We are a Family of 4 with Little kids travelling from Charlotte to JFK and later the same day from JFK to Copenhagen (leaving at 10.p.m). We're not sure what time to book the flight from Charlotte in order to have plenty of time (including unforeseen events!) to collect our bagage from domestic, check in at international etc. We have an option of either arriving in JFK at 3 p.m or at 6 p.m. What do you recommend?
What airlines are you flying? The 6 PM arrival should work.
Our flight fr.o.m. London arrive at terminal 8 13.05. And then our next flight depart fr.o.m. Terminal 8 at 14.59. Do we need to pick up our luggage an then check in it again. Our is it going the whole way to Orlando by itself?
Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hello. I will be flying in from KUL on Etihad and arriving at JFK at 9.40am. I will need to take a connecting flight to MSP from LGA. How long will I need to clear immigration, colllect luggage, clear customs? And finally, how much time will I need to get to LGA assuming I take a cab? Appreciate the help. Thank you.
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Abu Dhabi. All you have to do in JFK is claim your bags and leave the airport. It will take you about 30-45 minutes to get to LGA at that time of day.
My suitcase didn't make it on my flight. It will arrive on the next flight. I need it immediately and cannot wait for the airport service to bring it. Who can pick up my suitcase and put in on a taxi to manhatan?
That's not possible.
I arrive at JFK at 5:20 pm and need to catch domestic flight next at 8:30 pm with JetBlue, do I have enough time to go thru security, check my bag and still make it to my flight?
What airline are you flying on your first flight? From where? Is it two separate reservations or one reservation?
I have a flight planned with a checked bag, that is actually stressing me:
Flying from Austin to Atlanta with Delta, then to Paris CDG with Air france, same ticket but one hour layover only, is that realistic? Do I have to go through all the customs and security operations? Thanks.
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.
I am about to flight from Paris to Austin, TX through JFK airport, same ticket (Air France & Delta have an agreement).
Registered luggage, landing at JFK T1 at 1PM EST, due to take off at 3:05pm T2, is that enough? Thank you.
That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. You will have to claim and re-check your bags in JFK in order to go through US Customs.
If I land at 2:30pm from FRA at JFK is that enough time to clear customs and catch a JFK 4:29pm flight to SEA?
What airline are you flying? Are both flights on the same reservation?
Anyway to transfer to a eairlier date? My flight is on Tuesday and I'm just hearing about a nor'easter. Wanted to know how to get a flight on Monday so I can miss the storm
Your airline has likely issued a waiver, check with them.
Can I go to JFK international baggage claim to receive my aunt who is coming to JFK from Abudabi through Etihad airlines
She will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Abu Dhabi and will therefore not use the International baggage claim. She will arrive like a domestic flight and her bags will be on one of the Terminal 4 domestic baggage claims.
