I have 10:27am flight to JFK that arrives at 12:21pm and then I have 41min layover connection for my Jetblue flight to LGB which leaves at 1:02pm.It is all on one tickect and on Jetblue. i will have 7 people traveling total. CLT - JFK - LGB.
That is enough time if the first flight is on-time but it leaves no time to spare.
My mom will be arriving from Syracuse on 22nd Dec at JFK terminal 4. She has her connecting flight to New Delhi from JFK Terminal 1 with a 5 hour lay over. Will I be able to meet her during this time? Will she able to come out of security area if she has already checked in at Syracuse?
Yes, she will have to come out of security to get to Terminal 1 but she will REALLY have to hurry to make her connection.
even with 5 hour lay over? will i get an hour at least?
Sorry, I thought you said she had a 1 hour layover. Yes, you will have at least 2-3 hours then.
I am very sorry! By accident I deleted the email with your answer! We are traveling 18-Dec-16 from DUB arriving to JFK al 13:53 (terminal 4) and after departure (terminal 2) from JFK at 15:25 to MIA, all the route with Delta in the same booking and with suitcases. 1st time in JFK airport. Please could you help me with qq: is it enough time?, In which terminal do I do immigration, pick up suitcases, drop up suitcases, custom, bus, etc. Any suggestion?
Yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin so all you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Delta runs a shuttle inside security between Terminal 4 and Terminal 2.
I have a Latin American passport and I am residence in Ireland... can I pre-clear US immigration and Custom in DUB?
Everyone on flights from Dublin to the USA pre-clears in Dublin, regardless of citizenship.
Hi, I will be arriving from Singapore at JFK's Terminal 8 at 1.25pm and will be departing at Terminal 8 at 2.59pm to Orlando. Do you think I have sufficient time and do I need to collect my luggage?
They are both on a single booking
There are no flights from Singapore to New York - what airline are you flying on your first flight and where is it stopping first?
I am going from singapore - london - new york - orlando all in a single booking
OK, so both flights are on American? If so you have just enough time. You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate in JFK.
HI, I Will Land at Jfk at 4.25 pm with delta from Italy and my connection to LA Is with American Airlines at 8.00pm. I Will have enough time to pass the controls, pick up the bag, change terminal and recheck the suitcases ?
I am flying from Baltimore to London on Virgin Atlantic but the flight (both ways) stops in New York (JFK). Do I have to get off the plane at JFK, get my luggage, go back through the regular check in process and then get on the NY to London flight? Or is it like any other connection where my bags are just moved to the next flight and I can just go right to my next gate?
In JFK on the way to Baltimore you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. On your way back to London all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate - there is no US Customs when leaving the US. Note that your flights between Baltimore and JFK will be operated by Delta.
Hi, I'm arriving with Airberlin to JFK Terminal 8 on December 21, 4pm with ESTA and leaving at 6 pm probably also from Terminal 8 to Orlando (AA). Do I have to get my luggage and check it again? Is this enough time for immigration? I have 1 reservation from AirBerlin for all flights. (If the flight from Berlin is delayd am I eligible to get a later flight ticket?)
Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. If you miss your connection, you will be rebooked on the next available flight, which is not until the following afternoon unless they send you through another AA hub.
