  • pick up someone

Hi, next 13th of february I´ll arrive to 8 terminal from the Dominican Republic, And my parents will arrive at the same time from spain to Terminal 7. Wich is the fastest method to pick them up at terminal 7?

Note that international arrivals at JFK need to go through passport check, pick up bags, & go through customs clearance first. With your bag in tow, follow the Airline Train sign and board the train to the next stop, which is Terminal 7. On arrival there, go go the Arrivals level and meet them near the information counter there.

    Thank you for helping me.

  • Need to go from T3 to T1, Baggage claim

My wife missed flight today due to some security check delay. She got tickets for tommorow and baggage is hold at JFK Delta baggage. Can someboy help on how to claim the luggage tomorrow at T3 from Delta and go to T1- departure to Paris to India.Kindly suggest best way to reach the boarding area after all process in T3

Delta Terminal 3 separates international & domestic arrivals on the Arrivals level - she should claim her bag in the domestic part of the Arrivals level, at the Delta baggage office there. Then, with bag in tow, follow the Airline Terminal Train sign and board that train, which makes stops between all terminals, but in the unsecured areas. At T1 she needs to go through security check before proceeding to her departing gate. However, if her flight to Paris is also by Delta, she should show her ticket to the Delta attendant at T3 & request bag transfer to T1. It is important that her checked bags will have all airport codes on their tags. Furthermore find out if the arriving airline (Delta?) will transfer bags to the connecting airline from Paris to India - if not, she will have to claim bag & check it in with that airline.

Is an hour enough time to change terminals, security.?/?/? AA to Delta prob 8-2

At JFK, All terminals are served by the 'Airline Terminals Train' (marked on JFK's maps in yellow, and starting at T1 to T8, T7, T5, T4 & T2/3 and taking minutes between terminals. As the train only stops in the pre-security areas, you need to go through security check prior to moving on to your connecting gate. Delta uses both T2 & T3; American uses T8. You have enough time for transfer.

IHow long to get to terminal 3 Gate 6 from Terminal 2 gate 21

On arrival at JFK, Terminal 3, take the Airline Train, making its continuous run between terminals in the unsecured areas, and taking minutes for each stop. You need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate.

How long does it take to get from Terminal 4 to Terminal 3? I have 1.5 hr layover between flights and am going to Ireland from San Francisco. Do I have to go through customs?

Are you sure you arrive at T4 - which is the International Terminal - or did you reverse your terminals. On arrival at JFK, look for the Airline Terminals Train sign and board the train to the next stop - Terminal 3. The train runs in a continuous loop between all terminals and takes minutes, but serves only the unsecured (pre-security-check) areas. You need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate. NOTE: T4 has Concourses A & B with corresponding gates A2-A7 and B20-B30.

I need to meet my brother at Terminal 7. He is flying in on Nippon so will be going through customs. Which coffee shop or restaurant is outside security where I can sit down to wait for him Terminal 7?

At JFK, Terminal 7, there is a Starbucks on the lower level Arrivals Area.

My wife be arriving at Terminal 4 and need to catch Delta flight at Terminal 3. She do have bags to re-checkin. Do delta has re-checking counter at T4? or does she need to take the baggage alongwith her to T3 and re-checkin? Do air train let the baggage carts? Trully appreciate any advice.

Your wife need to re-check-in her bags with Delta only if the first (incoming) airline does not transfer to connecting Delta flight. Also, if she is an international arrival, she will need to go through passport control, pick up her bags, go through customs clearance and (if bags are being transferred) re-check-in her bag where indicated. If her arriving airline at JFK does not transfer bags, she needs to take her bag onto the Airline Train which serves all terminals outside of security - meaning she will have to go (to Delta counter and check in her bag (if not transferred) and through security check before proceeding to her gate at Terminal 3.

Thanks a lot, appreciate your reply.

  • Meeting place at terminal 3

Im am flying in from Toronto with Air Canada arriving at terminal 7 and need to meet my brother at terminal 3 (as he is flying in from LA with delta and arriving terminal 3) CAn anyone recommend where a good meeting place is in terminal 3???

At Toronto, make use of the U.S. Customs clearance, saving you time at JFK. The Airline Train makes a continuous round between all terminals, but in the unsecured area. Simply follow signs. Best place to meet: near the information counter at the arrivals / baggage claim level.

In terminal 3 are there any resteraunts before security check in

At JFK, in Terminal 3, the Food Court has a few fast-food restaurants - not sure if they are in the unsecured area.

  • AA connecting flights

I am traveling with a group of students from Los Angeles to JFK. We get in at 6:05pm and have a flight from JFK to London at 7:10pm. Both flights are on American Airlines. My question is does this hour layover give us enough time to make our connecting flight? Also, do all American Airlines flights (domestic and International) arrive and depart from the same terminal? Any information would be helpful. Thanks

At JFK Terminal 8 serves mostly American Airlines; it has Concouse B, gates 1 through 16 and Concourse C, gates 31-47. Your boarding pass & overhead screens in the terminal will indicate connecting gate. You have plenty of time.

arriving on AA from San Juan. How much time do I need for customs on a Fri. evening before I can book an AA flite to Boston?

  • Terminal 2 to Terminal 4

My daughter is flying into terminal 2 (Delta) then flying out of Terminal 4 (Tam Airline) to Brazil. How do you get from Terminal 2 to Terminal 4.

On arrival at JFK, at T2 - follow signs to the Airline Train connecting all terminals every 8 mins on average. The train serves the unsecured areas - therefore, on arrival at T4 she needs to go through security check before proceeding to her connecting gate.

She needs to find out from Delta if they transfer her bags to TAM - if not, she need on arrival at T2 go down to the baggage claim and take her bag along to T4, checking it in there with TAM. On arrival at JFK, at T2 - follow signs to the Airline Train connecting all terminals every 8 mins on average. The train serves the unsecured areas - therefore, on arrival at T4 she needs to go through security check before proceeding to her connecting gate.

My daughter will arrive Jetblue Terminal 5 and depart international Terminal 1. If he bags are checked through or will be transferred, can she go from 5 to 1 without leaving secure area? Or will she need to exit Terminal 5, (possible collect bag), take AirTrain to Terminal 1, check in and go through security? If so, where do we find information about how/where to do this?

JFK finally renamed the train serving only the terminals as 'Airline Terminals Train' (marked on JFK's maps in yellow, and running from T1 to T8, T7, T5, T4 & T2/3) - (at each such stop you can connect to the Airtrain). She needs to find out if JetBlue will transfer bags to connecting airline (if different) - if not she needs on arrival at JFK go down to the baggage claim, get her bag and take it to T1, and check it in there. Either way, she should follow the airline train sign and board the train which runs every 8 mins on average, but runs in the unsecured areas of the terminals. At T1 she needs to go through security check before proceeding ot her gate.

Delta to JFK at 5.30pm to international flight at 7.05pm to Moscow. Do you still need claim baguage and go again true custom. Is 1 hour enough time to get thru to make fly. Help. Thanks

You need to find out from Delta if they transfer your bags at JFK to your connecting Aeroflot flight - if not, you need on arrival at JFK go down to the baggage claim and pick up your bag, then take it along on the 'Airline Terminals Train' serving all terminals. Note that Delta uses Terminals 2, 3 & 4 Aeroflot uses Terminal 1. At Terminal 1 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. You have enough time.

    thank you
