I have flights upcoming DUB-SJU and SJU-DUB with Aer Lingus and American Airlines. The layover from DUB-SJU is 5h20m and SJU-DUB is 4h33m. Our baggage will be checked through. I know we will need to take the Airtrain from T5 to T8 and vice versa. I think we have enough time but was just looking for confirmation?
Yes, that is plenty of time. All you have to do in JFK both ways is take the AirTrain to your departure terminal and go through security.
I'm looking at a flight from Brussels to Santiago (Dominican Republic) the 23rd of October, but the connecting time is only 2 hours and 15 minutes. Is that enough time or will it be difficult?
It's possible if both flights are on the same reservation. it doesn't leave a lot of time to spare, but it's possible.
Have about 2.5 hours to make a connection on Delta between an incoming flight from Atlanta and an outgoing flight to Edinburgh. I don't know the arrival or departure terminals. This should be enough time right? Do terminal changes require a TSA re-do?
That is plenty of time. If you arrive in Terminal 2 you can get to Terminal 4 where you depart using a shuttle bus inside security.
We fly in November with delta from Orlando to JFK then have a connecting fligh with Delta to Manchester (England) , Delta have changed our Orlando flight so we now only have an hour and 6 mins between flights, is that enough ?Thanks for any advice
That's enough time if the first flight is on-time. If you arrive in Terminal 2, there is a shuttle inside security to Terminal 4 where you depart.
I arrive in JetBlue from Santo Domingo at 3:37 pm, leaving to Germany on Lufthansa 6:00 pm , can I make it ? where are this terminals located far ? Thanks
You will arrive in Terminal 5 and depart from Terminal 1. You will take the airtrain between terminals. if both flights are on the same reservation this is difficult but possible but if it's two separate reservations it will be very difficult.
I land from London Heathrow at 12:10 and am looking to fly to Washington DC at 15:12 with Delta. Land in Terminal 8 and fly from terminal 2. Is this enough time please? I am English and live in Switzerland
As an edit I land at Terminal 8 in JFK with BA. I fly Terminal 2 with Delta.

Many Thanks
British Airways does not use Terminal 8 - they use Terminal 7. That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly. Check in for your Delta flight online before leaving Europe.
Dear ZAP, many thanks for your advice :)
Hi! I'll be flying YUL (montreal) to JFK, land at 7pm and catch a flight to heathrow london at 8h05pm. Will I have enough time to make that connection?
What airlines are you flying?
American Airlines for both
Yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal. All you have to do in JFK is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in Terminal 8.
Thank you very much :-)
My wife with 8 months old son traveling to India from Phoenix to JFK and JFK to India. She has lay over at JFK for 7 and half hours. I am thinking of going to fly with them from PHX to JFK. Will I be able to stay with them till they board their flight to India? When we go to the terminal 4 from terminal 3 do we have to go through the security? I will not have ticket to go to India from JFK. I like to go till JFK to help her to take care of baby but I want to find out whether or not do need to go through the security. If so I won't get to help her till.
JFK does not have a Terminal 3. What airlines are you flying?
Coming from Phoenix from JetBlue flight 136 to JFK.
JetBlue lands on Terminal 5 and her international flight departs from terminal 4. Would be able to go with her all the way to the gate for her international flight. I can book my ticket from JetBlue to fly with her from PHX to JFK.
You will not be able to re-enter security in Terminal 4 without a ticket departing JFK that day from Terminal 4.
Arriving to JFK at 07:40 hr from Chile (with LATAM), and flying out 09:30 to Tokyo with JAL. Both airlines are in T8. Is this enough time to make this connection ? Sound a bit tight though.
It's just enough time if everything goes perfectly. Also, JAL uses Terminal 1 not Terminal 8.
We will be arriving to JFK terminal 4 on EgyptAir, we will then transfer to terminal 5 to catch our Jet Blue flight to Orlando. We have enough time to do that as its 6 hr connection, but the question is the AirTrain inside the terminals or outside? And do we have to re check our bags and pass through security again even though its the same reservation as both carriers have an alliance?
The AirTrain is Outside security. Yes, you will have to claim your bags to take them through US Customs, then re-check then, then go through security in Terminal 5.
