I am an Australian citizen coming from Hong Kong(Via Cathay pacific) which lands at 7:00am, then I have a connecting flight to Boston(Via jetBlue) at 9:52am, will I have enough time to go through immigration, customs and recheck my luggage again?
Yes, that should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Dears, Will land at JFK from Miami at 15:10 with Delta and checked bags . And have internationnal flight to Brussel at 18:00 (Brussel Airlines) - separate tickets. Would that be enough time to re-check + security? Cheers, BR
that's just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I forgot, non US citizen (French), txs
Your citizenship doesn't matter for this process. There is no US immigration or customs when leaving the US.
I have a query on terminal transfers within JFK. I will be on international travel from U.S to India where I have 2 transfers. First transfer seems to be to JFK Terminal 5 ARR and I need to catch AUH in Terminal 4 DEP. Is the transfer going to be walkable or do I need to take train/ bus to travel within Terminal 5 to Terminal 4?
You need to take the AirTrain from T5 to T4. It doesn't take very long but you will have to go through security again in T4.
Thanks! I have 3 hours of time to catch AUH. Will that be enough covering security check?
I am flying Etihad from Abu Dhabi direct to New York, JKF. I need to then take a domestic flight to Miami. Is the domestic terminal easily accessible on foot? How much time should I budget for this transition? For the domestic, I will be flying either AA or Delta. Thanks!
JFK does not have a single "domestic terminal". AA flights depart from terminal 8 and Delta flights from 4 and 2. Since you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Abu Dhabi, this connection can be done in about 2 hours.
Hello, I'm looking at a flight from Vancouver to JFK with Cathay Pacific landing at 06:00 am, and then departing with JetBlue at 08:00 to St. George, Grenada. I am a Canadian passport holder, and would clear into the US in Vancouver I understand. I will have 1 piece piece of hold baggage. Will 2 hrs between flights be enough time? Many thanks.
The Cathay Pacific flight does NOT pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. So you would have to Go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, take your bags with you on the airTrain to Terminal 5, re-check them with JetBlue, and go through security. I don't think 2 hours is enough time to do that.
I will arrive JFK 3:15 pm from Cairo ,the My next flight via Delta to Austin will be 6:30 . Do you think it's enough transit time ?
I AM TRAVELLING FROM JAMAICA TO INDIA VIA JFK AIRPORT. I AM TRAVEELING WITH JET BLUE N CONNECTING FLIGHT IS EMIRATES AND BETWEEN THESE CONNECTION ITS 1.45 MINS LAYOVER SO DO I HAVE TO GO THRU CUSTOME AND CHECK OUT N CHECK IN MY BAGGAGE IS IT APPROPRIATE TIME TO DO ALL THESE CUSTOMS ETC.. PLZ SUGGEST ME what to do so i will not miss my connecting flight
Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk (if they are already tagged through to Emirates), take the AirTrain to Terminal 4, re-check your bags with Emirates if they were only tagged to JFK, then go through security and to your departure gate. That is not reasonably enough time for this connection.
