Lockers for carry-on bagDec 14, 201210Hello, I have a connection of 12 hours in New York (JFK, landing and departure from terminal 3). I was wondering if anybody knows if there are lockers that I can leave my carry-on bag so I don't need to carry it with me in New York. Thanks in advance!Innaposted on Thu, Dec 13[ Reply ][ Like ]

Tel Aviv to JFK to Barbados (Bridgetown)Dec 9, 201231I am taking an El Al flight to JFK that gets into Terminal 4 and then I will take another international flight to Bridgetown on American Airlines that leaves from Terminal 8. Will I (an American citizen) or my boyfriend (an Israeli citizen) have to go through customs while we are in JFK? How do we make sure our bags go all the way through?audreygcposted on Sun, Dec 9All international arrivals at US airports, regardless of citizenship, need to go through passport control, pick up bags, go through customs clearance (where indicated) and - if continuing journey - re-check-in bags. You need to find out if El Al will transfer bags to AA connecting flight - if not, you need, after customs clearance, take your bag along and check it in at T8's Departure Level, at the AA counter. In either case you will transfer via Airtrain serving all terminals and coming around every 8 mins on average. The Airtrain (follow signs) serves only pre-security areas - at T8 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate.sudec12posted on Sun, Dec 91 person likes this post [ Like ]This is true even if we are only landing in JFK to switch to another international flight out of the United States?audreygcposted on Mon, Dec 10

Transit visaDec 10, 201221My son will take a flight from Toronto to Doha-Qatar by AA and will have a connection flight in JFK where he will arrive at terminal 8 and leave from terminal 4. Does he need a transit visa?Hzarandahposted on Sun, Dec 9At Toronto Pierson Airport he should go through US customs clearance. At JFK, on arrival, he needs to follow "Airtrain" sign which connects all JFK terminals in the non-secured areas. On arrival at T4, he needs to go through security check before proceeding to his connecting gate. He needs to make sure that AA will transfer bags to connecting airline, if he uses a different one (Qatar?), if not, he would need to take his bags along and check them in at T4 before proceeding to security check and gate.sudec12posted on Sun, Dec 9

JetBlue to United AirlinesDec 8, 201212I have an incoming flight from Buffalo (JetBlue) and outgoing to San Francisco (United) - what is the best transfer route?KPower62posted on Fri, Dec 71 person likes this post [ Like ]At JFK, JetBlue uses both Terminals 4 & 5, while United uses Terminal 7. T4 has Concourse A, gates A2-7, and Concourse B,gates B20-30 and an inside AirTrain station. T5 has 25 gates (no concourses). T7 has on its Concourse level 12 gates surrounding it. On arrival at JFK, follow the Airtrain sign and take it to Terminal 7. There you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. CHECK with JetBlue if they transfer your bags to United flight - if not you need to claim your bag on arrival and take it with you to T7, & check it in with United.sadec12posted on Sat, Dec 81 person likes this post [ Like ]

From T8 to T4Dec 8, 201210I have an AA flight from Toronto that arrives at 8:10 and have to transfer to a South African airlines flight which leaves at 10:40. Do I have enough time to get my bags and transfer?TOR FLTposted on Fri, Dec 71. I presume you already checked with AA and they do NOT transfer bags (in which case you need to take them to the connecting terminal and re-check them in at the South African airline counter on the departures level prior to proceeding to your next gate). Do take advantage of Toronto's US customs clearance, saving you time at JFK! You arrive via AA at Terminal 8 and depart from Terminal 4. On Arrival follow signs to the "Airtrain" which runs between all terminals on average every 8 mins., but in the non-secured area. In any case you need, at Terminal 4, go through security check. T4's Concourse level has Concourse A with gates A2-7, and Concourse B with gates B20-30. You have plenty of time!sadec12posted on Sat, Dec 8

time between terminalsDec 3, 201212I arrive at terminal 7 Air Canada Flight at 9:55 and have a connection to South African Airlines terminal 4 at 11:15 is that enough timebrucedog1356posted on Mon, Dec 31 person likes this post [ Like ]As both Air Canada & South African airlines belong to the Star Alliance, your bags will automatically be transferred to your connecting gate at JFK. On arrival at T7 (provided you went through US customs clearance in Canada) follow signs to the Airtrain running on average every 8 mins between all terminals, but at pre-security areas. At T4 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. If your departing Canada airport has no customs clearance, you would have to go through passport check, pick up your bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in your bags where indicated. Either way you should have enough time for transfer.monov12posted on Mon, Dec 31 person likes this post [ Like ]

From T8 to T1Nov 28, 201211I will arrive at JFK T8 from Miami in 8 th of Feb 2013, at 22.20 pm. with AA. Then I have connecting fligh to Istanbul in T1 at 23.15 pm. I am not sure either that I have enouhg time to catch my plane to Istanbul. Please give me a clue to go to T1 easier. By the way, my luggages will be checked in Miami airport so will have no luggages with me.panar66posted on Tue, Nov 271 person likes this post [ Like ]As you arrive at JFK via AA, which only uses Terminal 8, you need to find out from AA if they will transfer your bags to your connecting Airline (which?)at Terminal 1, which houses a number of major international carriers. If AA does not transfer, you need to claim your bag in the baggage area of T8 and take then on the Airtrain - follow signs - (no carts allowed) to Terminal 1, where you arrive in the pre-security area and need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate - 55 mins transfer time would then make it extremely tight!wenov12posted on Wed, Nov 28

conecting dom to int'l flightNov 25, 201212We arrive in JFK @09.27 am by jetblue from orlando with the baggage.....and we connecting to int'l flight @13.50pm by China airlines to TPE ... is my time enough to get the connecting flight or should i have to take earlier flight from orlando ??jnwposted on Sun, Nov 251 person likes this post [ Like ]You have plenty of time: JetBlue (code B6) uses both Terminals 4 & 5 adjacent to each other; while Chine Airline (code MU) uses Terminal 1. You need to find out from JetBlue if they will transfer your bags to the China Airline connecting flight - if not, you would have to claim your bags on arrival and take them with you on the Airtrain - connecting all terminals (follow signs) and check them in at China Airlines counter before proceeding through security and gates. If bags are being transferred, you may simply opt to exit your terminal and walk over to T1 or take the Airtrain, which serves the unsecured areas of the terminals.sunov12posted on Sun, Nov 251 person likes this post [ Like ]

long waiting hours in T4Nov 21, 201210I am arriving in T4 in jfk for emirates flight at 5: 30 am . I am waiting for my hubby to join with me and go together in the night 11pm flight. Is there any way to check in my bags in the morning and pass the security check.angiposted on Wed, Nov 21Assuming you arrive at JFK by Emirates Airways, you need to contact Emirates to find out if they transfer your bags to your connecting airline flight. On arrival at JFK you need to go through passport control, pick up your bags and go through customs clearance - if Emirates transfers bags - re-check them in where indicated - if not, take your bag to the departures level and re-check it in at your connecting airline's counter. (Thereafter you can take the Airtrain to the city. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/jfk and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, then move down to the detailed text.wenov12posted on Wed, Nov 21

Terminal 1 - Delta re-check availabilityNov 14, 201211II am flying back on AIr China and arriving in in T1. Is Delta available outside customs to re-check my bag for connecting flight?SSposted on Tue, Nov 13If Air China does not transfer your bags to the Delta connecting flight, you need, after going through customs clearance, take your bag along to the connecting terminal and check it in there with Delta. Note that Delta uses Terminals 2 (gates 19-29), T3 (gates 1-18) & T4 (gates A2-7 & B20-30). Take the Airtrain at T1 serving all terminals in the unsecured areas; at your connecting terminal you need to go through security check before continuing on to your gate.wenov12posted on Wed, Nov 141 person likes this post [ Like ]

ANA NH T7 to Air Canada AC T7Nov 12, 201220Arriving at 16:10 on ANA from Tokyo. Connecting to Air Canada to Toronto 17:20 Does this meet minimum connection time? Have Global Entry so cuts down on the immigration/customs time. Same terminal should help too right? Baggage drop off as per usual transfers?noobposted on Sat, Nov 10Luckily, both ANA & AC airlines use Terminal 7 - and Global Entry indeed cuts down on customs procedure; You should have no problem connecting in time (unless ANA is seriously late).sunov12posted on Sun, Nov 11

Terminal 1 to Terminal 2/3Nov 9, 201210I'm arriving at Terminal 1 on an international flight, and I have 2 hours before my Delta flight leaves Terminal 2/3. It is on a saturday afternoon. Do you think there is enough time to get through customs and baggage check and everything under 2 hours?avfc420posted on Fri, Nov 9After arrival at JFK count on 35-50 mins for passport control, pick up bags, go through customs clearance & re-check-in bags. Thereafter use the AirTain (follow signs) which runs on average every 7 mins between the terminals, taking only minutes. At Terminals 2/3 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. You have enough time.frnov12posted on Fri, Nov 9
