Hello all, i'll fly from milan to chicago, landing in JFK for connection. As far as i can see the terminal of arrival in JFK is the 4, the same of the second fly. I have about 2h and 30 between the first fly and the second. Is it enough time?
What airlines are you flying? Are your tickets on one reservation or two separate reservations?
Delta Airlines, it's one reservation
Yes, that should be enough time if the first flight is on-time.
Hi everyone,
I am flying from paris CDG with delta to JFK and then connecting to Miami .
My flight is scheduled to arrive at 1:20 pm but I've checked the past flights and it always arrives closer to 2 pm. My connecting flight leave at 3. It is one single ticket - does this mean I don't have to pick up my luggage and recheck it in ? Will I have enough time ?
Thanks !!
You have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. If you miss your connection they can likely rebook you to Miami through Atlanta.
Thanks for the heads up.
I'm flying business and then delta one for domestic, if I miss it will they rebook me in the same class ?
Yes, they will as long as there is availability. If there is only availability in coach they will give you the option to either ride in coach or on the next flight with First class available.
I'm flying DELTA/VIRGIN from Richmond, VA, to London via JFK. arriving terminal 2 or 4, departing terminal 4 to London with 90 minute layover time. Will be checked all the way through. Do I have enough time?
Both flights will be in Terminal 4. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
I would like to know if my connection time is enough...i have 1h45 between my 2 flights with Delta Airlines both in Terminal 4. I know i have to clear immigration and us customs then recheck my bag and go through security again....well im very stressful about missing my flight to punta cana and i wonder why delta is booking passengers with such tight connections....If they do it that might mean it is possible? i secure the phone number of delta airline of terminal 4 in case im in a hurry...do you think they'll help me catching my flight?
Where are you flying into JFK from? No, calling them won't do anything and will just waste your own time.
Quebec city YQB
It is a tight connection but it is possible.
I have 9 hours in JFK so I think the time is enough, just wonder if I need to collect my checked bag. It is just one reservation and I am not a US citizen.
Yes, you will have to claim your bags to take them through US Customs, then re-check them at the re-check desk.
I have a flight from Boston to Rome with a Stop at JFK.
Boston to JFK is operated by Delta landing at 2:30...I then have to go from Terminal 4 to Terminal 1 for a flight at 4:55 to Italy

I am told by Delta that I will need to take some sort of Train that is 'right outside my gate' inside the Terminal so that I will never have to go outside and will not have to clear security again. I don't feel confident in what they are telling me...I know of NO train that is INSIDE.

Does anyone know if this is true? Or could someone tell the best way to travel between Terminals and will I have time to make my International Connection. Thank You!!!
The train is not right outside your gate or inside the terminal, it is located attached to the front of the terminal. It is called the AirTrain and it is very well marked. You have plenty of time for your transfer. You will have to go through security again in Terminal 1.
I will arrive from Washington Dulles with Jet blue on Terminal 5 and flying out to Japan from terminal 1.
My transit time will be approx. 70 min. Will this be sufficient ? I will have carry on bags only.
If you are already checked in for your flight to Japan that is just enough time if the flight from Dulles is on-time. You will have to go through security again in Terminal 1.
I'm landing in Laguardia at 12h. I need to get to JFK for a 14h25 departure. (Taxi or shuttle) I have no check bag. Is this enough time between arrival and departure? Thx
It should be just enough time if the flight into LaGuardia is on-time.
I am flying into JFK terminal 5 with JetBlue then on with Aer Lingus from terminal 5. I need to collect my checked back and recheck the bag. IS 1 hour 10 enough time?
If you are on two separate reservations, no, that is not enough time. Either do the trip with no checked bags or figure out how to get your bags tagged through to Aer Lingus.
Hi, from FLL to JFK terminal 5 I will arrive at 846 then from JFK terminal 4 going to DXB at 1040...is the layover time enough...do I need to collect my luggage and check in again in terminal 4...my ticket is on Emirates all the way
Your first flight will be operated by JetBlue. Yes, that is enough time. You will have to go through security again in T4 but you won't have to do anything with your bags.
