Kalamazoo Battle Creek AZO Airport Overview
Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport AZO served its southwest Michigan passengers daily with competitive air fares, ample parking with reasonable rates, short lines with timely check-in, and jetbridges for convenient boarding onto jet aircraft.
Major companies in this area include Stryker, Eaton, Perrigo, Kellogg & Pfizer.
The Airport is located in Kalamazoo, southwest Michigan, just south of I-94, off Portage Road (Exit 78).
With an estimated 303,500 passengers in 2011, Kalamazoo /Battle Creek Airport is presently served by American Eagle & Delta with direct flights to major U.S. cities and connecting flights to all points of the globe.
The new passenger terminal at Kalamazoo / Battle Creek Airport has now completed its terminal project by adding an expansions to the security checkpoint, the baggage claim area & the rental car facilities. Covered passenger boarding is now available for all flights and second-level gates boarding. Natural light is now being used more efficiently.
Amenities and services in the terminal include on-airport rental car agencies, the Flight Deck Café, The Old Fisherman's pub, free WiFi access, a shoe shine stand, a visitor information booth, an ATM machine, a real estate company, skycaps, the AZO Relaxation Section - with more amenities to come soon.
Current airlines serving the Airport: American Eagle & Delta.
Upon completion of the new air-traffic control tower by 2013, the old passenger terminal may be demolished or used for other purposes.
Parking options at AZO Airport: Note that parking in front of the terminal is for passenger and luggage loading / unloading only.
Short- and long-term parking is located close to the terminal. Short-term parking offers the first 30 minutes free - ideal for passenger pickup /dropoff.
All major credit cards are accepted and a self-service credit card lane is available for quick exit.
Rental car counters for major agencies are located in the Arrivals area of the Terminal.
To get from AZO Airport to your destination you can rent a car, take a taxi or limo (Leisure Limo 269-343-0848), a bus or a hotel shuttle. You can visit the ground transportation counter near the baggage claim area for more information.
The Metro Transit bus (269-337-8222) stops at marked bus stops and shelters and comes around every hour, Mo-Sat 7am-10pm.
Some hotels also offer free shuttle service for their guests--check the hotel/motel courtesy telephone board located in the baggage claim area.
