AA transit within Terminal 8Jun 5, 201320will be transiting in terminal 8 arriving from LHR at 1:35pm connecting to Orlando departing 2:55pm. Both AA Flights. Will that be enough time for immigration and customs baggage re-check? Are there special lines for transfer passengers at immigration?philposted on Wed, Jun 5[ Reply ][ Like ]There are no lines for transfer passengers. It will be very tough for you to make your connection unless your flight arrives early. Unfortunately, in case you miss your connection AA does not have a later flight that day to Orlando from JFK. Perhaps they can rebook you through Miami or on another airline if that happens.ZAPposted on Wed, Jun 5

Time BetweenJun 5, 201320If you have no luggage except for carry on and you are coming intoTerminal 7 at 5:10 pm will you be able to make a flight leaving Terminal 4 at 6:20 pm?Vern01posted on Tue, Jun 4If your first flight is domestic it's possible, but JFK is one of the most delay-prone airports in the country and your proposed connection is at a peak time. I would advise against trying it. If your first flight is international, no chance.ZAPposted on Tue, Jun 4

from terminal 4 to terminal 8Jun 3, 201310Hi - I'm flying in on KLM from amsterdam #630 @ 3:30 pm terminal 4 and then going onto boston via AA in terminal 8 @ 7:20 pm. Can I check my bag after immigration so I don't have to lug it on the train? thx!schposted on Mon, Jun 3It depends on whether your tickets were bought on the same reservation or not and whether your bag is checked through to BOS or not. KLM and AA do have an interline baggage agreement, but they probably won't check your bag through unless your tickets were bought on a single reservation.ZAPposted on Mon, Jun 3

Zurich via JFK to LAXJun 4, 201330I'll fly on June, 14th to JFK, arriving at 12:30pm (Terminal 4 I think) with Swiss and have to connect the United flight to LAX at 03:00pm. Is this enough time to change planes even I'll have to clear immigration (I'm German citizen) and costums? What terminal United operates it's flights to LAX from? Thank you very much for your help.RRKposted on Mon, Jun 3You will arrive in Terminal 4 and your United flight will leave from Terminal 7. Take the Air Terminals Train between the terminals.ZAPposted on Mon, Jun 3Thanks a lot. Is it possible to clear immigration and costum in 2:30h ?RRKposted on Mon, Jun 3

US Airways to PhxJun 3, 201310I fly AER LINGUS from Dublin to JFK and then US AIRWAYS to PHXtwposted on Mon, Jun 3Make sure to go through US customs clearance at Dublin! Your arrival is Terminal 4 (T4) and departure T7. Take the 'Air Terminals Train' (not the Airtrain) to T7, go through security check there, and and on to your gate. NOTE, however, that if Aer Lingus does not transfer your bags to US Airways, you need to claim your bags at T4 and check them in with US Airways at T7.mojun13posted on Mon, Jun 3

travelling aloneJun 3, 201310Hi,Departing Boston airport arriving JFK TERM 4 on flight AF 2741 at 814 pm. Onward connection to Dublin Terminal 4 departure at 9 29 pm on AF 3657. both flights operated by delta airlines. Have I enough time to make connection ??. I presume as all booked on same ticket hold luggage will be transferred straight through from Boston to Dublin and I won't need to collect and check in again. Thanks for your advice on thiskermitposted on Mon, Jun 3Note that your boston flight may arrive in Terminal 2, in which case you would have to take the Delta shuttle bus from Terminal 2 to Terminal 4. Yes, you won't have to do anything with your baggage. Even if you have to take the shuttle you should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.ZAPposted on Mon, Jun 3

China-JFK-FLLJun 1, 201341Hi there, Our schedule is PVG(Shianghai)-JFK-FLL. We will fly with China Eastern to JFK Terminal 1 and move to terminal 4 Delta. Time to arrive is 1:15 pm and depart 3:40 pm . 2.25 hrs transit time enough for JFK?? or unrealistic? Thanks!NaNNposted on Wed, May 29You have enough time. On arrival at JFK, you need to go through security check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance and then re-check-in your bags. Check with China Eastern whether they will transfer your bags to Delta flight; if not, you need to take your bags along and check them in at your connecting terminal's Delta counter. The 'Airline Terminals Train' runs on average every 8 mins from T1 (making stops at: T8, T7, T5 & T4) in the unsecured terminal areas. On arrival at your connecting terminal you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. IMPORTANT: Do check with Delta, which - as of May 24, used the newly expanded T4 only for flights to Amsterdam, NL, Georgetown, Guyana, St. Georges, Grenada & San Juan, P.R. - and all others at either T2 or T3.wemay13posted on Wed, May 291 person likes this post [ Like ]Note that there are no more flights from Terminal 3, it is closed. All Delta flights now used 2 or 4.ZAPposted on Sat, Jun 1

is a 56 minute transfer enough time?May 23, 201310I am traveling from MSP>JFK>SVO (Moscow) on Friday, May 24th. I am flying Delta all the way. I should arrive at JFK at 15:14 and depart for Moscow at 16:10, which is only a 56 minute layover. My flight is scheduled to arrive in Terminal 2 and depart from Terminal 4. I plan on taking the Delta shuttle so I do not have to go through security. How much time do you think this will take?Normanposted on Wed, May 22

Also will we have to claim our luggage and re check it in for American Airlinespk and tkposted on Tue, May 211 person likes this post [ Like ]Yes, you will have to claim your luggage in immigration, then re-check it once you exit customs. Then you take the Airtrain one stop from T7 to T8, then go through security and to your gate. You should have enough time.ZAPposted on Tue, May 21When we have claimed luggage in immigration do we re check it after customs in T7 before we get Airtrain to T8pk and tkposted on Tue, May 21

TransitMay 21, 201322I will arrive JFK New York Kennedy Airport terminal 4 at 1055hrs via SQ and need to depart from terminal 2 at 1435hrs to baltimore international airport via Delta. How to travel from T4 to T2? Any security check in between? Is the time sufficient? Do I need to re-check in my baggage? Thank you.ACHCposted on Tue, May 211 person likes this post [ Like ]After going through customs you should be able to re-check your baggage with Delta, then take the Airtrain to T2 and go through security (you may have to pick up your boarding pass from Delta first). You should have plenty of time.ZAPposted on Tue, May 211 person likes this post [ Like ]
