BAGGAGE DROP DURING TRANSFER FROM T8-T3Nov 13, 201210i need to transfer from Qatar Airways terminal 8 to terminal 3 for delta connection.after customs/immigration is there any way i can drop my baggage in terminal 8 itself for the delta connection ?TOMposted on Tue, Nov 13[ Reply ][ Like ]You need to find out from Qatar whether they will transfer your bags to Delta connection - if not, you would have to take your bag along on the Airtrain, connecting all terminals in their unsecured area, running on average every 8 mins - (there you would have to go to the Delta counter and re-check-in your bag)tunov12posted on Tue, Nov 13

ANA NH T7 to Air Canada AC T7Nov 12, 201220Arriving at 16:10 on ANA from Tokyo. Connecting to Air Canada to Toronto 17:20 Does this meet minimum connection time? Have Global Entry so cuts down on the immigration/customs time. Same terminal should help too right? Baggage drop off as per usual transfers?noobposted on Sat, Nov 10Luckily, both ANA & AC airlines use Terminal 7 - and Global Entry indeed cuts down on customs procedure; You should have no problem connecting in time (unless ANA is seriously late).sunov12posted on Sun, Nov 11

Terminal 1 to Terminal 2/3Nov 9, 201210I'm arriving at Terminal 1 on an international flight, and I have 2 hours before my Delta flight leaves Terminal 2/3. It is on a saturday afternoon. Do you think there is enough time to get through customs and baggage check and everything under 2 hours?avfc420posted on Fri, Nov 9After arrival at JFK count on 35-50 mins for passport control, pick up bags, go through customs clearance & re-check-in bags. Thereafter use the AirTain (follow signs) which runs on average every 7 mins between the terminals, taking only minutes. At Terminals 2/3 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. You have enough time.frnov12posted on Fri, Nov 9

Terminal 3 to Terminal 1Oct 31, 201211Is 1 hour connecting time enough to go from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1 ?JPposted on Wed, Oct 311 person likes this post [ Like ]Unless you are an international arrival at T3, you can easily make the transfer from T3 to T1 in an hour - take the AirTrain which runs between all terminals in the unsecured area of the terminals. Or exit T3 and walk to T1 - in either case you need to go through security check at T1 before proceeding to your gate. If you are an international arrival at JFK you would need to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance & re-check-in your bags where indicated - taking anywhere between 35 & 65 mins. IF YOUR FLIGHT IS WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS MAKE SURE AIR SERVICE IS AVAILABLE as New York airports only gradually get flights back to normal after Hurricane Sandy.weoct12posted on Wed, Oct 31

terminal 4 to terminal 3Oct 31, 201210I will arrive at Terminal 4 and connecting with delta air at terminal 3, but i must take may baggage first and check in again, where is baggage claim at terminal 4? , how procedure to do that and how take time is it? thank you***posted on Tue, Oct 30The Baggage Claim at all JFK terminals is on the ground level - on arrival, signs will guide you. Terminals 3 & 4 are next to each other - take your bag to T3 and check it in at the check-in counter; also make sure you have a boarding pass for your connecting flight. At T3, after checking in, you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. NOTE: If you are an international arrival at T4 you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bag & go through customs clearance first.weoct12posted on Wed, Oct 31

ROct 27, 201210Hello, Can anyone tell me how far it is from terminal 1 to terminal 2? I have only 1 hour 40 minutes between flights will I need a taxi to get from one terminal to the other? ThanksRuzannaposted on Fri, Oct 26All terminals at JFK are arranged in a semi-circle. Note: if you are an international arrival at T1, you need to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in bags (if first airline you use transfers to second airline's departure flight - otherwise you need to take your bags over to T2 and check them in with your connecting airline) - In either case, simply exit T1, walk over to T2 and go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate. For all these circumstances your time is sufficient.saoct12posted on Sat, Oct 27

Going from one terminal to anotherOct 26, 201210Hello, Can anyone tell me how far it is from terminal 7 to terminal 8? I have only 1 hour 45 minutes between flights will I need a taxi to get from one terminal to the other? ThanksMSposted on Thu, Oct 25All seven terminals at JFK are arranged in a semi-circle. You can easily exit T7 and enter T8, without using the Airtrain (which serves all terminals. In either case you need to go through security check at T8. Do make sure that your first airline transfers your checked bags to the connecting flight (if by another airline)- if not, you would have to pick up your bag and re-check it in at the airline counter at T8. Either way you have enough time.froct12posted on Fri, Oct 26

T8 to T4 TransferOct 24, 201210Hi, I am wondering how to transfer from T8 to T4? I am arriving @T8 at 8:40am and have to be at T4 for a flight at 11:40am, is this feasible? Also is there a way to know what Gate I am at before arriving, all I have is a E-Ticket ticket number, and flight #s etc..Tanya Barrposted on Tue, Oct 23Your boarding pass, which you can print out at your initial airport, will show gates (T4 has A & B gates). Each of the 7 terminals at JFK, is assigned to specific airlines. It is best to open www.ifly.com/jfk, then click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text. Note that the Airtrain connecting all terminals runs at post-security - you need to go through security check at T4. Two hours transfer time is plenty!weoct12posted on Wed, Oct 24

T 7 to T 8 transferOct 25, 201220Arriving at T 7 by Air Canada at 10.05 Pm and have go to T 8 to take Qatar at 11.30 Pm, how to get there and what to do mustrare flyerposted on Sat, Oct 20Your first priority is to find out from Air Canada if they will transfer your checked bags to your Qatar flight - if not, you would need to claim your bag and check it in at T8 with Qatar. Both terminals can be reached via Airtrain (running every 10 mins at pre-security area - follow signs) or you can walk over to T8. In both instances you will need to go through security check at T8. Your time should also suffice.suoct12posted on Sun, Oct 21

Connection timeOct 14, 201210Arriving at 09:59 on AC at term 7 then transferring to SAA at term4 dept at 11:15 am. will this be enough time to make the switch?Pax43posted on Sat, Oct 13If departing from a Canadian Airport without US customs clearance, you need, on arrival at JFK Airport, go through passport control, pick up bag, go through customs clearance, then re-check-in bag. If AA does not forward your bags to your connecting airline (check first),you would need to take your bags along and re-check them in at T4. The Airtrain connects all terminals in the pre-security areas, running on average every 8 mins. You should have enough time.suoct12posted on Sun, Oct 14
