I arrive at jfk terminal 8 from Charlotte at 5.59pm and fly out of T8 to Birmingham UK at 6.55pm. As the transfer time is so short, will I need to go through security if I am arriving and departing from the same terminal? I worry that I may not have enough time to catch my international flight.
You will not have to go through security. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
I've got a flight into JFK from Berlin on Monday @ 4pm. My Jetblue flight to IAD leaves @ 1:23pm. I will only have a carry-on. Can I make it if I check-in online for my Jetblue flight before boarding the AirBerlin flight to JFK?
Sorry meant to say that the flight to IAD departs at 4:23pm
It's still very unlikely that you can make that, even without checked bags.
Hi, I book from Fort Lauderdale to Abu Dhabi on Etihad airways with flight connection on JFK, The domestic flight will be on Jetblue, do I have to claim my bags and recheck for final destination? Thanks
If both flights are on the same reservation then you don't have to do anything with your bags in JFK. All you have to do is change terminals on the AirTrain and go through security.
Hi I am travelling to Minneapolis from Delhi with a stop at JFK and on a single ticket. Both arrival and departure are at Terminal 4. Do i need to collect my baggage at JFK and re-check in? Or what will be the procedure there ?
I will be flying Delta Airlines from Amsterdam to JFK arriving at 12:56 with a DL connecting domestic flight at 14:55. This gives me just 2 hours to clear immigration. Is this sufficient time and do I need to collect my baggage although my connecting flight is also with the same reservation and airline? Thank you
That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
I am arriving into JFK T4 at 1140 with Virgin Atlantic from LHR and will be departing with Delta onto MCO at 1340. I was sold this flights by virgin as one ticket but personally I don't believe it is long enough as I have to clear customs and collect my luggage along with my partner before making the journey to T2 to check in for the Delta flight. Is there anywhere in T4 to check in for delta flights (a connection desk in arrivals as such) or will I have to hot foot it to T2. I have raised the question to Virgin to see if they can move me onto the later MCO flight which Deps around 1530 but they declined to help - I thought it would benifet both parties in the event i had to be rebooked at the airport. Any help/suggestions would be great. I already know of a shuttle in T4 deps to T2 but i have checked in luggage which i wouldnt get through security at T4.
Yes, you should be able to re-check your bags at the re-check desk in T4 after clearing customs. There is also a regular Delta check-in counter in T4. You can go through security in T4.
I'm arriving to JFK on early October at 5:15am and have a connection flight to Cancun (T1) at 6:55am. I'm not a US citizen. Any chance I can make it? (In expertflyer it seems marginal - they say 2 hours for I-2-I connection) The TSA lines based on their data should be short at this time.
That would be pretty much impossible with checked bags. Without checked bags you might have a chance.
