Passenger Drop Off and Pick Up (also see "Parking")
No parking in front of or next to any of any terminals, not even for a moment. Terminal frontages are for active loading and unloading only. Unattended vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense.
When dropping off or picking up a passenger, you can park in JFK's Cell Phone Lot, or park your vehicle in either a short-term lot or a parking garage. Another option is that you drop off your passenger at the Kiss and Fly at the Lefferts Blvd. AirTrain Station, where they can ride AirTrain free of charge to their terminal in just 10 minutes. If You enter the terminal with a passenger, note that only ticketed passengers will be allowed past the security checkpoint. However, you may enjoy any of the areas before security.

Pets / Animals at New York Kennedy JFK Airport
Animals are not permitted in the terminal at the Airport unless they are being used to assist disabled individuals, or are in proper pet carriers.
Smoking at New York Kennedy JFK Airport
Smoking is prohibited in all public areas inside the passenger terminals at JFK International Airport. However, smoking is permitted in designated areas within liquor bars
Travelers Assistance at New York Kennedy JFK Airport
General Information is located in the lower-level, baggage claim area of the terminal. Maps, regional information, bus schedules, and brochures are available as well as a courtesy paging phone. Volunteer Hospitality Ambassadors are on duty during busy times to provide assistance.
TRAVELER'S AID SERVICES
Traveler's Aid, the not-for-profit organization, furnishes both professional and volunteer staff who provide emergency assistance to customers (1) who are lost, confused, uncertain, or otherwise distressed (2) who have lost airline tickets or traveling papers (passport, visa, certificate of birth, etc.), (3) with insufficient funds, (4) separated from traveling companions, (5) disabled or elderly traveling alone, or (6) who incur other circumstances which would preclude them from continuing on to their final destination.
Services to be provided include, but are not limited to, connecting stranded or lost international passengers with support resources such as contacting the consulate of their native country, family members and arranging for temporary housing, emergency food or clothing and/or referral to local social services agencies.
You can find Traveler's Aid Volunteers at the Ground Transportation Counters in each terminal or reach them at the Traveler's Aid Main Office in the Arrivals area of Terminal 6. Their office number is (718) 656-4870.
VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA
Traveler's Aid Services works closely with Volunteers of America (VOA), another non-profit organization that services the homeless and others completely bereft of funds. VOA staff cover both JFK and LGA Airports in their ongoing efforts to offer an assortment of social services (detoxification, medical, psychiatric, temporary lodging, etc.) to the homeless.
