Hi, I flying from MONTEGO BAY to LONDON via JFK all with Delta. I understand both flights will arrive at / depart from T4 in JFK. Will I have to clear US immigration and customs at JFK? Will Delta check my luggage through to London? Many thanks
Yes, in JFK you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate.
I'm flying jet blue on Nov 21 arrival time JFK 10.42 pm terminal 5. I am then going to terminal 4 to board China Airlines 12.20am. I'm pretty sure all my baggage will be checked through but is this enough time to get to the next terminal?
We only have an 1:04 connection in JFK from TPA to catch a flight to Amsterdam. The flights are on the same reservation for KLM Royal Dutch (operated by Delta). Do we go through customs in TPA or JFK? And will we have enough time to catch our flight?
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you arrive in Terminal 2, Delta runs a shuttle inside security to Terminal 4 where you depart.
I'm flying to JFK from Montreal on Delta and will arrive in Terminal 4. I need to get to another flight Jet Blue Terminal 5 going to Punta Cana. How long to get from terminal 4 to 5? Do I need to clear security in terminal 5? Does an 1h between arrival and departing enough if I have no check bag?
Yes, you have to go through security again in Terminal 5. I don't think 1 hour is enough time, even without a checked bag, even though you will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Montreal.
I am flying to Doha from Denver. Jet-blue Denver to JFK. JFK to Doha Qatar airways. Probably I have to go from Terminal 5 to terminal 7 or 8 in my connections. I have single ticket for me and my baggage. I have only carry on. I have wheelchair assigned tickets. How to connect JetBlue arrivals to Qatar Airways departure at JFK airport?
In JFK your wheelchair pusher will take you from T5 to your departure terminal and through security and to your departure gate.
I'm flying from New Orleans to JFK on jet Blue terminal 5 Then I fly out on Air China at terminal 1 to Beijing,China. Do I have to get my luggage and check in again going through security?
If both tickets are on the same reservation you don't have to do anything with your bags in JFK, just take the AirTrain to Terminal 1 and go through security. however, if you purchased two separate reservations you will have to claim and re-check your bags.
Hi, I'm arriving in JFK Terminal 5 by JetBlue from Antigua. I land at 8 PM and have a flight to London from Terminal 7 on British Airways. I wil have one checked in luggage. Do I have enough time to take the flight? Thanks
You didn't post when your flight to London leaves, so I don't know if you have enough time. But with checked bags on two separate reservations you need 3 hours. Maybe you have a chance if you are on the 10:55 PM British Airways flight - it will be close. If you're on the 9:30 flight, no way.
Oops.. yes I am taking the 10:55 Pm flight to London
We arrive from Montreal 8:57 at JFK and depart 11:05 to Orlando both on Delta, giving us about 2 hours to transfer. Do we have to collect our luggage? Do we have enough time? Thanks.
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal. All you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time. Note that you will arrive in Terminal 4 and depart from Terminal 2, Delta operates a shuttle inside security between T4 and T2.
i am flying with AA from Manchester UK to Orlando with a connection at JFK. I land at 1.30pm Terminal 8 and my connection flight with AA is at 2.55pm Terminal 8. Do i have to collect my checked bags at JFK and re check on Orlando flight. And do i have enough time from landing and flight take off to collect re check and board my connecting flight. slightly panicing here
Yes, in JFK you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. This is a very difficult connection, bordering on impossible.
I'm arriving from Toronto, on a Delta flight. This will be at Terminal 4. I have 1hr40 min to make my connection, another Delta flight, which departs from Terminal 2. Is this long enough? What's the fastest way to make this transition - I hear there is a shuttle? Where do I pick this up?
Yes, that is enough time. Delta runs a shuttle bus inside security between T4 and T2. it is well marked and is also shown on the map on Delta.com You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto.
Hi. I am arriving into JFK Terminal 4 from London at 11pm at night. I then need to get a domestic delta flight from JFK to Atlanta from terminal 2 at 6am the next morning. Some questions: I assume i can grab a shuttle from terminal 4 to 2 but is this open 24 hours? Where is the best place to grab some shut eye for a couple of hours - is the lounge better in terminal 2 or 4? Finally, I am travelling on separate tickets so assume I need to obtain luggage and go through security etc again but would be good if someone can confirm. thanks
The AirTrain runs 24 hours. However, you are best staying in Terminal 4 until security opens in Terminal 2 at about 4 AM. There is no where for you to stay in Terminal 2. You also won't be able to check your bags again with Delta until the morning.
