Hi, I am going to fly from Beijing to Savannah via JFK terminal 8, the second part is departing from terminal 5. I got about 2 hours and a half in between, do I have enough time to reclaim luggage, go through custom, go to another terminal and recheck again? (The first flight would land at 1:10 pm and the second would depart at 15:47.
Yes, that should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I am traveling from London to Las Vegas via JFK. The airlines is British airways for both the flights. The arrival (London to JFK) and departure (JFK to Las Vegas) are terminal (T-8) and have 3 hours between connection. My question is , do i need to check in my baggage at JFK again (pick my baggage at JFK and go through customs and check in my baggage again) or it will be direct checkin to Las Vegas?
Both flights will be on American if they're both in T8. Yes, in JFK you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk and go through security.
Hello all, I will fly from Dublin to Boston with Delta via JFK. I have 1 hour 4 mins from landing at JFK to the next plane taking off for Boston. I will have one piece of hold luggage. Is this enough time? Thanks for any help
Yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you depart from Terminal 2, Delta runs a shuttle there inside security.
I am flying on Delta to JFK with a connection to London on Virgin. I only have 1 1/2 hours to connect. Do I change terminals and what are my chances of making it???? Don't feel good about this!
You will arrive in Terminal 2 or 4 and depart from Terminal 4. If you arrive in 2, Delta runs a shuttle inside security to Terminal 4. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time and both flights are on the same reservation.
Hi, My flight will arrive from Malaga to JFK at 16.55 (Air France - operated by Delta) and from JFK I need to go to Miami the same day. As my international flight is operated by Delta, is there any way if I book my second flight by Delta also they will take my luggage and I do not have to check in with it again at JFK? Could you please also recommend a time frame between the 2 flights? I guess the domestic flight won't depart from the same Terminal as International. Many thanks in advance,
You will have to claim your bags at JFK to take them through US Customs regardless. If the second flight is on Delta 2.5 hours is sufficient. If it's on another airline you need more like 3 hours.
My egyptair flight arrives in terminal 5 at 3:15PM and my connecting JetBlue flight to San Jose California departs at 6:30PM from terminal 4. Do I need to go through customs and collect my bags and then go to terminal 4 to check in and go through security? Will I have enough time?
You have the terminals reversed. Yes, you have to do all of that. You should have enough time.
Hi I'm arriving from Buffalo NY into T2 on a Delta domestic flight and need to transfer to AA T8 for a second domestic flight. If on time I have 2.5 hrs between flights. What's the best way to transfer between T2 and T8 and do I have enough time? Thanks guys.
The only way to get between Terminals is the AirTrain. It runs outside security so you will have to go through security again in T8.
