I am being dropped off at the airport by my dad this coming Wednesday afternoon, I don't fly out till early Thursday Morning. My flight is Gate C- where is the appropriate place for him to drop me off so he doesn't have to pay for parking?
We are flying out of MCI and connecting to a flight out of Charlotte NC and on to Grand Cayman. Would the flight out of MCI be considered international since our bags will be checked thru to Grand Cayman?
You may have to the counter for them to check your passports, so in that sense, yes. Since your first flight is a domestic flight though, it won't board early or anything like that though. The 1 hour shown on US Airways' website is a good recommendation.
Thanks Zap - I had seen somewhere that it was necessary to check in as much as 2 hours in advance of departure. Appreciate it -
Lost a black sony cybershot in a black shoulder bag beside Southwest baggage claim today at KCI about 11:30 a.m. Has my daughters gymnastics photos on it. If found please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call (816) 507-6793.
Baggage claim areas are the domain of airlines- you need to contact your airline's Lost & Found department.
Passengers at Kansas City Airport give a definite thumbs up to the terminal's design allowing for arriving passengers to quickly reach the exit doors, and point out that locals parking their cars across the street at the short-term car park can reach their gate in a mere ten minutes, as security points are at each gate. A drawback though is the distance from one terminal to another, which takes at least 20 minutes. Passengers also point out the friendly and knowledgeable volunteer Airport Ambassadors.
What a wonderful experience - we were approached by a lady who identified herself as an 'airport ambassador' and who walked with us giving us a rundown of the airport and showing us where to get something to eat.
