We're flying Delta 206 from SNN to JFK on 9/27 and then DL43 to ATL. DL2016 arrives around 1:55 AND DL43leaves at 3:20. Both at T4. Is that enough time to clear ustoms and recheck bags?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Shannon. All you have to do in JFK is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.

Hi! On the 4th of november I will arrive with two friends at 20:05 at JFK Airport in Terminal 5. We will be flying with Aer Lingus. After that we want to catch a plane from Bluejet which flies to Tampa and leaves JFK airport at 21:55, also from Terminal 5. We all need to get our baggage from the first plane and the tickets are not on one reservation. Do you think there's enough time for us to make it?

We are not U.S. citizens by the way, and we will travel from Amsterdam to JFK Airport. So we first take an international flight

It's named JetBlue. I think that's just about enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin.

I have 1h 4m between my flight from RDU toad flight to Helsinki.Do I have enough time for transfer from terminal 2 to terminal 8?

On two separate reservations? No I don't think that's enough time. What airline are you flying to JFK?

How much time does it take to go through immigration if coming from overseas flight on Saturday afternoon? And how much time should we allow for to transfer and take the next flight? Is 2.5 hours enough time? Or should we allow more time?

If you're purchasing two separate reservations I'd want at least 3 hours between flights.

I'm not from the US. I arrive to Terminal 4 at 12:22 from Madrid flying by KLM. I fly out of terminal 1 to Mexico DF at 14:55. Will I need to go to the security and pick up my baggage again? The flights are from the same reservation.

The company for the second flight is Aeromexico

The first flight is operated by Delta

Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re check desk, take the AirTrain to Terminal 1 and go through security. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

I arrive at jfk terminal 8 from Charlotte at 5.59pm and fly out of T8 to Birmingham UK at 6.55pm. As the transfer time is so short, will I need to go through security if I am arriving and departing from the same terminal? I worry that I may not have enough time to catch my international flight.

You will not have to go through security. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.

I've got a flight into JFK from Berlin on Monday @ 4pm. My Jetblue flight to IAD leaves @ 1:23pm. I will only have a carry-on. Can I make it if I check-in online for my Jetblue flight before boarding the AirBerlin flight to JFK?

Sorry meant to say that the flight to IAD departs at 4:23pm

    5:23 grrr

It's still very unlikely that you can make that, even without checked bags.

Hi, I book from Fort Lauderdale to Abu Dhabi on Etihad airways with flight connection on JFK, The domestic flight will be on Jetblue, do I have to claim my bags and recheck for final destination? Thanks

If both flights are on the same reservation then you don't have to do anything with your bags in JFK. All you have to do is change terminals on the AirTrain and go through security.

I will be flying Delta Airlines from Amsterdam to JFK arriving at 12:56 with a DL connecting domestic flight at 14:55. This gives me just 2 hours to clear immigration. Is this sufficient time and do I need to collect my baggage although my connecting flight is also with the same reservation and airline? Thank you

That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.

I'll be arriving with multiple checked bags on an American international flight, from Edinburg at 12:50 PM, and would then look to connect to a Delta domestic flight at 4PM. How do-able is this?

That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

I wil be arriving on EgyprAir T4 tomorrow at 3:00 pm with two luggaes. I have a connection Jet Blue T5. How and where can I transfer/recheck my baggages

If you have to separate reservations you have to take your bags to the check in counter in T5. If you have one reservation you can re-check your bags at the re-check desk in T4.

Hi , how do I transfer from terminal 5, from domestic flight wit Jet Blue ( with checked in baggage ) to terminal 4, for international flight with Delta airlines? Thanks

You have to claim your bags in T5, then take the AirTrain to T4, then re-check your bags with Delta, and go through security.

I am arriving into JFK T4 at 1140 with Virgin Atlantic from LHR and will be departing with Delta onto MCO at 1340. I was sold this flights by virgin as one ticket but personally I don't believe it is long enough as I have to clear customs and collect my luggage along with my partner before making the journey to T2 to check in for the Delta flight. Is there anywhere in T4 to check in for delta flights (a connection desk in arrivals as such) or will I have to hot foot it to T2. I have raised the question to Virgin to see if they can move me onto the later MCO flight which Deps around 1530 but they declined to help - I thought it would benifet both parties in the event i had to be rebooked at the airport. Any help/suggestions would be great. I already know of a shuttle in T4 deps to T2 but i have checked in luggage which i wouldnt get through security at T4.

Yes, you should be able to re-check your bags at the re-check desk in T4 after clearing customs. There is also a regular Delta check-in counter in T4. You can go through security in T4.

If I arrive at JFK from Atlanta at 12:45pm, have to collect and recheck bags and catch an international flight to Germany at 14:05, should that be enough time?

1245 to 14:05 is only 1 hr 20 minutes, not 3 hrs 20 minutes. 1 hr 20 minutes is not enough time. 3 hr 20 minutes is.

Thank you. I meant 16:05, aka 4:05pm. Trying to get used to using 24hr time since I'm going to Europe, but I guess my dumb American is still showing.

Hi, I'm arriving to JFK on early October at 5:15am and have a connection flight to Cancun (T1) at 6:55am. I'm not a US citizen. Any chance I can make it? (In expertflyer it seems marginal - they say 2 hours for I-2-I connection) The TSA lines based on their data should be short at this time. Comments?

That would be pretty much impossible with checked bags. Without checked bags you might have a chance.
