International arrivals transferring to a domestic flight need to clear customs & immigration, collect bags and proceed to re-check-in their bags.

Immigration procedure:
Passengers whose final destination is Peru must go to 'Immigration' and present their completed entry form or Andean Immigration Card, as well as passport or other valid document.  After immigration procedure check the overhead monitors for your flight number and pick up your bags. Thereafter proceed with  your bags to the customs area and present the completed customs form.
NEW CUSTOMS PROCEDURE:  After removal of red & green lights by Customs, there are now six new scanning machines after Customs for ALL baggage, one of which is used by the 'Preferred' line. You need to lift your bags from baggage carts onto rollers in front of the scanner & pysically push it onto the revolving band taking them through the scanner.  Presently, there is no attendant available to help if passenger has problems lifting.
