  • Delta from DEN to JFK the Air France A380 to CDG

We will have about one hour to go from one gate to the other, and was wondering how to get to the other gates and will the hour be enough time?

PS...There will also be a handicapped person on this trip.

That will be very difficult. You will have to take the airtrain from your arrival terminal to terminal 1 and go through security.

  • Transfer from T5 to T1

I will be traveling from Richmond, VA to JFK by JET Blue then from JFK to Taiwan by EVA Air. I will probably have carry-on baggage only. My question is that do I need to go through TSA again if I transfer from T5 tp T1 at JFK? I am thinking about taking JET Blue's flight arriving at JFK at 10:19am and my EVA Air international flight will departure at 12:45pm. Is it too rush to transfer between these two flights?

Yes, you will have to go through security again in T1. With no checked bags that would be enough time.

HI, I will be traveling from DUB IR to LA using Air France and we`ll have to change flight in JFK transfer time being 1.40h. The flight will be on the same booking and the same airline. Will that be enough considering the security checks and luggage transfer?

Air France does not fly from Dublin to JFK? If you are on a nonstop flight then both flights are actually on Delta. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin and all you have to do in JFK is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in Terminal 4. You should have enough time.

Hello Im landing JFK T4 Saturday 16.38 from UK - Will I have enough time to get the JetBlue T5 flight to Buffalo at 18.38?

Yes just jump on the sir train

That's barely the limits of what's possible. It will be much easier if you don't have checked bags. What airline are you flying to JFK?

Hi we are on Delta from MAN - JFK Thanks

And we have checked bags (unfortunately!)

  • Is this enough time?

We're traveling from Venice to Austin through JFK, both US citizens and no checked luggage. We land at 4:50 pm in JFK and our connecting flight to Austin is at 6:25 pm. Is 1hr 35 mins enough time to go through customs and security?

Forgot to mention the airline is Delta and we have to change terminals I believe.

We booked a JET BLUE flight from savannah to JFK arriving 8pm. We have a Delta Flight from JFK to Dublin Ireland leaving at 10:30. Will we have time to get our bags and then get on Delta flight in international terminal? Do we go through security again?

There is no "international terminal." You arrive in terminal 5 and depart from Terminal 4. You will have to go through security again after you recheck your bags with Delta. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • Choice of airports: JFK, Philly, or Boston

Looking into flights to London from Syracuse. I have the choice of flying AA and connecting in Philadelphia with 1 hour 17 mins, flying AA and connecting in Boston with 1 hour 10 mins, or flying Virgin and connecting in JFK with 1 hour 26 min. I don't know if any of those connectiing times are enough for those airports. The flight would be all one ticket.

    PHL would be the easiest.

Hello, I have an AA flight out of terminal 8 Friday at 8am, my partner has a Philippine Airline flight out of terminal 1 Friday at midnight. Would I be able to go through security at terminal 1 and then go back to terminal 8 before my flight?

No, you won't be able to go through security in Terminal 1.

Hi, about to book a flight from San fran to Ireland. Ebookers suggesting a 52 min stop in JFK to change flights. Would our bags be checked through and would we have to go through customs/security? San Francisco (SFO) to New York (JFK) Delta 409 Economy / Coach Class ( T) Depart 12:45 Arrive 21:30 Duration: 5h 45m Stopover: New York (JFK) 0h 52m New York (JFK) to Dublin (DUB) Delta 44 Economy / Coach Class ( T), AIRBUS INDUSTRIE A330-300 Depart 22:22 Arrive 09:50 +1 day Duration: 6h 28m Total trip time: 13h 5m

Yes, your bags will be checked through and all you have to do in JFK is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. That is enough time if the flight from SFO is on-time. There is no US Customs when exiting the US.

  • BOS JET Blue to JFK, China Southeastern to Siem Reap-?Customs/connecti

I fly from BOS to JFK on Jet blue, then to Siem Reap on China Southern Airlines. All on one reservation. Can I check my bags all the way through to Siem Reap in Boston? Where do I go through customs and immigration? And is a 2 hour connection time enough? Thanks

Yes, your bags will be checked all the way though. There is no US Customs when leaving the US. You will go through Chinese passport control in Guangzhou and Cambodian immigration and customs in Siem Reap. You won't have to do anything with your bags until then. All you have to do in JFK is take the AirTrain from T5 where you arrive to T4 where you depart, get your China Southern boarding passes if JetBlue can't issue them, and go through security and to your departure gate.

Traveling from Madrid on Iberia Airlines, landing in JFK, transferring to American Airlines to fly to San Diego. Do I have to re-check my bags? How about terminal changes?

You will arrive in Terminal 7, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, re-check your bags at the re-check desk (if they are tagged to SAN), then take the AirTrain to Terminal 8, go through security, and to your departure gate.

Thank you ZAP for the advise. I appreciate it.

  • LHR - JFK - MCO

I'm flying with Virgin Atlantic tomorrow and arriving at terminal 4 in JFK at 16:40, I then have a Delta flight from JFK to MCO (Orlando) departing from terminal 2 at 18:25. It was all booked under one ticket on the Virgin website. Do I have enough time, and also i've heard about a delta shuttle that keeps you inside the security zone? Does anyone know how this works? Do I to go through immigration, collect back, put on transfer belt, then somehow go back into the terminal to get this shuttle from terminal 4 to 2? Any advice would be great as I fly tomorrow

There is no way to get out of security at JFK. One at every entrance to each terminal. Go through US immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re check your bags at the re check desk AND Then take the AirTrain to terminal 2 go through security and go to your departure gate. You are outside security when doing US Customs. This is a very difficult connection. Is there anything that is a 2hr - 2hr 30min connection? That might help. I have never heard of a transfer belt.

I have been told that for Delta passengers transferring to T2 You will go through security in Terminal 4 after you finish immigration and customs and drop of baggage so long as your ticket and baggage is checked to final destination. Then the Delta shuttle bus will take you to Terminal 2 within the secure zone. I think this is the Delta Jitney shuttle. So you don't leave T4 and use the AirTrain. Is this Still Valid?http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_US/traveling-with-us/airports-and-aircraft/airports/new-york-jfk.html

  • LHR to JFK then ORLANDO

Flying Virgin tomorrow LHR to MCO via JFK on one Virgin booking. Arrive T4 16:40. Depart T2 18:25 on Delta flight that has Virgin code share. What do I need to do and can I recheck bag in T4 and stay with Security zone. Or done I need to go through Security at T2. How do I get between T4 and T2? Virgin thinks I have enough time!!

You will arrive in T4, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then take the AirTrain to Terminal 2, go through security and to your departure gate. You are outside security when you clear US Customs. This is a very difficult connection.

So you don't leave T4 and use the

AirTrain. Can anyone confirm this is valid especially for incoming international Delta flights into T4 with connecting domestic Delta flight from T2

Yes, you can either go through security in T4 and then take the Jitney to T2 or take the AirTrain to T2 and go through security there. Personally I think taking the AirTrain is faster.

Hi, I'm flying Delta from San Fran to JFK & arriving at 9:32pm. My next flight was booked separately with a different airline to South Korea at 12:50am. Is 3 hour transit time enough for me to check out my luggage an check in again to catch my flight? Thanks

Yes, that should be enough time as long as your Delta flight is on-time.

We are flying into JFK arriving at 18.27 with Delta. Under a separate reservation we then have a flight with BA at 21:55. Is that enough time for our connection? How long should we leave?

If the first flight is domestic that should be enough time.
