  • connecting Cun to TLV in 2hrs?
    Feb 17, 2016
Hy, I'm arriving from cancun using AeroMexico, it scheduled to land at 2150, and my second flight is ElAl at 2355 back to telaviv. These are two seperate tickets.. Is there a way that from CUN i send my bag directly to TLV? What are the terminal numbers for AM and LY. And, will i make it? (I'm using A2)visa Thanks in advance

No, you will not be able to send your bag directly to Tel Aviv. This is an impossible connection in my opinion. Both Aeromexico and El Al use Terminal 4 at JFK.

  • connecting flight
    Feb 16, 2016
I am traveling to USA with delta. I have a connecting flight from JFK to Buffalo. I have 1 hour 35 min. is it enough to catch my next flight?

Where are you flying into JFK from?

  • JFK connection between Emirates incoming and Jet Blue outgoing
    Feb 16, 2016
Hi, I have an Emirates flight from Milan scheduled to arrive at JFK at 19:00 and looking to connect on Jet Blue at 21:00. Is that enough time to clear customs and make the connection (2tickets)

With checked bags, I wouldn't try it. Plan on spending the night in New York.

  • Will we make it? Is 2hrs enough?
    Feb 16, 2016
We are scheduled to land in JFK on Delta 4370 from LHR at 11.50am (this is a virgin Atlantic flight under delta code share) and then connect to Delta 436 to CHS for a 13.59 departure. Will we make it as we have to go through immigration / customs and recheck the bags into our next flight?

That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • terminal 4 to termnial 8
    Feb 16, 2016
landing on el al - terminal 4, at 3:10 connecting to American- terminal for 5:00 depart. Enough time?

Are the tickets on the same reservation? Will you have checked bags? On the same reservation with checked bags or without checked bags that's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. On two separate reservations with checked bags, no, that's impossible.

  • RDU on AA T8 to BA T7
    Feb 16, 2016
Hey, BA changed my flight time to 40 minutes earlier. :( Now I land at 7pm at T8 on American Airlines Domestic, then have to collect 1 checked bag, go to T7 and bag drop off for BA flight that departs at 8:40 pm. Two seperate reservations. I originally had two hours which was fine in the past, but I'm thinking if I check in online before, then I might make it... Do you know if I'll make it? Please help. Should I contact BA and say the flight time change doesn't work? Thanks.

I personally would not feel comfortable with 1 hr 40 minutes. I'm not saying it's impossible, but I wouldn't try it. I believe BA does have a later flight - I would call them and ask to be moved to that.

thanks Zap! I've written them an email so hopefully they'll come back to me. I was thinking about it more... if I can get away without checking a bag. Then I believe I'd be okay. But I'd rather check with BA to change first.

  • American Domestic to Emirates International?
    Feb 14, 2016
In wanting to fly Emirates out of JFK specifically I had to piece together an itinerary. I may have shortchanged myself on time. I land at JFK at 7:33 pm and will have to claim my bags, recheck them with Emirates, and get through customs for a flight to Dubai that leaves at 11:00. That's a scant 3.5 hours. Is this doable or do I need to reschedule the JFK arrival time for a fee?

There is no US Customs when leaving the US. You should have enough time.

  • ATL to JFK (T2) to Tel Aviv (T3) checked bag 53 min
    Feb 13, 2016
I will have a checked bag, flying delta - connecting from ATL to JFK to Tel Aviv with 53 minutes. It didn't cross my mind at the time of purchase that I would be needing to do customs (if any) in NY not ATL so not sure if they will slow me down and cause me to miss a connection at JFK. Thanks!

Terminal 3 no longer exists. You may arrive in terminal 2 or 4 and depart from Terminal 4. There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you arrive in Terminal 2, Delta has a shuttle bus that connects 2 and 4 inside security. You have enough time if your flight from Atlanta is on-time.

  • Connecting with Delta from Quebec City
    Feb 13, 2016
We are flying from Quebec City to Seattle, changing in JFK and all on Delta, all on one ticket. However, I don't think that Quebec has US Immigration, so I think we will have to do that when we get to JFK. The time between flights is 1h30m, is that enough?

That is barely enough time. You will arrive in T4, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate, also in T4.

  • T4 to T7 connection
    Feb 13, 2016
Arriving Virgin America T4 from LAX at 10pm, departing Ukraine Intl Airline T7 at 12:30am to KBP. Both flights on same reservation, have check-in baggage. Return: Arriving Ukraine Intl Airline T7 from KBP at 2:20pm, departing Virgin America T4 at 4:59pm to LAX. Do I have enough time for connection? What exactly do I have to go through? What can I do in advance to save time at the JFK? I have 3 kids with me and really need to plan ahead. Thank you.

Yes, that should be enough time. On your way to Kiev in JFK you will arrive in T4, take the AirTrain to T7, get your Ukraine International boarding pass if you don't already have it, then go through security and to your departure gate. On the return you will arrive in T7, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then take the AirTrain to T4, get your Virgin America boarding pass if you don't already have it, then go through security and to your departure gate.

  • Do I have enough connection time between terminals 4 and 8 at JFK
    Feb 11, 2016
    I arrive at T4 at 9:22am (AA 2042) and depart T8 at 10:40am(SA204)

You have your terminals backwards. AA uses Terminal 8 so you will arrive there. You will depart from Terminal 4. Are both of your tickets on the same reservation? If not everything will have to go perfectly for you to make this connection in time if you have checked bags as you will have to claim them from AA in T8 and take them to T4 to re-check with South African.

Actually, I misread that, i thought you had a little over 2 hours when in fact you have a little over 1 hour. If you are on two separate reservations you have NO chance of making this.

My bags will be checked through to Johannesburg - sorry forgot to mention this.

Then you should have enough time. You will just have to take the AirTrain from T8 to T4 and go through security.

  • terminal 4 to terminal 1
    Feb 11, 2016
I am flying Delta. Arriving Term 4 and departing Term 1. Do I have to exit the secure area to catch the Air Train and then go back through security at Term 1? And is the Air Train the best way to make the transfer? Thank you.

Yes you have to exit security and go back through. You can either take the air train to terminal 1 or take the Delta shuttle from T4 to T2 and walk to T1. Very short walk

  • Travel between 2 terminals
    Feb 10, 2016
We are arriving at terminal 5 by Jet Blue flight and have an Emirites flight from Terminal 4. Layover period of 4 hours, how do we make the transit between the terminals

The AirTrain connects all terminals outside security.

  • Security between terminals
    Feb 10, 2016
Hi. I am arriving AA from S Thomas in terminal 8 and would like to see my grandmother off on her way to Israel same day, she's flying EL Al. Would love to meet her at her gate. Can I get from one terminal to the other without a boarding pass?

No, you cannot and Terminal 8 is not connected to any other terminals inside security.

    Thank you!

  • Enough time to connect?
    Feb 10, 2016
I arrive from SLC at 7:08 a.m.; Depart for Aruba at 8:35 a.m. Does anyone know: 1) Is that enough time, 2) will I have to take the tram, and 3) will I have to claim my luggage in between flights? Thanks in advance.

What airlines are you flying? I can't help you without that information.
