I amarriving at Terminal 5 and then depart at Terminal 4 for international flight. I have about 1 hour and 45 minutes layover. Do I have time for my connecting flight? Also do I have to go through security check again?
Yes, you will have to go through security again. What airline are you flying out of Terminal 4? I assume your Jetblue flight is domestic? Are your tickets all on the same reservation or two separate reservations?
The international flight is through Asiana. And the tickets are on same reservation.
Then you have enough time. You just take the AirTrain to Terminal 4 and go through security.
I am arriving on Delta at 1034a and connecting to Turkish airlines 1225 pm? will I have enough time?
You have your terminals reversed. Delta will arrive in Terminal 2 or 4. Is your Delta flight international or domestic? Do you have checked bags? Are your flights on one reservation or two separate reservations?
My delta flight is domestic from atlanta and I am priority on delta. I will have checked luggage.
I have 2 separate reservations.
You have barely enough time if everything goes smoothly. You will have to transfer your bags yourself from your arrival terminal to Terminal 1 and re-check your bags with Turkish then go through security.
I'm arriving at JFK Terminal 8 on December 11th at 6:40 on a Latam flight, then I've 2:35 hs and a flight with JAL (codeshare with Latam; only 1 ticket) departuring from Terminal 1 at 9:35. 1) Is that enough time?; 2) Is the AirTrain the best option to connect both terminals?; 3) I know I have to claim my luggage at Terminal 8 in order to do US inmigration and customs but; should I drop off my bags at Terminal 8 or carry them to Terminal 1 and drop them off at JAL's counter?
Yes, that is just enough time. Yes, the AirTrain is your only option. Yes, You will be able to re-check your bags at the re-check desk in Terminal 8.
Great response! I really thought I had to carry all my luggage to T1. Thanks for your help!
I am flying from barbados J to JFK via Jet BLue , arriving 648pm. How much time is needed to get to Terminal 4 for Delta flight to RDU? I have no checked luggage and am a us citizen. I have two separate reservations - can they be made into one to expedite things? Can I print a boarding pas ahead of time for the NY to RDU flight?
Delta and Jetblue do not have an interline agreement so they can't be combined. If you have internet in Barbados you can check in for your Delta flight there. I would want at least 2 hours between flights, preferably 2.5 hours.
We are flying to JFK, spending a weekend in NY, then flying to Mexico on vacation. Home trip we are coming back to JFK (terminal 4) to connect to the return trip from JFK (terminal 1). We have 5 hours layover here. 1) Is that enough time? 2) Do we need a separate transfer VISA for this or are we covered with the ESTA we will need anyway for the weekend trip
We are flying in from and back to Europe btw
If you are eligible to enter the US on ESTA you never need a transit visa for the US. Yes, 5 hours should be enough time.

On 15th October
Flying from Moscow, aeroflot SU 100
to JFK terminal 1
ETA 12.25

I have to go through customs, pick up luggages then go to terminal 2, register with Delta to Tampa, board
ETD 15.29 h

From ETA to ETD = 3 hours
Is this enough time or not
Yes, that should be enough time if the Aeroflot flight is on-time.
I am connecting from Delta domestic to Singapore International to FRA, I have 3 hours connection both directions will that be enough time? From what I can tell the are both in terminal 4?
Yes, that should be enough time. Some domestic Delta flights use Terminal 2 but they are connected inside security to Terminal 4 by a shuttle if your bags are checked through or you don't have checked bags.
Hello. I am Georgian citizen, flying from Istanbul to Kingston(Jamaica)
via JFK. Istanbul-JFK is operated by Turkish Airlines and JFK-Kingston is operated by JetBlue. I have to change terminals in JFK, do I need any kind of visa? Ticket is in one order.
Yes, you need a US Transit Visa. In JFK you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go to Terminal 5 on the AirTrain and go through security.
I am arriving JFK on Delta from PHL in Term 4, and catching a KAL flight to Seoul in Term. 1. I have 2 hrs. for the connection. Do I have enough time?
Yes, that should be enough time. You just have to take the AirTrain to Terminal 1 and go through security.
I arrive in Terminal 4 and have to take my next flight from terminal 5. have 3 hours of layover. Do I need to clear customs in terminal 4 and do the security check again at terminal 5? Travelling with a baby and want to prepare in advance. thanks
Where are you flying into JFK from? What airline are you flying?
Flying from bermuda in jetblue and going to Dubai in emirates.
You have your terminals reversed. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Bermuda and arrive in Terminal 5, then you will take the AirTrain to Terminal 4 and go through security. You don't have to go through Customs at JFK. You have enough time.
