I arrive at T8 at 12.05pm on a flight from Dusseldorf with Air Berlin. As I am trying to get to Boston, I am thinking of using some miles to book a flight from JFK to Boston with Delta (which would be a separate ticket). There is one at 2.59pm, which leaves me with roughly 3 hours to get through immigration, customs and change terminals for the other flight. Is this going to be enough time?
That would be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hello, I arrive on Friday into JFK T4 on Delta from PHL. My connection to Air France Paris is 2 hours. Is this enough time, and what is the best way to get from T4 to T1?
The only way to get between terminals is the AirTrain. You should have enough time.
My Mom is trying to get from Terminal 8 to Terminal 4, and thru security, in 2 1/2 hours. Is that enough time?
If the first flight is domestic, yes, that is enough time.
Thanks! That helps put my mind at ease.
Flying from Chile on LANTAm, via JKF and then connecting with another LANTAm flight to Toronto. Arrive at T8 and leaving from T8 , and only have 2 hours transit.. is this sufficient ? and I understand bags will be transferred automatically.
That should be enough time.
Hi ,
I have a Flight Coming into JFK at 1:03 PM on a Tuesday , and i have to catch a flight - Air India , which is at 3:10 PM

will 2 hours be enough , ans also it s just one reservation.

Please advise
On one reservation it's possible, but doesn't leave much time to spare. You will have to change terminals on the AirTrain and go through security.
FYI, I will be checking in My Luggage in Rochester and will have only one carry on. and my Jet Blue Flight Reaches JFK terminal 5 and i would have to Board by Air India at Terminal 4 .

WIll 2 hours be sufficient ?
I'm arriving on Delta from Tel Aviv and taking a connecting Virgin America domestic flight (I think I arrive and depart at terminal 4). I know I need to go through customs, pick up my luggage and drop it off. When walking from my arrival gate to my departure gate, do I need to go through security again? I've heard the lines are long and I only have a 2 hour connection.
Yes, you will have to go through security again. This will be a very difficult connection.
I am travelling from Egypt to JfK where i ll stay four hours & then catch an internal flight to Orlando international airport MCO, Do i need to check in my passport and stamp my visa through the immigration & customs office in JFK or shall i wait to the last destination?
In JFK you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags, and go through security.
Hi, I'm travelling from Manchester UK into JFK terminal 8. I then connect to flight to Columbus, again in T8. Both flights are with American Airlines. When do I clear customs and should my bags go all the way from Manchester to Columbus without me transferring? Thanks.
Yes, in JFK you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
Hi there arriving on AA from MAN to JFK and then connecting to BDA - will I need to reclaim my bags in order to transfer them to the Bermuda flight ? many thanks.
Yes, in JFK you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. On the return you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Bermuda so all you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I'm set to arrive via AA domestic flight at 10:01pm, and my separately booked ticket with Norwegian Airlines going to Stockholm leaves at 11:30pm. I do not have to pick up bags (all carry-on), and I plan to check-in online for my Norwegian flight. Is this enough time to make the connection? What is the process once I land?
When you arrive you will take the AirTrain to Terminal 1 and go through security. You have just enough time if the AA flight is on-time.
I'm arriving from Manchester to JFK. I have a two hour layover and then an American Airlines flight to SFO. My luggage is booked all the way through.
Will this be ok?
