how to go from t2 to t1 in jfk in least time? how much time it takes?
The only way is the AirTrain. It takes about 10-15 minutes (including walking/waiting for the train).
Hi, flying from Dub via JFK to MCO with Delta on one ticket, Sept 22, have 1hr 40min connection time, will clear customs in DUB, can I check bags through or will I have to collect? Travelling with wife and 3 kids, one of which is an infant, flying into T4 and out from T2 will I have enough time? DL45 is flight and seems to be frequently late!
Hi, we arrive from Vienna at 14:15 and next separated ticket is from T5 to Orladno on 15:59. Is it enough time to transfer? What is the best way? Would it help if we take carry-on bag only? Thanks.
Arrive will be to terminal T1
With carry-ons only and if you check in for your JetBlue flight online before leaving Vienna you might barely have enough time.

I have a AirFrance/Delta flight from BLR to AUS via CDG and JFK. I am travelling for the first time internationally without a companion. Flight arrives into T1 at JFK and I need to take a domestic Delta flight from T2. Do I need to undergo immigration & Customs at T1 and then move on to T2? What about the baggage re-check in? Is it taken care at T1 or at T2? I have a 4.5 hour layover at JFK. Hope it is enough time considering I am travelling on a weekend.

If 4.5 hours will be too tight for customs/immigration and change of terminals, can I go for an alternate booking that has 7 hours layover at JFK?
Yes, in T1 you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, and re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then take the AirTrain to T2, go through security, and to your departure gate. You should have enough time.
I will arrive from China to JFK at terminal 5 and after 2 hours and 20 min I have my flight from JFK terminal 1 to boston. Is there enough time to be able to reach the terminal? I am also traveling on a VISA for USA. Thank you very much
You have your terminals reversed. You will arrive in 1 and depart from 5. If both flights are on the same reservation you should have just enough time.
Am I correct that I will clear customs when I leave from Dublin? Flying Are Lingus on 9/17 landing at 1:20. My possible Jet Blue connections leaves at 2:39, I believe they are both T5. Is it doable if I have already cleared customs? Thanks
Yes, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. If your bags are checked through or you have no checked bags, yes, you could make a 2:39 connection.
I am travelling with British Airways to JFK arriving at T7 at 19:30. Need to transfer to T8 for an American Airlines flight to Rio at 21.40. Is there enough time? I'm told I have to collect my luggage and hand it in to someone (its check in already) but do I hand it over in T7 or T8? And where?
Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk immediately after, then take the AIrTrain to T8, and go through security and to your departure gate. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Thanks very much for the info
hey , i'am travelling from CMN to MCO and i have a 2H05 stop in JFK , i have to go from terminal 1 to terminal 2 to catch a flight with Delta . will 2H05 be enough to pass through us immigration and customs and to change the terminal ? where is the airtrain located in the airport ? thanks for your help and sorry for my english :D
No, that's not reasonably enough time. It's not impossible, but it'll be really really difficult.
Hy, my flight arrive from cmn to jfk at 07:20 am with Royal Air Maroc and I need to catch a second flight from JFK to ATL at 11:05 am with Delta. I wanted to know if 2h45 is enough knowing that I will have a carry-on plus a checked luggage and I`m an international coming from a city outside US.
By my count you have 3 hr 45, not 2 hr 45, did you mistype? 3 hr 45 should definitely be enough time. 2 hr 45 is a bit more difficult.
Yes, I meant 3h45 sorry I mistyped. I`m a bit worried cause it`s my first flight, and I`ve heard that the security is more rigorous for internationals so I thought may be this would take more time.
Security is the exact same for everybody. Going through Immigration will take a bit longer because you are entering on a visa.
Thanks for your help ZAP, I hope everything will go smoothly.
Hi, I am flying two friend from London to Chicago, they arrive Friday at 1pm at JFK and their connection is at 4:15pm with Delta to chicago.

I am wondering if 3 hours is enough time for them?
Yes, that should be plenty of time.
I forgot details. They are from France, Flying with British Airways, arriving at terminal 8. and the connection is at B51...
They have checked bags? you still think 3 hours will be enough?
I will arrive 18:41 at T5 with Jetblue from SXM, my next flight is at T1 23:55 with Turkish A. It's one reservation, I'm european citizen with visa. Should I go through Immigration, claim checked bags go through US customs and then recheck and go through security. To I take my checked bags with me to T1 to recheck there or to recheck right after the US custom at T5? Is it enough 4 hours for everything?
Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then take the AirTrain to T1 and go through security. You have enough time.
