtrain" sign - that train is free within the airport, & makes its round among the terminals every 8 mins on average. Note, however, that it serves the post-security area of each terminal - you need to go through security check at T3 before moving on to your gate. On arrival make sure you check with the overhead screens as to your flight number, gate and departure time. You can make it, unless your incoming flight is seriously late.

  • Terminal 3 baggage - any food?

I have 4 hours to wait in terminal 3 at baggage for my ride. Are there any shops at baggage?

Terminal 3 has only restaurants in the unsecured area (Internatiobal Arrivals area: Dunkin' Doughnuts & Gourmet on the Fly; and some Food Courts; However, if you can leave your bags at the baggage office near the baggage carousels, you could walk over to Terminal 4, which has quite a number of entertainment and stores on the East & West Mezzanine level.

We are flying into terminal 8 one hour before the rest of family arrives at terminal 7. Would we be able to get our luggage and go to terminal 7 to meet them without having tickets? What is the best way to get to the other terminal?

Terminals 8 and 7 are not close to each other. You can take the Airtrain (follow signs) which runs on average every 8 mins and serves all terminals, stopping in their pre-security area. Best place to meet: next to the Information Counter in the Arrivals area of T7.

I am flying out of JFK to ANC on 7/13/12 using Alaska Airlines - what terminal should I be at?

Without a flight number I am unable to give you that information. Also, the JFK airline listing by terminals does not include Alaska Airline. JFK has Terminals 1 through 8, arranged in a circle. Your ticket should indicate the Terminal, i.e., T1, T8, etc.
