Arrive Terminal 8 depart Terminal 4Jan 29, 201310I arrive at 8:10 via AA & Depart at 10:40 am via EK. Do I have to check out & check in luggage again or do they transfer? Is it enough time to check in & out again? Please help me with as little time as possible. I don't want to loose my next flight in case first one is delayed. Thanks***posted on Tue, Jan 29You need to contact AA to find out if they transfer your bags at JFK (or go to the AA counter at your initial departure Airport). If not, you need to claim your bag and take it along on the "Airline Terminal Train" (follow signs - maps posted show it in yellow) where your next stops will be T7, T6, T5 & T4, taking no more than 15 mins. However, on arrival you will need to go (to departure level, Emirates counter, to re-check-in bag) and proceed to security checkpoints on either side of Concourse A (gates A2-7), and Concourse B (gates B20-31).tujan13posted on Tue, Jan 29

Jet blue to Singapore airlineJan 29, 201312I have only 1 hour to make a connect flight with Singapore airline. I travel from Boston to NY JFK by Jet Blue. Do I have time to make this connection?toyotaposted on Mon, Jan 281 person likes this post [ Like ]First you need to make sure that JetBlue will transfer your bags to Singapore Airline - if not, you need to claim your bag on arrival and check it in at the Singapore check-in counter before proceeding to your connecting flight. JetBlue uses Terminals 4 & 5, Singapore T4. If you need to transfer from T5 to T4 take the 'Airline Terminals Train' (marked on JFK's maps in yellow) serving the unsecured areas of the terminals - needing one stop only, but having to go through security check before proceeding to connecting gates.tujan13posted on Tue, Jan 291 person likes this post [ Like ]

JFK Terminal 8Jan 28, 201310My husband and I each fly into JFK airport at terminal 8. My flight is domestic and his is international, both are American Airlines. Will we be in the same building or in different buildings? Terminal 8 has two separate buildings. Thank you.runnerstephposted on Sun, Jan 27

cost of AirtrainJan 22, 201321Is the air train a free service or is there a ticket to be purchased ?flyerposted on Mon, Jan 211 person likes this post [ Like ]Recently the train serving solely JFK's terminals and making a continuous loop, was renamed 'Airline Terminal Train' to distinguish it from the Airtrain which runs from two separate routes of New York to JFK, stopping at JFK at each terminal (free within the airport). Each terminal stop connects to between Airtrain & Airline Terminal Train. Tickets can be purchase for the Airtrain at the arrivals level, transportation counter.tujan13posted on Tue, Jan 22

Same Terminal (5) but very short layoverJan 22, 201310I am arriving departing both through Terminal 5 (connecting Jet Blue to Hawaiian there, and Hawaiian to Jet Blue on the return). On the return trip however I only have 35 minutes of a layover! I originally thought this would not be a problem what so ever as they are the same terminal and hence *assumed* I wouldn't have to go through security. Looking at the map however it seems as though I may still have to...is 35 min enough time? If I miss it the next flight is not for another 9 hours :(Jenposted on Mon, Jan 21

AA connection?Jan 21, 201310I will be landing in T8 with American Airlines and will have 50 minutes to get to T4. Is that enough time? Or am I better off to pay the extra money to get another flight that allows for more time during the layover?T8 to T4posted on Sun, Jan 20

From terminal 5 to 7Jan 18, 201310On arrival at JFK, at T5, you need to take the "Airline Terminal Train" (follow signs) which runs on a continuous loop around the terminals in the non-secured areas. Your stops after T5 would be T4, T2/3, T1, T8, & T7 - 5 stops - about 12-15 mins. At T7 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate.frjan13posted on Fri, Jan 18

pick up someoneJan 13, 201320Hi, next 13th of february I´ll arrive to 8 terminal from the Dominican Republic, And my parents will arrive at the same time from spain to Terminal 7. Wich is the fastest method to pick them up at terminal 7?LCAposted on Sun, Jan 13Note that international arrivals at JFK need to go through passport check, pick up bags, & go through customs clearance first. With your bag in tow, follow the Airline Train sign and board the train to the next stop, which is Terminal 7. On arrival there, go go the Arrivals level and meet them near the information counter there.sujan13posted on Sun, Jan 13

Need to go from T3 to T1, Baggage claimJan 13, 201310My wife missed flight today due to some security check delay. She got tickets for tommorow and baggage is hold at JFK Delta baggage. Can someboy help on how to claim the luggage tomorrow at T3 from Delta and go to T1- departure to Paris to India.Kindly suggest best way to reach the boarding area after all process in T3JFK T3 to T1posted on Sat, Jan 12Delta Terminal 3 separates international & domestic arrivals on the Arrivals level - she should claim her bag in the domestic part of the Arrivals level, at the Delta baggage office there. Then, with bag in tow, follow the Airline Terminal Train sign and board that train, which makes stops between all terminals, but in the unsecured areas. At T1 she needs to go through security check before proceeding to her departing gate. However, if her flight to Paris is also by Delta, she should show her ticket to the Delta attendant at T3 & request bag transfer to T1. It is important that her checked bags will have all airport codes on their tags. Furthermore find out if the arriving airline (Delta?) will transfer bags to the connecting airline from Paris to India - if not, she will have to claim bag & check it in with that airline.sujan13posted on Sun, Jan 13

termianl to teminalJan 12, 201310Is an hour enough time to change terminals, security.?/?/? AA to Delta prob 8-2caposted on Fri, Jan 11At JFK, All terminals are served by the 'Airline Terminals Train' (marked on JFK's maps in yellow, and starting at T1 to T8, T7, T5, T4 & T2/3 and taking minutes between terminals. As the train only stops in the pre-security areas, you need to go through security check prior to moving on to your connecting gate. Delta uses both T2 & T3; American uses T8. You have enough time for transfer.sajan13posted on Sat, Jan 12

Travel time between terminalsJan 9, 201310How long does it take to get from Terminal 4 to Terminal 3? I have 1.5 hr layover between flights and am going to Ireland from San Francisco. Do I have to go through customs?tttinaposted on Wed, Jan 9Are you sure you arrive at T4 - which is the International Terminal - or did you reverse your terminals. On arrival at JFK, look for the Airline Terminals Train sign and board the train to the next stop - Terminal 3. The train runs in a continuous loop between all terminals and takes minutes, but serves only the unsecured (pre-security-check) areas. You need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate. NOTE: T4 has Concourses A & B with corresponding gates A2-A7 and B20-B30.wejan13posted on Wed, Jan 9

T4 to T3Jan 8, 201323My wife be arriving at Terminal 4 and need to catch Delta flight at Terminal 3. She do have bags to re-checkin. Do delta has re-checking counter at T4? or does she need to take the baggage alongwith her to T3 and re-checkin? Do air train let the baggage carts? Trully appreciate any advice.SBposted on Mon, Jan 72 people like this post [ Like ]Your wife need to re-check-in her bags with Delta only if the first (incoming) airline does not transfer to connecting Delta flight. Also, if she is an international arrival, she will need to go through passport control, pick up her bags, go through customs clearance and (if bags are being transferred) re-check-in her bag where indicated. If her arriving airline at JFK does not transfer bags, she needs to take her bag onto the Airline Train which serves all terminals outside of security - meaning she will have to go (to Delta counter and check in her bag (if not transferred) and through security check before proceeding to her gate at Terminal 3.tujan13posted on Tue, Jan 8
