I will arrive on Delta at JFK domestic at 15:00. I need to make an Emirates 16:30 international flight. Is this enough time?
With checked bags that is not enough time.
Thanks and appreciated ZAP. On that feedback I'll reschedule the flights
First off thanks for this site and to those who respond. It is greatly appreciated! Flying into terminal 4-Emirates 0840am and on separate ticket due to layover time 1300 departure on American. No checked bags and US citizen. Looking at this thread it appears to be enough time but any additional input would be great. Thanks in advance.
Yes, that should be enough time.
Thank you ZAP.
Hello, am looking to book a flight from CDG to JFK on Delta 405, assuming arrival into Terminal 4. Have 1h54m transit time before a Delta 433 flight to San Juan, PR (which hopefully is also T4). Possible? Only with carry on. Thanks in advance.
Yes, with just a carry on this would be possible if the flight from Paris is on-time.
Hi, i am flying first time to US and want to know how to catch the domestic flight (Jetblue), i am travelling from Dubai via (Emirates airline)
i have 2 and half hour time between two flights. my booking is in single ticket.
On a single ticket this is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
HI Zap, Thanks for response, i would also like to know hot do i go to terminal 4 o terminal 5. if i am not wrong these are the terminals for my flights
The AirTrain connects all terminals outside security. Those are your terminals.
Arriving with Finnair from Helsinki to terminal 8, leaving with AA at terminal 8. Carry on luggage, european passport. Any possibility to avoid re-entry, like in other airports?
No, you have to do this at every airport in the US. You have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate.
How far from arrival gate from CLT to departure gate 36 to DBL - we're walking handicapped with long distances and wonder if we need assistance. Flight 100 from CLT on Aug 31
What airlines are you flying? Are you flying to Dublin? If so the code is DUB, not DBL.
Greetings! I am booked at an American Airlines flight from Milan to JFK, arriving at 1:40pm on a Sunday. My connection is a Delta flight departing at 3pm. Looking for opinions on whether getting through customs, security, changing terminals, and getting to the gate would be possible in one hour and 20 minutes. I will only have carry on luggage. I'm thinking I just might be able to make this happen. Thanks for your comments!
With carry-ons only it is not completely impossible, but it's still very risky.
We have a flight from JFK to Belgrade, on Saturday, 17 September 7.30 pm (Air Serbia )and we were thinking of buying the flight from San Francisco the same day, Virgin America-it leaves at 7 am and should be on JFK at 3.30pm. Most probably we will have only carry-on bags-would this time be enough to get to our flight? Are Virgin America flights usually on time? Thanks in advance for your answer.
Yes, that should be enough time. Virgin America's on-time rating is average. All New York airports are subject to delays.
This is definitely enough time, as long as your Virgin flight isn't more than 2 hours late. You have time to check bags if need be. Virgin America generally has good on time statistics. Leaving at 7am, the chances of a severe delay are tiny. You should be fine.
Hello I am on a delta flight from Punta Cana to jfk tomorrow 8/25/2016 landing at 6:15 I am then booked on a connecting virgin flight from JFK to Heathrow at 7:00 (one ticket) will I have to collect my luggage & pass back through security ? This is only a smal time period so is there anyway of ensuring we catch this flight? Thanks
Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. This connection is COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE. Whoever booked this for you should not have done so.
I appreciate your reply Thankyou. this was booked through a tour operator and it states that 45 minutes is the minimum connection period time. If completely impossible what do you suggest we do or what are the recommendations ? This was all booked on one ticket so one would assume delta/virgin would know this connection was going to be tight, crazy!!
Your Tour Operator is completely incorrect. You need to contact them and they need to change it. You need at least 90 minutes, preferably 2 hours. They are responsible for this.
US citizen, arriving from Barcelona, connecting to ORD, all on AA.com. Will I have to leave the secure area, and then go through security again, to connect to the ORD flight?
Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate.
Thank you.
