Hi,
My flight AGP-JFK arrives 4:50 PM
Connecting flight JFK-MSP departs at 6:20PM
I had to but tickets separately, although they are both Delta they say they won't guarantee a connection if I miss my flight (separate confirmation numbers).
I checked flight history, looks like flight arrives normally at Gate C61 and MSP flight leaves from gates around B30.
Dumb question but I don't know if those gates are different concourses in the same terminal or separate terminals...?
I'll just have a carry-on so no waiting for baggage in JFK.
Is 90 mins enough time?

Thanks-
They are in different terminals. 90 minutes is just enough time if everything goes perfectly.
Thanks for the quick reply. Getting from T2 to T4 - it looks like you have to go back thru security? On the Delta Map it shows a security checkpoint after taking shuttle to B18. I see lots of forums but people contradicting each other- some say the Delta air shuttle operates airside and you don't have to go thru TSA but others say after intl arrival you always have to go back thru. Last time I connected in JFK, after customs I ended up landside and had to go thru TSA, any way avoiding going back thru security after intl arrival?

The shuttle bus operates airside. The AirTrain operates landside. You will have to go through security regardless after you clear US Customs because once you do, you will be outside security.
HI there - I have a flight out of BOS at 5:05 putting me in JFK at 6:33 then departing from JFK to Barcelona at 8:05 all through Delta Airlines - it looks like I arrive and depart from terminal 4 - will this be enough time for me to make the connection?
Yes, that should be enough time. All you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Do you have a question?
I want to know if the layover at JFK is enough time. Thank you
Yes, that is plenty of time.
Hello ZAP and Co.,

We would arrive at Terminal 4 from Amsterdam with KLM at 13:17.
Our flight to Nassau with Jetblue would depart at 16:30.

Entering the States (as non U.S. citizens), picking up the luggage, trasnfering to Terminal 5 (in or out, the faster the better) checking in on the Jetblue flight - how can we manage it? Is it possible?

Thanks in advance.

Best,
j.e.d.

That should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Thank you, ZAP.
What do you recommend for the terminal change, walking, train, anything else?
Arriving on Hawaiian Air flight and then transferring to a Delta commuter flight-arriving terminal 5 and departing terminal 4-how do I get from terminal 5 to 4?
All terminals are connected outside security by the AirTrain.
I want to buy a Miami-Barcelona Delta ticket and it has a 1h 26m layover in JFK is that time enough to catch the JFK-BCN flight? Thanks
What airlines?
I mentioned it, you probably missed it: Delta all the way. Thanks
Yes, that is enough time. all you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. if you arrive in Terminal 2, it is connected to Terminal 4 where you depart inside security by a shuttle bus.
Thanks! You rock!
Hi there,

We have the option of flying Dublin - Heathrow - JFK - Lima with a 2h 35m layover in Heathrow and a 3h 25m layover in JFK. We land in JFK at 8pm.

Do you think that the time in JFK would be enough to get through immigration & customs etc. We can avail of the ESTA system so I believe that speeds things up however we unfortunately can't do pre-clearance in Ireland because we're flying via Heathrow.

We're flying American Airlines the whole way too but not sure if we need to collect the luggage at JFK and run through Customs again or not. I'm hoping this is an IFI itinerary.

Our alternative option is Dublin - Philadelphia - Miama - Lima but that option has a 7 hour layover in Miami so the first option is preferable.

Your advice would be most appreciated.
Yes, that should be enough time. In JFK you will have to claim your bags to go through customs, then re-check them at the re-check desk.
Greetings. Arriving at JFK terminal 5 on jet blue at 0830 leaving for Guangzhou on China Air from terminal 4 at 1115. I'll have to collect and re-check bags. Do I have sufficient time? Will I have to go through tsa security after collecting bags? Thank you!
That is very difficult. you will have to go through security again in Terminal 4 after you re-check your bags with Air China (there is no "China Air").
My apologies, i should get my airlines straight before asking for advice. My carrier is China Southern but I don't think that changes your response? Thanks again!
Correct, that doesn't change the response.
I am traveling from RDU to JFK on one Delta ticket and then traveling from JFK to FCO on separate Delta ticket. Carry on only. Will I need to go thur security in JFK. Not sure which terminal. I have long layover so not concerned with time. Thank you for your help.
You will not have to go through security in JFK. You will arrive in Terminal 2 or 4 and depart from Terminal 4. 2 and 4 are connected inside security by a train. Make sure to try to check in online for your Rome flight before leaving Raleigh.
