You need to find out from Qatar whether they will transfer your bags to Delta connection - if not, you would have to take your bag along on the Airtrain, connecting all terminals in their unsecured area, running on average every 8 mins - (there you would have to go to the Delta counter and re-check-in your bag)

Luckily, both ANA & AC airlines use Terminal 7 - and Global Entry indeed cuts down on customs procedure; You should have no problem connecting in time (unless ANA is seriously late).

After arrival at JFK count on 35-50 mins for passport control, pick up bags, go through customs clearance & re-check-in bags. Thereafter use the AirTain (follow signs) which runs on average every 7 mins between the terminals, taking only minutes. At Terminals 2/3 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. You have enough time.

Unless you are an international arrival at T3, you can easily make the transfer from T3 to T1 in an hour - take the AirTrain which runs between all terminals in the unsecured area of the terminals. IF YOUR FLIGHT IS WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS MAKE SURE AIR SERVICE IS AVAILABLE as New York airports only gradually get flights back to normal after Hurricane Sandy.

The Baggage Claim at all JFK terminals is on the ground level - on arrival, signs will guide you. Terminals 3 & 4 are next to each other - take your bag to T3 and check it in at the check-in counter; also make sure you have a boarding pass for your connecting flight. At T3, after checking in, you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. NOTE: If you are an international arrival at T4 you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bag & go through customs clearance first.

where is the best meeting point between T7 & T8 ? my friend arrives at T8, me arrival at T7, i saw on the map there is a Macdonal at lobby after security, are there only 1 Mcdonald between , or 2 Mcdonalds at each terminals ? thanks

If departing from a Canadian Airport without US customs clearance, you need, on arrival at JFK Airport, go through passport control, pick up bag, go through customs clearance, then re-check-in bag. If AA does not forward your bags to your connecting airline (check first),you would need to take your bags along and re-check them in at T4. Yes you can meet your party in the Main Lobby of Terminal 5, which is in the pre-security area and has a Jamba Juice, Lucy's Asian Kitchen & Pommes Frites restaurants.
