We have a flight from Madrid to JFK. I am booking a separate flight from JFK to Memphis. Is 2.5 hours enough time to go through customs collect my luggage and check in and go through security to board the flight to Memphis?
That is barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
I arrive at JFK on South African airlines at 6:40am. Would I have time to make an 11:00AM United flight at LGA?
That's probably just enough time if everything goes smoothly. Traffic will start getting bad by the time you get out of customs.
How is the best way to get from Jet Blue Airlines to terminal 1 Lufthansa.
Thank you.
The only way between terminals is the AirTrain.
My Virgin flight out of SFO is late and now I only have 2 hours from arrival at JFK Terminal 4 to departure via Delta/Alitalia to Rome out of Terminal 1. Any advice?
Coming into JFK from Paris with Reykjavik as connection. Can I accomplish Preclearance at Kevflavik?
No. Keflavik does not have Preclearance.
Flying into terminal 8 then out of terminal 7 with layover of 80 minutes. From domestic flight to International flight. So very tight with TSA and all. NO checked luggage. Can we catch internal shuttle from gate to train and then from train to security? Preplan or just flag down and board?
There is no shuttle from the gate to the train. You have to walk to the train, then take the train to T7, then go through security. You should have enough time.
I will be arriving at JFK from Dubai via Milan on emirates flight. It lands at 7pm on terminal 4. The next flights is Jetblue on terminal 5 after 2 hr 16 min. I will have checked in luggage though with airline priority on EK leg. Is there any change I can make this connection along with my luggage.
Yes, that should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I will be arriving at JFK airport through EK flight via Milan. It lands at 7pm most probably on Terminal 4. Next connection is after 2 hr 16 mins on Jet Blue from Terminal 5. I will have checked in luggage, although with airline priority on EK leg. Is this enough time to catch international to domestic connection....
Yes, that should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I and two family members are arriving from Athens Greece via Delta on June 1st. We have a connecting flight to Atlanta an hour and 40 minutes later. is that enough time to collect our bags, go through customs, recheck our bags and catch the connection?
That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
I will let you know. We are leaving Athens now for JFK. We hace 2.5 hr layover for BNA. From everything i have read we should be fine. However, we got a message telling us that due to construction, expect delays. Also, my Delta app has exclamation marks by Jfk flight.
Thank you so much. Delta thinks it's enough time. I'm trying to reach them now to see what other options are. I appreciate feedback from both responders.
We made it. Process goes like this:
1-get off plane amd go to passporr control.
2-more than likely you have ear passpoer so you will go to the left
3-get passport stamped and then go through door to get tour luggage...ours was lined up
4-go through
5-go through door and drop off luggage
6-go through the maze of airport (we went up two sets of escalators) to TSA
THEN YOU ARE FREE TO RUN TO GATE
Did you not have to go through Customs? and when you say TSA, do you mean you had to go through the security line again? and if so, was it the same security line as everyone else or just for people who had cleared immigrations/customs?
I will be coming in from Denmark on Icelandic air with carry on luggage only and need to transfer to Jet Blue. Do I need to go outside the airport to transfer and through security again or is there tranfsers within terminals? is 2hrs20min enough time? If you have ticket for another flight can you get a speed pass for custom lines if long? Thanks much
You will have to go through US Immigration and Customs, take the AirTrain to Terminal 5, and go through security. There are no "speed passes" at US airports.
