Hello. I have two flights scheduled with delta on separate tickets. One from CVG to JFK that arrives at 5:21 PM at terminal 2. The second flight leaves for LHR out of terminal 4 at 8PM. Is there enough time? And will Delta check bags through on separate tickets? Thanks.
If you show your London confirmation to the agent in CVG they should check your bags through to London. The Flight from CVG will probably arrive in Terminal 4. You should have plenty of time.
Hi , I am arriving to JFK terminal 4 with VA at 8:15 pm and departure to Buffalo with Jet blue airline at 10;55. What i should do regarding on luggage and also is enough time to do all connection in terminal? please ..thank you ..
You will have to claim your bags with the first airline, take them on the AirTrain to Terminal 5 and re-check them with JetBlue. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I am an Australian citizen coming from Hong Kong(Via Cathay pacific) which lands at 7:00am, then I have a connecting flight to Boston(Via jetBlue) at 9:52am, will I have enough time to go through immigration, customs and recheck my luggage again?
Yes, that should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Dears,
Will land at JFK from Miami at 15:10 with Delta and checked bags . And have internationnal flight to Brussel at 18:00 (Brussel Airlines) - separate tickets. Would that be enough time to re-check + security?
Cheers, BR
that's just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I forgot, non US citizen (French), txs
Your citizenship doesn't matter for this process. There is no US immigration or customs when leaving the US.
HELLO,
Is generally a 3-hour connection time considered enough for international-international connection in terminal 4?
Separate bookings, non-US passport.
Many thanks
That's about the minimum I recommend for such a connection.
I have 2 and a half hours to catch a flight to South Africa from Orlando at Kennedy New York, would that be enough time?
Hi, I am flying SAA from Joburg to JFK, landing 6 40 am (terminal 4) and connecting at 9 05 am to Denver on Delta, will is be enough time?
That is barely enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Thanks!
Hello,

I have a query on terminal transfers within JFK. I will be on international travel from U.S to India where I have 2 transfers. First transfer seems to be to JFK Terminal 5 ARR and I need to catch AUH in Terminal 4 DEP. Is the transfer going to be walkable or do I need to take train/ bus to travel within Terminal 5 to Terminal 4?
You need to take the AirTrain from T5 to T4. It doesn't take very long but you will have to go through security again in T4.
Thanks! I have 3 hours of time to catch AUH. Will that be enough covering security check?
Yes, that should be plenty of time.
hi, i'm flying from South Africa, arriving in JFK (terminal 4) at 6:40. i then connect to Cancun on Delta (also Terminal 4) at 08:55. is this enough time?
If both flights are on the same reservation it's enough time. If it's two separate reservations it will be a bit difficult but not impossible.
I am flying Etihad from Abu Dhabi direct to New York, JKF. I need to then take a domestic flight to Miami. Is the domestic terminal easily accessible on foot? How much time should I budget for this transition? For the domestic, I will be flying either AA or Delta. Thanks!
JFK does not have a single "domestic terminal". AA flights depart from terminal 8 and Delta flights from 4 and 2. Since you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Abu Dhabi, this connection can be done in about 2 hours.
Thanks!!
Hi,
I arrive in Terminal 4 from Cancun (Delta Flight) and connect to Zurich (Swiss Flight) again in Terminal 4. Separate reservations with checked luggage.
Are 2.5 hours enough time?
Many thanks
Sorry for the double post. I forgot to mention that I am a European passport holder.
That is barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. You will have to transfer your bags yourself to Swiss.
