Myself and a friend are arriving Terminal 5 at 13.20 from Dublin (Pre-cleared US customs and Immigraton in Dublin). Can we make a 14.55 Delta flight (probably from T2). Thanks for your help.
With checked baggage that would be very difficult. Without checked baggage it's possible but still risky.
Thanks ZAP. Your comment has resolved our uncertainty and, as I am sure you know, certainty is the holy grail of air travel. Much appreciated.
Hi there
Arriving at Jfk form Paris at 16:05 what layover should i plan to travel to vegas ?
2/3/4 Hours ?
Thx Dan
If you are purchasing two separate reservations I would want 3-4 hours. If all tickets will be on the same reservation, 2-3 hours should be sufficient.
Will land from Toronto via American Eagle at 8:03am then need to gather luggage and be at JFK for flight departing 10:40 for Johannesburg via SA airlines. Is this durable?
LGA is a mess right now due to construction. I really don't think that's enough time realistically.
Need to meet daughter arriving Term 5, 3:30. I arrive Term 8, 3:00 and need to claim baggage. Suggestions please. Also will need ground transport to NYC . Should I just wait in Baggage to meet /
You could meet her in the Terminal 5 baggage claim or you could each take the airtrain to the transfer point to the Jamaica station where you transfer to the Subway or LIRR and meet her there.
Hello, my flight arrives from Montreal to terminal 8 at 2:35pm and I have a new flight to Heathrow from terminal 7 to 6:35 pm. My booking is BA but first flight is AA... my questions is: Is it easy to move from 8 to 7? Thanks in advance for your help.
Yes, you just have to take the AirTrain one stop from T8 to T7 and go through security. You have plenty of time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal.
Thank you. Do you know if I must pick my luggage or it can transit directly
You will not have to pick up your luggage in JFK.
I am flying from Orlando to JFK then flying to Iceland. All of the flights are delta (or airfrance). Do I have to get my checked bags and go through security again? i will have approx 70 Min between flights. Is that sufficant time? thank you
Both are Delta. You don't have to do anything with your bags in JFK on you way to Iceland, just go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you arrive in Terminal 2 there is a shuttle inside security to Terminal 4 where you will depart.
I would like my bag checked straight through from Delta at CHS to Asiana Airlines at JFK. Is this possible. If not, what is the best walking route from the Delta terminal arrival point to the Asiana terminal. Alternately, should I get a taxi out of baggage claim to the Asiana terminal to avoid carrying heavy luggage?
If you purchase two separate reservations then Delta will not check your bags through to Asiana. If you arrive in Terminal 4 (Some Delta flights arrive there, some Delta domestic flights arrive in Terminal 2). Then you don't have to change terminals, both flights will be in Terminal 4. If you arrive in Terminal 2 you will have to take your bags on the AirTrain to Terminal 4 to re-check them. You can't take a taxi between terminals.
I'm flying from Orlando to JFK on jet Blue terminal 5
Then I fly out on China Air terminal 1
Do I have to get my luggage and check in again going through security?
Are your tickets on one reservation or two separate reservations? Regardless you will have to go through security again in Terminal 1. Also are you on China Airlines (flying to Taipei) or Air China (flying to Beijing). There's a big difference. There is no "China Air".
Thanks. On Air China to Beijing
One reservation
Then yes, you take the AirTrain to Terminal 1 and go through security.
I land at terminal 8 & my connection leaves ffrom the same terminal, do I go through immigration in JFK or at MCO,my final destination
If you flight into JFK is international you will go though US Immigration, customs, and security in JFK.
I'm arriving on JetBlue at terminal 5 around 21:30 and have an Emirates flight to DXB at 23:00. Is 90 mins enough? Do I need to collect baggage and check in again at Emirates -- and travel between terminals with 2 large bags? How long will AirTrain take to connect. Any help appreciated!
Are both tickets on the same reservation or two separate reservations?
On the same reservation. Although on way in JetBlue flight mentioned was codeshare EK flight, but this time it is mentioned as a JetBlue flight. But EK itinerary shows all the flights.
Then all you have to do in JFK is take the AirTrain from T5 to T4 and go through security. You should have enough time if the JetBlue flight is on-time.
do we have to take checked luggage before going to terminal 4 for emirates
If the JetBlue flight is domestic you don't have to do anything with your bags at JFK.
