I am arriving from Ireland at terminal 5 at 1:20 and depart from terminal 4 at 3pm with one person and one bag to check. Is this possible?
Since you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Ireland, that should be just enough time for your connection.
Hey everybody, I'm travelling from San Francisco to Venice through JFK , I got 1h5min transit time arriving and departing from the same terminal , T4. I got no luggage, just a small trolley Is it feasible? thank you
Yes, that is possible. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Thank you ZAP, but not sure: there should be a passport control since I'm European
There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US. All they do is enter your passport number when you check in and you show it to the gate agent when you board the plane.
wonderful! thank you so much ZAP
I will be arriving on Sunday, Nov, 13, on Aeroflot 100, scheduled for 12:25 at (I believe) Terminal 1 How much time should I leave to clear customs and get to a Delta flight from Terminal 4?
If you're purchasing two separate reservations i'd leave at least 3 hours.
thanks so much for your hlep.
Arriving into terminal 4 on Delta from Venice. Sitting in Econ Comfort so not the back of the plane however, we depart from Terminal 2 on Delta...is 1 hr 20 mins enough time to clear customs and get to terminal 2?
That will be very very difficult. It's shorter than the recommended International to Domestic connection time at JFK.
I will come in to Terminal 1 on Aeroflot and will need to leave from Terminal 8 on American Airlines. Is 2:00 hours enough time to clear customs and immigration?
With checked bags on two separate reservations, no, I don't think that's enough time. I'd want 3 hours.
I am arriving JFK Terminal 5 on TAP airlines from Portugal, and have a 2 hour window to catch a Jet Blue flight also from Terminal 5. Is two hours enough?
If both flights are on the same reservation that should be enough time. If it's two separate reservations and you have checked bags that will be difficult.
Arrive at 9pm on Jetblue (Terminal 5). Depart at 9am (next day) on Cathay Pacific (Terminal 8). I have lounge access and am considering sleeping in the airport. The primary reason would be to not have to go through TSA security again the next morning, however it looks like I cannot stay inside security and go to Terminal 8. If I have to go through security again anyway, I guess I should just exit and get a hotel. Options?
Yes, you will have to go through security again anyway in the morning and also the lounges aren't open all night.
Thank you very much. I'll book a hotel.
I arrive on Alaska Air from Seattle terminal 8 at 6:00 am and have a connecting flight on Delta terminal 2 at 7:00. Is there a way to go from one terminal to another without going through security again?
No there is not, T8 is not connected to any other terminals inside security. This is a very difficult connection, bordering on impossible.
I'll be arriving JFK on 9/21, connecting to Indianapolis. Will go through customs @jfk or Indy?
Where are you flying into JFK from? What airlines are you flying?
Iff I have a flight from Las Vegas ( LAS) with Delta ( terminal 3) arrival 21.43 and my flight to Amsterdam AMS with KLM is leaving 22.40 ( terminal 4) is there time enough and is the bagage labeled to AMS
JFK does not have a Terminal 3. You will arrive in Terminal 2 or 4 and depart from 4. If both tickets are on the same reservation your bags will be tagged to AMS. If you arrive in Terminal 2, Delta runs a shuttle bus inside security to Terminal 4. You should have enough time.
Thank you very much
