Jun 4, 201227I am flying into terminal 5 on jetblue while a friend from Germany is flying into terminal 8 on AirBerlin. Would I be able to go to terminal 8 and wait for them there without having a ticket? Would I have to go through security again?Stefaniposted on Thu, Jan 267 people like this post [ Like ]1. The Airtrain connects all terminals outside of the secured area and runs on average every 8 mins, making a continuous loop. 2. Your friend on arrival at T8 needs first to go through passport control, pick up bags, go through customs and (if he transfers to another flight) re-check-in his bags. That procedure would take 30-45 mins. 2. The Airtrain station at T5: Near gate 25 (or 1 at opposite) take walkway to skywalk & to Airtrain station. At T8 - proceed to the arrivals hall & meet him near the information counter. No need to go through security there (but on your return to T5). Alternatively, your friend could take the train and meet you at T5 - again in the arrivals area's information desk.PilotJoeposted on Thu, Jan 26

Baggage StorageJan 9, 201222I have demistic flght in 11 to new yourk and the next day i have the international flight but i have 6 baggages so can i leave the laggage in Baggage Storage to the next dayArrganposted on Mon, Jan 92 people like this post [ Like ]1. If you have 6 bags to check in at your original departure airport - you may want to rethink taking them onboard. You are being charged for each of the first 2 bags weighing up to 50 lbs. Each subsequent bag is charged at a different fee; oversized and overweight bags cost you extra. THEREFORE, you may want to ship your bags by freight which would be so much cheaper. Contact you Airline regarding this. 2. On arrival at JFK - if you don't freight-ship your bags - you need to make sure ahead of time that your domestic airline is transferring all bags to your international flight - chances are they won't - in which case you would have the task of collecting your bags and transporting them to your departure terminal (JFK has 8 terminals).HH39posted on Mon, Jan 9

Transfering from T4 to T3Dec 5, 201110I am arriving on an international flight (Emirates) into T4 and connecting to Cincy on Delta at T3. Can I re-check my bags for my Cincy flight at T4 or do I need to lug the whole lot with me to T3? ThanksMintfrogposted on Mon, Dec 5That depends on Emirates being willing to transfer to a Delta flight. Not all airlines extend that courtesy. You need to find out from Emirates. If recheck-in is possible, proceed after customs clearance & re-checking-in to T4's Airtrain station at the center of the Arrivals level. You will arrive at T3's outside domestic arrivals - no need to go through security check again. If you need to take your bags with you, the Airtrain will accommodate both. It runs between 4-7:30 am every 4 mins, 7:30am-3pm every 10 mins; 3-8pm every 7 mins.1039posted on Mon, Dec 5

Inaccurate LabelingJun 25, 201101JFK airport says no departure or arrival delays, yet my daughter's flight was supposed to push off at 2:20 and it's now 3:22 and they are still awaiting takeoff. And, the status on this site says "en route" even though the tracking says "will begin when flight takes off". Not real helpful to have such conflicting information, especially after an international flight that got the the US and had all flights from there cancelled out of New York for what is now almost 24 hours.tcposted on Sat, Jun 251 person likes this post [ Like ]

picking up passengers from RussiaJun 6, 201123I have to drive into JFK from Nebraska in late July to pick up a family from Russia at terminal 1. Flight arrives at 5:00PM. I'll come in on I-80. What's the best route to the airport? Should I park in cell phone parking and wait? Where should I pick them up? Any other help will be appreciated by this country boy!redtopposted on Thu, Jun 23 people like this post [ Like ]You are very brave indeed! Here we go: I-80 merges with I-95, both of which enter NY City over the GW Bridge (Hudson River below). Look for signs to take the Cross Bronx Expressway leading to 678/Van Wyck Expressway south. If you need to gas up first, take the right exit in the Airport to van Buren Road & thereafter continue on that road for a minute to the Cell Phone Lot. If you don't need gas, take Exit B to the Cell Phone lot. Stay there until your party has collected luggage & calls you to be picked up at the curb. The lot is only a five-minute drive from Terminal 1, and as you exit the lot's road to the passenger terminals, stay at right, T1 is the first of the South Terminals. You can also park in the short-term lot in front of T1 at $3 for 30 mins, $6 for 1 hr; but July is real busy. call JFK parking update at 718-244-4080, or for parking Questions call 718-244-4168. Good Luck!PilotJoeposted on Sat, Jun 4
