Good day,
I'm flying from Mexico City to Moscow via JFK and have 3 hours in between, however my flights were booked separately, which means I have to go through immigration, collect luguage and check in again. Is it enough time and would it be possible to use speed line for immigration? How can I do this in the shortest possible time? Thank you.
That's barely possible if everything goes perfectly. There is no "speed line" for immigration when entering on a Visa.
I am flying from PUJ (Dominican Republic) to Philadelphia with and over night layover at JFK. Will I be able to retrieve my checked luggage in order to go through customs at JFK and then recheck the bag to continue to PHL?
You will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs but you will not be able to re-check your bags until the next morning.
I will be flying in this Sunday from SFO on AA arriving around 3.45pm at T8 and my friend is arriving the same time at T8 from Berlin on AB. Where is the best spot to meet up ? P.S. I do have to pick up my checked luggage and don't think I am allowed back, to meet her at the international Arrival Gate.
Thank you for your help !
Meet at the exit of customs on the lower level.
I would be arriving at terminal 4 of JFK at 7-20 AM on 20th Sept,2016. Next I would be flying to Mexico by a Delta flight at 9-40 AM. Is the time gap enough?
If both flights are on the same reservation then that should be enough time.
Hello, I have a question about baggage transit/transfer desk.
In July 2016,
When I arrived at JFK from Incheon(South Korea) for going to Santo Domingo, there was Baggage Transit desk of Asiana and I used it.
But I couldn't find Baggage Transit Desk of JetBlue when I arrived at JFK from Santo Domingo for going back to Incheon.
So I went to Asiana Check-in desk for doing my check-in(Boarding Pass) and I did check-in my baggage once again.
Is there any Baggage transit/transfer desk of JetBlue in JFK Airport? and If you know it, Where is it?
Only in Terminal 5.
Thank you.
I already know that JetBlue uses Terminal 5.
But I couldn't see the baggage transit desk when I arrived at JFK Terminal 5.
Anyway, if I go there once again, I will try to find it.
Thank you so much!!
how long a layover do i need on american airlines in jfk coming from st martin going to boston to clea customs
That is barely enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Flying Delta from Halifax. A US citizen. What all will I have to do between flights? I have 45 minutes between flights. Am worried about being able to make it.
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Halifax. If both flights are on Delta all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hi my im trying to book a flight from Nigeria to canada for school, it says i would have an airport change from Laguardia to JFK, would i need a visa to go from airport to airport ? and has anyone had a similar experience?
If you are a Nigerian citizen you need a US Transit Visa even if you are making a connection in the US at a single airport.
I will be arriving at JFk from ATL via Delta and 2:35 pm and departing fro BCN at 8:11 pm. I would like to meet a relative who lives in NCY for lunch. Is that possible?
Yes, that would be possible if they come to you. It would be pretty difficult to go into manhattan and back to the airport in that time frame.
Thank you. I assume we would have to go outside of the airport to meet them and then go through security again. Is that correct?
Yes, you will
Hi There,
Please help me to get a better understanding on Transit Visa. I am an Indian and having Canada Immigration Visa. I am going to Canada first time. I took a Ticket in British Airways via UK and USA to reach there. The British Airways Ticket has a connecting flight at JFK with a layover or around 4 Hours. My question is do I really need a transit Visa for a Four Hours Layover on the same airport? Please help me with detailed description. Your immediate response would be highly appreciated.

Yes, you really need a transit Visa. Unfortunately your Canadian Immigration Visa doesn't get you anything in the USA.
