If I am arriving to Terminal 4 via South African Airways at 6:40am (from JNB) and have a connecting flight booked separately departing on West Jet at 7:59am (to YYZ) also in terminal 4, is this enough time? I will only have carry on baggage, and I am a Canadian citizen.
Westjet does not fly from JFK to YYZ. Please double check your reservation to make sure it is not from LGA. If it is from LGA this connection is completely impossible. Even as it is it is very very difficult.
I haven't booked anything yet but the flight I am looking at is this:
Flight 6324 (Q) Departs: Sun Nov 20 7:59am New York - NY, John F Kennedy International (JFK)
Arrives: Sun Nov 20 9:51am
Toronto - ON, Pearson International (YYZ)

It's Operated by Endeavor Air, so a code share with Delta?

Does that make more sense?
OK. That flight is a Delta Connection flight. Still, a very very difficult connection.
Okay thank you. What about an American airways flight departing from terminal 8 at 9:25am. Would there be enough time to get from terminal 4 from the same arrival flight? Last question.
No way you could get out of T4 and over to T8 in that time frame - even without customs. It takes a good 30 - 40 minutes just to walk from your gate to the airtrain - T4 is HUGE - over a mile from one end to the other and the carts do not come very often. I do not suggest such a short connection.

My daughter comes in from Amsterdam tomorrow night on KLM (Friday the 1st) at 7:20 at term 4. She has a 9 pm flight on Sun Country to Minneapolis. Is that cutting things too close? She's been in the terminal many times so she knows the layout if that helps at all.
Without checked bags she can probably make it. With checked bags, probably not.
I'm arriving via Air Serbia from Belgrade to JFK Terminal 4 at noon. Then on a seperate booking, I fly domestic from JFK to Tampa at 2:55PM. I know my bag won't be checked through, what do I do once I get to JFK to make sure everything goes well? Is this an alright amount of time?
You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through Customs, then take your bags to the check in desk for the airline you are flying to Tampa (if it's in another terminal you take the airtrain to get there), check your bags and get your boarding pass, and go through security. You have enough time if your flight from Belgrade is not. However, the Air Serbia flight is often delayed.
We are flying to Orlando (Disney holiday) with Delta from Edinburgh. We arrive into JFK at 15:49 and our flight to Orlando leaves at 18:25. Both with delta, will we have enough time to get through. Or do we go through immigration in Orlando? Sorry first time travelling with kids overseas.
In JFK you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time.
My parents will fly from Milan Malpensa, MXP to JFK with Alitalia toward the end of July and will have a connecting flight with Delta 2 1/2 hours later TO DFW. Will they have enough time to clear custom and go through security again? Will they need to change terminal? They don't speak English and I'm afraid they will get lost
Yes, that should be enough time. Yes they will arrive in terminal 1 and depart from Terminal 4.
In September I'll be arriving on Jet Blue from Orlando and transferring to Iceland Air to Iceland and Paris. Booked one ticket via Iceland Air. The time between flights is 2 hours, is this enough time?
That is do able. If the first flight is on time
I am coming from Toronto, Canada tomorrow morning to JFK airport and have a 1h 15m connection before boarding my flight to Liberia Costa Rica. Will this be enough time to get to my connecting flight. I will be flying with Delta both flights.
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which will both likely be in Terminal 4. You have enough time.
Hi. Flying KLM from Birmingham UK to Amsterdam, and then Amsterdam to JFK on Delta 47 arriving 11.47, then JFK to Orlando on Delta 426 leaving 13.33. Will we have to collect baggage in NY? And is 1hr 46mins enough time?
Yes, in JFK you will arrive in Terminal 4, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk and go through security and to your departure gate, also in Terminal 4. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Fly Seattle to JFK on American Airlines. Land at T8.
Have 2.5 hours before our next leg JFK-Cairo (Egyptair) departs from T4. I'm assuming we will need to collect luggage and resubmit. Can this be done in 2.5 hours?
Yes, that should be just enough time if your flight from Seattle arrives on-time.
I have a flight from PAP to JFK, and after that a second flight from JFK to MXP. I have 2 hours and 30 minutes to go from terminal 5 to terminal 4. The flights are on the same reservation... do I have enough time?
That should be just enough time. What airlines are you flying?
I fly with Jet Blue from PAP to JFK, and with Emirates from JFK to MXP.
I'm an European citizen
Then yes, you should have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
