On 8/ /17, I fly from Lisbon to JFK on one ticket through Delta. Delta came up with the itinerary, so I made the assumption I would make my connection to MSP. I have a 97 minutes layover. I just have carry on luggage.
Will I make it?
You're flying LIS-JFK-MSP? Yes, that is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
That is reassuring. Let's hope all goes smoothly. Thanks
I will be arriving at Terminal 4 from LHR and have 2hr 45 m to make a connecting flight to JAX from terminal 2. After clearing Immigration and Customs and rechecking my bags please can you advise whether I should take Airtrain orDelta Shuttle Bus to Terminal 2? If the latter do I go through security in Terminal 4 before catching bus?
I would take the AirTrain, but if you decide to take the shuttle, yes, you go through security in T4 and then take the shuttle. Note however, that Jacksonville flights leave from both terminals 2 and 4 so be sure to check or the monitor on the day of your flight before running off to another terminal.
Hello. We are flying from Brussels and have 2h10 min ground time in JFK before our flight to LAX. This is with Delta. Can anybody confirm that it is same terminal for arrival and departure in this case? (T4). Is it sufficient time or should I worry?
You will arrive in Terminal 4, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security and to your departure gate, which will also be in Terminal 4. You have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
How much time should it take me to get to gate 38 at JFK Terminal 8 once I clear security? It looks like a long distance. Is there motorized transport?
You take an underground moving walkway. It should take less than 10 minutes.
I will be arriving from Amsterdam to JFK via KLM (Delta) at 3:25pm, and then departing JFK to Sacramento at 6:34pm via JetBlue. Will 3 hours be enough time to get through customs and re-check bags? Thank you.
Yes, that should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I'm traveling from Buffalo New York to New York City JFK then flying straight to Santo Domingo where would I go through customs. The layover in JFK is only an hour
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. You will go through Dominican Republic Immigration and Customs in Santo Domingo. You have enough time if the flight from Buffalo is on-time.
if I arrive at JFK from Amsterdam on Delta at 11:51 AM, do I have time to get bags, go through customs, recheck bags at American and depart by 2:55 PM?
That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
US citizens - Planning to purchase tickets from Dublin to JFK on a KLM flight (operated by Delta), and then take a domestic flight with Delta from JFK to CLT. These would be via separate itineraries, and we are not planning on checking luggage. I saw on a previous post that flights from Shannon have a resource where you can pre-clear US customs before departing from Ireland. Would this be available for us in this case? It looks like both flights typically operate in terminal 4 at JFK, so we could save a lot of time if we have already cleared customs and can just go gate to gate without checked bags. The layover between the flights we are looking at is just over an hour, so if we have to go through customs in JFK then we will need to adjust our plans. Thanks!
Yes, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. So yes, you can just go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in JFK.
Flying from Bos Sunday to JFK and then Amsterdam. Landing from Bos at T2 at 6:44 pm, flight to AMS from T4 at 8:29 . Do I need to clear TSA and is this enough time...
You can take a Delta shuttle bus inside security from T2 to T4. You have enough time if the flight from Boston is on-time.
I'm flying in on Delta from Orlando with an ETA of 15.30 on a wednesday and then am booked on another flight to Zurich (ZHR) at 17.50 with AA. Is that enough time to claim and then re-check our luggage while also changing terminals? The bookings were done seperately.
That's just enough time if everything goes smoothly. You will take the AirTrain between terminals.
