I am traveling from Manchester, England on 30th sept arriving at jfk at 15:37, with virgin. I am then looking at booking a connecting flight to Las Vegas at 17:30, will this be enough connecting time? This will be with delta. Thank you

On two separate reservations no that is not enough time. On the same reservation that should be enough time.

Hi, in a few weeks we are flying into JFK from Heathrow with BA and then flying from JFK to Orlando with Delta. We have 3 hours 50 mins between flights, will this be enough time please? Thanks

That should be enough time. You will have to transfer your bags yourself from Terminal 7 where you arrive to Terminal 2 or 4 where you depart. The AirTrain connects all terminals outside security.

I am flying into JFK from Pittsburgh then from JFK to London Heathrow. Is a 50 minute layover sufficient, and will I need to reclaim my checked baggage in Kennedy?

I should have added that my incoming flight is on Virgin Atlantic, operated by Endeavor Air dba Delta Connection, and my outgoing flight is Virgin Atlantic.

There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in JFK is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You don't have to do anything with your baggage. You have enough time if your flight from Pittsburgh is on-time.

I'm flying from MBJ airport in Jamaica to JFK then on a connecting flight to BWI airport in Maryland all on Delta Airlines, what terminals would I have to go to at JFK? Do I have to go through US customs?

You will arrive in Terminal 4, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate, which will also be in Terminal 4.

Am arriving at JFK on Etihad at 4.30pm and will catch Delta flight to Portland Oregon at 8.30pm. I take it 4 hours is sufficient and will we need to change terminal

Yes, that should be enough time. You will just have to claim your bags from Etihad in Terminal 4, take them on the AirTrain to Terminal 2, re-check them with Delta, and go through security. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Abu Dhabi.

    Thanks

I'm flying from Portland to JFK and then from JFK to London next Thursday. All flights are on Delta and I have 1 hour 45 minutes between flights- is this enough time to make it to my next flight? Do you have to re-enter security for an international flight? Thanks!

Yes, that is plenty of time. No, you do not have to go through security in JFK on your way to London. If you arrive in Terminal 2 it is connected to Terminal 4 where you will depart by a shuttle bus inside security.

    Thank you so much!

I am flying from Pittsburgh to JFK on Saturday then flying to Bermuda. I'm flying Delta. My layover is 1 hr and 20 mins. Is that enough time? Second my flight home the layover is only 43 minutes. Is that possible?

Yes, it is possible, on your way to Bermuda you just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate both in Terminal 4. On the return you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Bermuda, so the procedure in JFK is the same, just walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hello, we are flying tomorrow am to JFK from Orlando and then fly out on Turkish Airlines. Do we have to get our bags and recheck them? and/or go through TSA again?

What airline are you flying to JFK? Are your tickets on one reservation or two separate reservations? I can't answer your question with the information you have provided.

Sorry, we are flying jet blue from orlando and turkish airlines to istanbul from JFK. We booked through expedia.

OK, in JFK you will arrive in Terminal 5, take the AirTrain to Terminal 1 and go through security. You don't have to do anything with your bags in JFK on you way out of the US.

Flying Aeroflot SU100 connecting in JFK to Toronto Delta 4068. What terminals Aeroflot arrives from Moscow and Delta leaves to Toronto, is 3.45 enough connection time? Is there customs/immigration to go through?

You will arrive in Terminal 1, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then take the AirTrain to Terminal 4, go through security and to your departure gate. If you are a Russian Citizen you will need a US Transit Visa. You should have enough time.

Flying Alitalia from Rome (FCO) to JFK and connecting to AA back to SFO. I will have 3hr 15min between flights. I will not have any checked bags. These are two itineraries. Do you think there will be plenty of time to get through customs, immigration, take the air train to the AA terminal and then catch the flight back to SFO? Thanks for your input!

That should be just enough time if your flight from Rome is on-time. Check in online for your flight to SFO before leaving Rome.

I am flying from Chicago to JFK, going in to terminal 2. I have a 57 minute layover. Is that enough time to make it to an international flight leaving from terminal 4?

Delta flights from Chicago to JFK arrive in Terminal 4. You have enough time if both flights are on Delta. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If for some reason you do arrive in T2, Delta has a shuttle bus that runs inside security to T4.

Hello, we're flying tomorrow night into JFK with JetBlue from Tampa, arriving at 11:40 PM. Our next international flight is with China airline at 1:35 AM. The flights are booked together. How much time would I need to get from one terminal to the next? How do I get there? Thanks in advance!

You have to take the AirTrain from Terminal 5 to Terminal 4 and go through security. You should have just enough time. Note that China Airlines and Air China are two separate airlines. China Airlines is the one that flies to Taipei.
