Hi. I will be arriving tomorrow at 14.40 terminal 5 with Aer Lingus - I will have pre-clearance. have booked a delta flight leaving from terminal 2 - gate C68 leaving at 3.30pm - hope to check bags thru all the way - what is the quickest way from terminal 5 to terminal 2 and will I make it in 50 minutes?
Aer Lingus won't check your bags through to Delta, so you won't make it.
Travelling to Abu Dabai from Boston thru JFK on the same reservation thru Eithad: - Do I need to recheck bags from BOS before taking off to Abu Dabai? - Do I need to go back to the Etihad desk to get my tickets outgoing from JFK or will I be able to get tickets for all my legs at the AA desk in Boston?
On my way back, similar questions: - When returning from Abu Dabai, will I need to recheck my bags to get from JFK to BOS?
You won't need to re-check your bags in JFK. They should be able to issue both boarding passes in Boston. On the way back you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Abu Dhabi, so you again won't have to do anything with your bags in JFK.
Hi - we arrive Mar 17 9am on Delta Terminal 4. Flight to London on AA departs 1120am Terminal 8. Is that enough time to catch the London flight? Will I have to claim my luggage at Term 4 and recheck it at Terminal 8? Thanks!
Yes, you will have to claim your luggage from Delta in Terminal 4 and take it with you to AA in Terminal 8 and re-check it then go through security. That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
My daughter is arriving @JFK in May from Madrid with only 90 min. between flights to get to Indianapolis. It is all one ticket on American (British airways out of Madrid, operated by American) She will have a checked bag. Can this work? There aren't a lot of options to get to Indy...
That is just enough time if the flight from Madrid is on-time. Both flights will be in Terminal 8. She will go through US Immigration, claim her bags, go through US Customs, re-check her bags at the re-check desk and go through security and to her departure gate.
I'm flying in domestic to JFK on Delta term 4 and only have 1 hour 35 min layover to make it to KLM term 1 flight to Rome. We can either check bags or not. Same booking, just not the same airline. I'm starting to worry we won't make it and the flights keep getting slightly adjusted to either more or less time. Not flying until Sept 2017....
Your flight to Rome will be operated by Alitalia, not KLM. You will have to take the AirTrain to Terminal 1 and go through security. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
thanks for your help! I'm hoping everything goes smoothly :-)
