I have a flight from Boston to Rome with a Stop at JFK.
Boston to JFK is operated by Delta landing at 2:30...I then have to go from Terminal 4 to Terminal 1 for a flight at 4:55 to Italy

I am told by Delta that I will need to take some sort of Train that is 'right outside my gate' inside the Terminal so that I will never have to go outside and will not have to clear security again. I don't feel confident in what they are telling me...I know of NO train that is INSIDE.

Does anyone know if this is true? Or could someone tell the best way to travel between Terminals and will I have time to make my International Connection. Thank You!!!
The train is not right outside your gate or inside the terminal, it is located attached to the front of the terminal. It is called the AirTrain and it is very well marked. You have plenty of time for your transfer. You will have to go through security again in Terminal 1.
Hi
I will arrive from Washington Dulles with Jet blue on Terminal 5 and flying out to Japan from terminal 1.
My transit time will be approx. 70 min. Will this be sufficient ? I will have carry on bags only.
If you are already checked in for your flight to Japan that is just enough time if the flight from Dulles is on-time. You will have to go through security again in Terminal 1.
Hi
I'm landing in Laguardia at 12h. I need to get to JFK for a 14h25 departure. (Taxi or shuttle) I have no check bag. Is this enough time between arrival and departure? Thx
It should be just enough time if the flight into LaGuardia is on-time.
I am flying into JFK terminal 5 with JetBlue then on with Aer Lingus from terminal 5. I need to collect my checked back and recheck the bag. IS 1 hour 10 enough time?
If you are on two separate reservations, no, that is not enough time. Either do the trip with no checked bags or figure out how to get your bags tagged through to Aer Lingus.
Hi, from FLL to JFK terminal 5 I will arrive at 846 then from JFK terminal 4 going to DXB at 1040...is the layover time enough...do I need to collect my luggage and check in again in terminal 4...my ticket is on Emirates all the way
Your first flight will be operated by JetBlue. Yes, that is enough time. You will have to go through security again in T4 but you won't have to do anything with your bags.
Hi I am arriving at 11.15 from FRA in Term 4 and have a flight to BOS leaving from Term 5 at 1.55. Would there be sufficient time to make the connection ?
What airlines are you flying? Are both flights on the same reservation or two separate reservations? Do you have checked bags?
Thanks for responding, I am travelling in to T4 on Singapore Air and out in T5 on Jetblue. They are separate reservations and I have requested to link them since both airlines are code shared. Yes I have checked bags. I understand from jetblue website that they have a transfer counter at T4 after clearing custom to check in bags before taking the airtrans to T5.I am wondering if 2.40hr is sufficient time ?
You should have enough time.
Thank you ZAP
Hi, I am flying from Nova Scotia Canada to San Diego and connecting through JFK (carry on luggage). Is 42 minutes enough connection time?
What airlines are you flying? If both flights are on Delta then that is enough time.
Hi, I flying from MONTEGO BAY to LONDON via JFK all with Delta. I understand both flights will arrive at / depart from T4 in JFK. Will I have to clear US immigration and customs at JFK? Will Delta check my luggage through to London? Many thanks
Yes, in JFK you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate.
I'm flying jet blue on Nov 21 arrival time JFK 10.42 pm terminal 5. I am then going to terminal 4 to board China Airlines 12.20am. I'm pretty sure all my baggage will be checked through but is this enough time to get to the next terminal?
We only have an 1:04 connection in JFK from TPA to catch a flight to Amsterdam. The flights are on the same reservation for KLM Royal Dutch (operated by Delta). Do we go through customs in TPA or JFK? And will we have enough time to catch our flight?
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you arrive in Terminal 2, Delta runs a shuttle inside security to Terminal 4 where you depart.
I'm flying to JFK from Montreal on Delta and will arrive in Terminal 4. I need to get to another flight Jet Blue Terminal 5 going to Punta Cana. How long to get from terminal 4 to 5? Do I need to clear security in terminal 5? Does an 1h between arrival and departing enough if I have no check bag?
Yes, you have to go through security again in Terminal 5. I don't think 1 hour is enough time, even without a checked bag, even though you will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Montreal.
