I want to ask the folowing : i have to travel to Dubai thru JFK comming from Georgetown Guyana. I have lot of luggage with me and i want to know if i have to collect my luggage and make a new check in on dubai airlines or my luaggage will be send automaticaly to Dubai flight?
i ll be comming from Georgetown Guyana to JFK with Caribean Airlines and will leave for Dubai with Emirates. the both tickets are on same reservation;
yes you will arrive in Terminal 4, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then if Caribbean isn't able to issue your Emirates boarding pass in Georgetown, go get it at the Emirates check-in desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
I am arriving on JetBlue Terminal 5 in 3 hours and have to catch Emirates International flight from JFK Terminal 4. Only have 45 minutes to in transit to switch terminals. Is it enough ?

Exact directions will help greatly. (If I take wrong train, I am screwed) !!

Thanks
You don't realistically have enough time.
Looking to book a flight from CDG to SEA with a two hour layover in JFK. Is this enough time to go through immigration/customs and get through the airport for the connection?
That is just enough time if both tickets are on the same reservation and everything goes smoothly.
I am coming in to JFK from Brussels on Delta and want to purchase a new delta ticket 2 hours later to Fort Lauderdale. I was told my luggage can be transfered to the new flight to Fll, and that I will go thru customs, but will not need to go thru security again. How could this be? Wouldn't I be leaving one international terminal and going to a domestic one??? Hope somebody can help!
You will have to go through security again. Whoever told you that is wrong. However, it has nothing to do with "going from an international to a domestic terminal" All arriving passengers on International flights have to go through security before connecting to another flight. This is a difficult connection. You will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs in JFK.

You will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs in JFK. What airline are you flying from Guyana to JFK? Are both tickets on the same reservation or is it two separate reservations?

OK, so yes you will arrive in Terminal 4, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then if Caribbean isn't able to issue your Emirates boarding pass in Georgetown, go get it at the Emirates check-in desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
I am arriving into JFK international flight terminal 8 I then need to connect to a domestic flight on American Airlines terminal 4 my question is once I exit immigration and customs is there a counter for American Airlines where I can recheck my luggage or do I need to shlep it myself on the Airtrain to the next terminal. The flights are seperate tickets
American airlines does not use Terminal 4. Where are you flying from and to and what airline are you flying into JFK?
Flying from Tel Aviv via EL Al then AA to North Carolina
Ok, then you have your terminals reversed. You will arrive in terminal 4, go through US Immigration, claim your bags and go through US customs then take the airtrain to terminal 8, check your bags with American and go through security.
Arriving from Raleigh Jet Blue on terminal 5 at 21:15 and have to take Emirates to Dubai Terminal 4 at 23:00. Do I have enough time to make the connection. Reservation is on the same ticket.
on Aug 28th Sunday
Yes, that should be enough time. You just have to take the AirTrain from Terminal 5 to Terminal 4 and go through security.
My colleague will be taking a flight from Toronto to JFK arriving Terminal @ 07.50 with Delta. he needs to then get to Terminal 8 for a flight to London departing @ 10.05? he will not have any checked bag only hand luggage and will check in online. please confirm this is doable? - thanks
apologies .. arriving terminal 4 into JFK
Yes, with no checked bags that is doable as long as the first flight is on-time. he will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto.
Thanks very much!
My flight is delayed twice, and supposed to be arrived at terminal 4 at 10:40 pm.I need to check in with Norwegian at 11pm at terminal 1 to connect flight to Paris. Is any chance I can make it? How long does it take for train from terminal 4 to terminal 1? Please help!
Zero Chance - You will miss your connection and don't expect for Norwegian to be very accommodating. This is the risk you take when you book two separate reservations to save a little money.
I will arrive jfk terminal 8at 13.00 on AA and will board to montreal from terminal 8 by AA at 14.55 is the connection time enough to collect luggage and do the immigration and check in back my luggage? I am a lebanese passport holder
Where are you flying into JFK from?
I am flying from abu dhabi on 12 august AA operated by etihad 9057 to manchester arriving 7:40, from manchester at 10:15 to jfk AA 211 arriving terminal 8 at 13:00 . From jfk to yul AA 4196 operated by TRANS STATES AS AMERICAN EAGLE at 14:55.
Then that should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
