I am US citizen with 50 minute connection . My flight to JFK occasionally uses gate C60; flight from JFK to BRU uses gates B30 - B36. Is 50 minutes enough time?
Yes, that should be enough time if the flight from RDU is on-time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

It is my first time to have a stop over in the US. I have read many posts and I am not sure if I should expect a night in NYC.
I booked a ticket from PARIS to CANCUN with AA. We land at 12:35 and the next flight departure is at 14:55. Since it is two international flights, will I have to claim my luggages? Is the transit time enough?

Thank you
Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time.
I have 2 separately purchased tickets with 4 hour connection time. Is this the correct procedure?

1. international flight arrives at T4
2. go through immigration
3. Claim baggage
4. Customs
5. Right after customs, check in baggage, get boarding pass (usually there is a Delta desk on the airside)
6. Go through the security (but where? outside or airside?)
7. Take Delta shuttle from T4 to T2
8. Get on board the domestic flight
That is correct. However, where are you flying into JFK from? Also, Security is the main checkpoint on the departure level.
TY. International flight from Seoul, Korea. My question is do I security check at T2 (Delta departure terminal) among the passengers who arrive at the airport? Or security check at T4 among in transit passengers?
There is no special checkpoint for transit passengers. you can either go through the regular checkpoint in T4 and then take the shuttle to T2 or take the airtrain to T2 and go through security there.
I'm in a similar situation but I don't have a US VISA cos it is an impromptu flight and I'm only transiting for a few hours. Will this be a problem?
Aloha, I'm traveling from LA to JFK on Virgin America and arrive at 7:30a. If I book a flight to Buffalo through JetBlue at 8:39, with no bags to check, will I make it? Thank you!
It's possible, but the flight from LA absolutely needs to be on-time for you to make it.
Thanks Zap. I'm gonna risk it for a biscuit.
I'm arriving on Asiana at 11am at T4 and need to connect to AA for a domestic flight departure of 12:30p out of T8. I have Global Emtry and TSA Pre, but will need to collect my bags and recheck them with AA. This enough time?
It's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. I'd say you'd have no chance without Global Entry.
I have booked a flight with BA holidays to Orlando with connecting flights in JFK but am concerned at some of the posts on here about the time taken to transfer. Flight details are from London Heathrow, BA 1506/AA105 arrives Terminal 8 at 18:05 and Orlando/MCO connecting flight BA4676/AA1120 departs from Terminal 8 at 19:30. What can we do to minimise the risk of not catching the connection. We are a family of 5 UK nationals on ESTA.
Sit as far forward in the plane as you can, don't check any bags, and run. That's a very difficult connection and below the minimum International to domestic connection time at JFK.
Hello, I will arrive at the Terminal 2 from Zurich. I have to meet my girlfriend that will arrive with a domestic flight at T4. Do you know if the T2 has a US immigration facility? or will I do the US immigration check at T4 and so get out from at T4 arrival?
Thanks for the help.
No, Terminal 2 does not have an immigration facility. If you are on a Delta flight from Zurich, you will arrive in Terminal 4.
I arrive at 1:45 from Bermuda at terminal 8 and have a 5:10 flight to Paris from terminal 7. No checked baggage. Is this enough time?
Yes, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Bermuda, so all you have to do in JFK is take the AirTrain to T7, get your boarding pass if you don't already have it, and go through security.
Hi, flying from Dub via JFK to MCO with Delta on one ticket, Sept 22, have 1hr 40min connection time, will clear customs in DUB, can I check bags through or will I have to collect? Travelling with wife and 3 kids, one of which is an infant, flying into T4 and out from T2 will I have enough time? DL45 is flight and seems to be frequently late!
Yes, you won't have to claim your bags in JFK. All you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Delta runs a shuttle from T4 to T2 inside security. You should have enough time.
Thank you for that info, it is a relief not to have to collect and recheck bags
we are flying into jfk arriving at T5 at 14.50 then having to collect baggage and re check in for a different airline at T8 leaving at 19.20 how easy is it to get from one terminal to the other and is it possible to do in this time scale our flights are in August if that makes a difference
That should be plenty of time. The AirTrain connects all terminals outside security fairly quickly.
