San Jose Santamaria SJO Airport Terminal Map Overview

Main Terminal / Concourses at San Jose Santamaria SJO Airport

Juan Santamaria International Airport has now two terminals - an International terminal which completed major renovations in 2003 and expansion just recently, and the new domestic terminal called 'Sansa Terminal', a short walk from the other terminal.

The International Terminal is quite large and has 8 boarding bridges, with the usual range of souvenir shops, duty free stores and a new food court with three fast food restaurants; a bank branch offering currency exchange and ATM machine are in the post-security area. Pre-security areas also include an ICT Tourist Office, and near the exit are rental car offices and counters for the Costa Rica Airport Taxi tickets.  Glass walls divide arriving and departing passengers.

The 'VIP Lounge Costa Rica' is on the lower level, across from gate 4A, accessible either to business/first class passengers of certain airlines, or of certain travel companies, banks, or members of a Priority Pass, or to travelers paying a fee. There is also a Diplomatic Reception Room for diplomatic visitors.
