My son will be arriving at JFK at 6am from Tel Aviv. He has a flight 3 hours later on Jet Blue to Nassau, Bahamas. I assume he will be able to print a boarding pass while in Israel or get it on his phone. Will he have to check in at Jet Blue to get a baggage ticket or can he carry his luggage through security and check his luggage at the gate for the flight? He will have a large racksack and a small backpack. I have purchased him Save Time on Jet Blue for the extra $10. Does he have enough time? Thank you
If it's all one reservation he should be issued both boarding passes by El Al in Tel Aviv, if not he will have to do the whole process in JFK. If it's one reservation he can re-check his bag right after clearing customs in JFK rather than having to take it to the JetBlue Check-in Desk to re-check . If it's two separate reservations he has to take his checked bag to the JetBlue Check in Desk in Terminal 5 to re-check it.
We will be departing KEF (Iceland) via Icelandair and landing at JFK (Terminal 7, I think). We need to then fly from JFK to JAX via JetBlue (T5?). We expect to arrive at JFK at 7:10 pm and will then obviously have to clear customs and immigration. We will not have checked baggage, carry on only. The last JetBlue flight leaves an hour and twenty minutes later, at 8:30 pm. Is an hour and twenty minutes enough time to get through customs and to the next terminal or do we need to suck it up and spend the night? It will be a Wednesday evening in late March, if that makes any difference.
No, that's not possible at all. You'll have to spend the night.
Hi everyone! I have a flight from new orleans to jfk (jetblue)and then jfk to dubai (emirates); is one hour and a half enough time between this flights? I have been told I have to recheck my luggage .thank you!
Is it one reservation or two separate reservations?
I'm flying from London Heathrow on Virgin Atlantic to JFK and then connecting to a Delta flight to MCO (orlando). I understand you have to go through Immigration at JFK, get your baggage and go through customs at JFK, and then re-check your bags in straight away after customs. What i want to know is where the re-checking desks are for the connecting flights. I'm trying to find a video or a photo online or a map of it and i can't find it at all. I just would like to know where exactly it is once i land so i'm not stressing about finding it.
It's right after you clear customs. It'll be hard to miss.
I arrive at terminal 7 from London then need terminal 8 to fly to Cincnatti Do I need to collect my luggage and then check it in again at terminal 8 I'm flying in with BA and then onto Cincnatti with AA. I have 3 hours between flights. When I went through Chicago I just dropped my luggage off and didn't have to check it back it in
Yes, you will just drop your baggage off after clearing customs in T7, then take the AirTrain to T8 and go through security.
I am traveling from Abu Dhabi to Austin via etihad. I have a connecting flight via jetBlue (EY 8259). Do I have to change airports or check out baggages again? How long is it takes to change flights? Is it walkable distance? I have requested wheel chair as can't walk longer.
Since you pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Abu Dhabi, all you have to do is take the AIrTrain from Terminal 4 where you arrive to Terminal 5 and go through security. Nothing with your baggage.
