Delta terminal 3 to Etihad terminal 4Apr 17, 201310I booked a ticket through Delta and will arrive in JFK terminal 3. I then booked a separate ticket through Etihad which is in terminal 4. My question is how would I do this? Would I go collect my baggage from terminal 3 then use the airtran to terminal 4 and then check my baggage in terminal 4 at the Etihad counter and finally go through security again? thanks... by the way my flight arrives at 3 PM at JFK and my Etihad flight doesn't leave until 10:30 PM, so I will have plenty of time shouldn't I?flyingsoonposted on Wed, Apr 17

from T8 to T1Apr 17, 201310Hi all, I will be traveling with a 3 y o and an 11 y o. I will land on T8 and have to get my luggage and make to T1 and have 4 and a half hours of layover time. I was just wondering if there is any help I can pay for to get all my luggage and help me with it all the way to T1. What are my options?rajty2000posted on Wed, Apr 17I take it you already checked with your first airline and it does NOT transfer bags to your connecting airline. In which case you should, on arrival, proceed to the baggage claim area, pick up a cart, load your bags, then take the elevator to the the 'Airline Terminals Train' - unload your cart before boarding the train to T1, your next stop. At T1, grab a cart and proceed to the check-in area. Alternatively, get a taxi.weapr13posted on Wed, Apr 17

Terminal 1 to 5Apr 16, 201330Hi there, I land in terminal 1 at 2:30 with eastern china and have a flight at 4:00 with jet blue in terminal 5. is it enough time. thanksbjsposted on Tue, Apr 16On arrival at JFK you need to go through passport check, pick up your bags and go through customs clearance & re-check-in your bag - unless China Eastern does not transfer your bags to your connecting JetBlue flight, in which case you need to take your bag along on the 'Airline Terminals Train' (follow signs) to your connecting terminal, where you need to (re-check-in your bag at the Departure level's JetBlue counter) go through security check and on to your connecting gate. (JetBlue is in both Terminals 4 & 5. If you need your bags to be checked in for JetBlue, your transfer time will be extremely tight!tuapr13posted on Tue, Apr 16On arrival at JFK you need to go through passport check, pick up your bags and go through customs clearance & re-check-in your bag - unless China Eastern does not transfer your bags to your connecting JetBlue flight, in which case you need to take your bag along on the 'Airline Terminals Train' (follow signs) to your connecting terminal, where you need to (re-check-in your bag at the Departure level's JetBlue counter) go through security check and on to your connecting gate. Egyptair -> American AirlinesApr 16, 201310I booked two separate tickets (due to a change in plans). I will be arriving on Egyptair in Terminal 4 and need to catch an American Airlines flight out of Terminal 8 two hours later. Is there an American transfer counter in customs of Terminal 4 where I can check my bags once I've cleared customs, or will I have to drag all my baggage on the AirTrain and check in at Terminal 8?ERposted on Mon, Apr 15

Heathrow to San Juan via JFKApr 15, 201310I have a delta flight to JFK landing at terminal 3 but then flight to San Juan also with delta departs from terminal 4. Will I need to recheck bags or will they only be checked at heathrow. We have 3 1/2 hours between flights if they are on time. Also how to we get from terminal 3 to 4 thanksSuzywooposted on Sun, Apr 14On arrival at JFK your bags will automatically be transferred to T4. All you need to do is look for the 'Airline Terminals Train' sign, board the train to T4 where you arrive in the unsecured area and need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate. On arrival at Heathrow you will have to go through 'non-Schengen immigration/ customs clearance procedure.moapr13posted on Mon, Apr 15

JFK connections & using United loungeApr 19, 201321Will be arriving from California on Jet Blue @T-5, then flying out 9 hours later on Air Berlin to Berlin @T-8. Would like to use passes for United lounge @ T-7 before international flight..... Would there be time to pick up bags @ T-5, check them in for Air Berlin & then go to T-7 lounge & then to T-8 for departure. Probably being overly optimistic to expect to do this???? Thanks for any advice.***posted on Sun, Apr 14At JFK, the 'Airline Terminals Train' runs between all terminals, but in the unsecured areas (meaning you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting Berlin flight), taking only minutes between terminals. After checking in with Air Berlin, you can take the train back to T7. Signs to the train will guide you.suarp13posted on Sun, Apr 141 person likes this post [ Like ]

Conncection flightsApr 14, 201310Im ariving at terminal 8 at 7:05 am from a flight via LAN from Ecuador. I have to do a connection flight to Montreal departing from terminal 7 at 10:45 via AirCanada. Am i supposed to go through inmigration already inside the airport, or am i supposed to leave go to the Airtrain and then come back in terminal 7 to fo the inmigration check again?panchersposted on Sat, Apr 13On arrival at JFK at T8, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag where indicated (if LAN transfers bags to AirCanada, if not you need to take bags along to T7 & check them in there with Air Canada). The 'Airline Terminals Train' (follow signs) will take you to T7, where you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. (T7 has gates 1-6 left, & gates 7-1 right.suapr13posted on Sun, Apr 14

Domestic to InternationalApr 9, 201310I have to travel from Terminal 7 on US Airways to Terminal 4 on Asiana and I have to get my boarding pass from their check-in counter. I only have carry ons to take so no checked baggage. Is 1 hour and 40 minutes enough time on a Thursday at around 11:20 am? What's the best way to transfer from Terminal 7 to Terminal 4?Loisposted on Tue, Apr 9On arrival at JFK, T7, take the 'Airline Terminals Train', making its continuous loop between the terminals (look for signs) to T4; after getting your boarding pass on the Departure Level, go through security check and on to your connecting gate. T4 has Concourse A, gates A2-7, and Concourse B, gates B20-31. No time to waste!tuapr13posted on Tue, Apr 9

Layover in JFKApr 5, 201310I am Egyptian and I have a Canadian permanent resident card and I have a layover in JFK airport .. Can I leave the airport for couple of hours without US visa?AHposted on Fri, Apr 5There's nobody who monitors who comes and goes from the airport. When you exit US immigration you will be in the non-sterile area, so you can go where you want. However, you will need a C-1 transit visa http://www.immihelp.com/visas/transitvisa/c1visa.htmlZAPposted on Fri, Apr 5

Toronto to San JuanApr 3, 201310I am considering a flight from Toronto to San Juan in December that connects through JFK. The layover is only 45 minutes but we can go through US customs in Pearson airport in Toronto so we can avoid that at JFK however the flight from Toronto arrives in terminal 2 and the flight to San Juan departs from terminal 4. Is the 45 minutes enough considering we don't have to clear customs? Both flights are with the same carrier so the bags should go all the way through.CDN girlposted on Tue, Apr 2Not advisable. Winter flight delays & Holiday rush at the security check means 45 min transfer is taking a big chance: On arrival a JFK, look for sign to the 'Air Terminals Train' connecting all terminals - however only in the unsecured areas. You will need to go through security check at at T4, before proceeding to your gate.tuapr13posted on Wed, Apr 3
