Arriving at 09:59 on AC at term 7 then transferring to SAA at term4 dept at 11:15 am. will this be enough time to make the switch?

If departing from a Canadian Airport without US customs clearance, you need, on arrival at JFK Airport, go through passport control, pick up bag, go through customs clearance, then re-check-in bag. If AA does not forward your bags to your connecting airline (check first),you would need to take your bags along and re-check them in at T4. The Airtrain connects all terminals in the pre-security areas, running on average every 8 mins. You should have enough time.

I am flying in on Delta into Terminal 3 at JFK and meeting a party who is flying in on Jet Blue into T5. Can II meet them at a restaurant in T5?

Yes you can meet your party in the Main Lobby of Terminal 5, which is in the pre-security area and has a Jamba Juice, Lucy's Asian Kitchen & Pommes Frites restaurants.

I arrive to jfk on united and need to connect to jet blue., how to i get to the jet blue terminal?

On arrival at JFK at Terminal 7 you can either exit the terminal and walk over to Terminal 5, or take the Airtrain (follow signs). In both instances you will have to go through security check at T5 before proceeding to your connecting gate. Make sure that United transfers your checked bags to Jet Blue flight - if not, you need to claim your bags at T7 and re-check them in at T5.

I may take Jetblue from Richmond to JFK, arrival time around 10:17am, then take Delta flight to Japan which departure time is 12:45pm. Is it enough time for me to take the flight from JFK on time? How long it takes from T5 to T3?

As JetBlue does not currently offer nonstop RIC-JFK service, are you connecting via Boston?

International arrivals will be directed to the Passport control area, then will need to pick up their bags and go through customs clearance - all this is clearly marked with international signs, and they will simply follow the flow of passengers, ALL international arrivals need to go through the same procedure. You can meet them in the post-security arrivals hall - best near the information counter.

    Yes, connection via Boston.

we are flying delta from rochester ny and have a connecting delta flight to London and have a 45 minute time layover is this time enough to get to t4 from t2

On arrival at JFK, Terminal 4, take the Airtrain to Terminal 2 - you will have to go through security check at T2 before proceeding to your gate. The Airtrain runs on average every 8 mins, making its round between all 7 terminals. Airtrain signs are clearly marked. No time to waste!

MY ITIN SAYS TERM 1, MY BOARDING PASS SAYS TERM 3, ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHICH IS WHICH?

Delta does not use Terminal 1 (it does use domestic terminals 2 & 3 & International); Your boarding pass is relevant: Terminal 3 has gates 1-18.

I will be arriving from Florida on Jetblue (terminal 5) at JFK airport at 12pm. My guest is arriving from Turkey (terminal 1) at 5:30pm. Am I able to get my bags and wait for him at terminal 1?

On arrival at Terminal 5 of JFK Airport, claim your bag and take the AirTrain to Terminal 1 arriving at pre-security area - ask any airport employee or go to the information counter to find out where to temporarily store your bag. You can eat or shop on the departures level, eat or shop, and meet your friend in the Arrivals hall near the information counter.

My friend is flying is flying to India his schdukle is cmh- JFK(Terminal 8) then jfk(terminal 7 ) to india.. he has a gap of 4 hours in between..is it possible for me to meet him in terminal 7 ...and do i need to get anythign for that?/...Please help

You can only meet in the unsecured area of either terminal (before security check). Best place to meet up is near the information counter in the Arrivals /baggage claim area. Your friend needs to know whether his arriving airline will transfer his bags to the departing airline - if not, he needs to re-check-in his bags at T7 (and make sure he has a boarding pass for T7 departure).

I will be flying in from Buffalo via Jetblue and will get on another flight via TAM 6 hours later. Will I be able to check in right away? Also, once I get my luggage in the same terminal, will I need to go through security again i the same terminal?

Assuming JetBlue does not transfer your bags to TAM (check first), you should get your bags on arrival and check them in with TAM, also make sure you have your boarding pass. Jet Blue uses both Terminals 4 & 5 - TAM is in Terminal 4 - you can walk over or use the AirTrain, in both instances you will have to go through security at T4, if not arriving at T4, which has Concourse A gates A2-7, and Concourse B gates B20-30..

  • International - Domestic Change Time

Hi all-- I'll be arriving on a CX flight from HK (T7) with no bags and need to get myself very quickly to a Delta flight to Boston. What is the shortest amount of time this can be done? How bad are the domestic security lines at the Delta terminal?

As an international arrival at JFK you need to go through passport check (then most likely need to have your carry-on bag examined by Customs) before you can proceed via Airtrain (serving pre-security areas of all terminals) to either domestic terminals 2 or 3 (both served by Delta - watch the overhead screen for your connecting terminal/ gate. The Airtrain runs 24/7 - between midnight and 4am every 15 mins; between 4-7:30am every 7 mins; between 7:30am-3pm every 10 mins; between 3pm-8pm every 7 mins; between 8pm & midnight every 15 mins. T2 has gates 19-29; T3 gates 1-18.

Is there a USO at JFK? If so, what terminal?

Have checked - could not find anything - which is really strange, as all other larger US Airports do have a USO. However, I suggest yu call JFK at (718) 244 2444. Also a good place to find related info: US Military personnel: TSA has a very helpful site as to checkpoints, checked bags, firearms transport, disabilityies, and more: Open http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/assistant/editorial_1880.shtm
