Jyvaskyla JYV Airport Overview

Jyvaskyla Airport JYV is located about 20 km north from the city of Jyvaskyla, in the center of the Lake District of Finland, and is accessible via motorway E75, 4 & 13. Helsinki is 290 km from the Airport.
With  65,620 passengers in 2012, Finnair serves the Airport, while charters offer flights to popular vacation destinations. Reservations to all flights can be made at the Jyvaskyla Airport Ticket Office, tel. +358 (0)29 708 5785; or Finnair Contact Center (open 24 hrs): Tel: 0600 140 140.
The terminal is open Mon-Fri 5am-9:30pm & 11pm-12:45am; Sat. 5am-6:30am & 12:15-6pm; Sun  12:15-7:15pm & 11pm-12:45am.

The passenger terminal at Jyvaskyla Airport offers an Information Desk is in the departure hall (tel: +358 14 445 5761).  The terminal has a restaurant (Café Jyvaskyla), a child care room in the departure hall, and a conference room with AV facilities for rent, accommodating up to 20 people (for inquiries and bookings call +358 14 4455711).  A mail box is outside of the terminal and postage stamps are available at the information desk and the Cafe. Parking at Jyvaskyla Airport is available in front of the passenger terminal; The ticket machine takes coins, notes & credit cards (Visa, OK, Eurocard, Master Card and Diners Club). You can also pay at the information desk. The car park has spaces with electrical engine heating points (min. 2, max. 4 hours) at 1 EUR/hr. To get from the Airport to your destination you can rent a car (Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Scandiarent and Sixt – a free phone is available). Or you can take a taxi, which takes 15-20 minutes into Jyvaskyla at 35 Euro, tel: +358 14 106 900 or from abroad call +358 100 6900. The nearest railway station is in Jyvaskyla 20 km away.
While there is no public transport into Jyvaskyla, long-distance coaches are available from the Matkahuolto Oy directory.
