Considering a direct flight Tucson to JFK that would arrive at 4:00 pm (terminal 4?) to an EgyptAir flight to Cairo that departs Terminal 8 at 6:30. Not on one ticket. Is this impossible?
AA flights arrive in Terminal 8, not Terminal 4. Egyptair flights depart from Terminal 4, not 8. You will have to claim your bags from AA, take them on the AirTrain to Terminal 4, re-check them with Egyptair and go through security. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Arriving 1.30 PM form Milan (terminal 2) and departing 3.25 from Terminal 2.
Guess I have to go through immigration, custom and security again. Seems pretty tight.
I wander if it's faster to go through security at terminal 2 than jitney to terminal 4 or airtrain to terminal 4 and go through security there.
Thanks
I am flying to Charleston from LHR next month and have to change planes at JFK. First flight is with Virgin from LHR to JFK. Connecting flight is with Delta (Virgin's partner airline). I have 2 hours turnaround time at JFK and ticket was sold as one ticket. Is this do- able?
No flights from Milan arrive in Terminal 2. If you are on Alitalia you will arrive in Terminal 1 and if you are on Delta you will arrive in Terminal 4.
Susie, your connection is doable.
Sorry. I arrive in terminal 4 and than fly to Miami from terminal 2. All the rest is correct
***, then yes, you will arrive in Terminal 4, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re check desk, then either take the AirTrain to T2 and go through security or go through security in T4 and take the shuttle bus to T2. You should have enough time.
I'm flying from Zurich on Dec 31, arriving in JFK at 13:25 on American and connecting on American at 2:54 for Raleigh, NC. Will this be enough time? Do I have to get my bags and recheck them? Thank you
Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security. You have just enough time if everything goes perfectly.
my son arrives from montreal on delta airline at 6.40 pm( at terminal 4). He then has a flight on Cathay pacific from terminal 7 at 12.45 am ( so has around 6 hours). We are hoping that time is enough. How does he travel from terminal 4 to terminal 7? thanks
The airtrain connects all terminals outside security. He has plenty of time. He will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal, so all he has to do in JFK is claim his bags from Delta, take them on the AirTrain to T7, and check them with Cathay once the check-in desk opens and go through security.
I am flying from PBI Florida internally with delta to JFK my flight arrives in at 15:10 and I then have to take a flight with virgin at 18:30 to LHR I assume as I have come through internally I don't need to go through immigration- will I have enough time to connect and is there any way I can check bags straight through.
If both flights are on the same reservation you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, nothing with your bags. Yes, there is no US Immigration when leaving the US. If you arrive in Terminal 2, Delta runs a shuttle inside security to Terminal 4 where you depart.
Departing Heathrow and arriving to JFK @ 17.45 then connecting to MCO @ 20.55 - will our checked luggage be movved for us and is this enough time?
Both with Delta by the way!
You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You should have plenty of time.
my daughter is flying tomorrow Dec 20 from Madrid to Santo Domingo vía JFK on flights from Delta. Arriving at JFK at 1;20 pm and connecting with a flight in the same terminal that departe at 3:10 pm. will she have enought time to make the connection? Will she need to go thrpugh immigration, claim bags and recheck them?
That is just enough time. Yes, she will have to go through US Immigration, claim her bags, go through US Customs, re-check her bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to her departure gate.
how get to la guardia im traveling to montreal
It depends how much time you have. if you have more than 3 hours you can wait for a shared shuttle bus. If you have less than 3 hours I recommend a taxi. It will cost about $30.
Hi, My brother is arriving today from London via American airline, landing at 13.25 and has an other flight at 14.55 for final destination Montreal, Canada. Does he have to clear customs in JFK and recheck his luggage and if so does he have enough time ?? »Thank you
Yes, in JFK he has to go through US Immigration, claim his bags, go through US Customs, re-check his bags at the re-check desk, and go through security. That is a very difficult connection. I hope he made it.
Hi guys, I will be arriving from Casablanca at JFK's Terminal 1 with Royal Air Maroc and will be departing at Terminal 5 to Portland with Jetblue. I will only have 2h35 layover, is it enough? Also do I need to grab my luggage and drop it in T1 or take it with me to T5? Thanks so much
You will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs. If it's two separate reservations you will have to take your bags with you to T5 to re-check. If it's one reservation then you can re-check your bags in T1. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
i't's one reservation, the 2 companies are interlined I believe, I'll just drop the bags in T1 and head to T5 to catch my flight. Thank you ZAP
Dear all, can you answer please, do i need any transit visa if i change terminal? i'm flying from canada to europe visa JFK aiport. i need to change from terminal 4 to terminal 1
Passo, what country are you a citizen of? If you are a citizen of a country that requires a visa to visit the US, then you need a visa to transit the US, whether you have to change terminals or not.
